CHAPTER 4:

Alpha Nican's POV.

I opened my eyes slowly, I looked around and I was in my room, I sat up on the bed and sighed. I wonder when I will overcome this trauma in my life. It all started when I was little, after my parents death and I noticed I usually fainted anytime I make a wrong decision or anytime I see fire. I was about to get down from the bed when the door opened and Brian walked in

"Are you just waking up?" He asked and sat down beside me.

"You should have slept more, since you love sleeping!" He teased me. Brian is my best friend, and like a brother to me. Everyone respects me, but he finds it hard to do that, and I'm glad because at least I have someone to talk to.

"Keep up with the good work!" How long have I been weak?" I asked.

"Two days!" He answered.

"Your uncle has been taking care of the affair in the pack. I haven't been looking around cause I was taking care of you!"

He answered and I nodded.

"What about the girl? Melanie?" I asked again.

"Are you worried about her? You rejected her as your mate days ago, why are you suddenly worried about her? Or do you want to get married to her?" He asked and I sighed. When can he be serious for once?

"I'm serious Brian! I'm just asking about her, I don't want to kill anyone, How is she doing! And also her Father?"

"She is still in the dungeon and your uncle guards are watching over her, about her father! I don't know, I don't think he is being taken care of, he was badly injured that day, I haven't heard or seen him" Brian answered. I looked outside the window and back to Brian

"Give my orders! He should be treated immediately, my uncle shouldn't find out, cause he would be very disappointed!" I said.

"Why are you always doing what your uncle wants and not what you want? You should be able to make decisions for yourself, you rejected someone and married someone who you don't love!" He asked. I wasn't ready for this question now, this isn't the first or the second time Brian has asked me this and I have told him countless times that I don't want to talk about it.

"I'm not ready for that Brian!" I answered.

"Besides, I don't even know the first girl I was supposed to marry, I don't even love her, it doesn't make any difference!" I answered and he scoffed.

"You know within yourself that if it was up to you, you would have married her, because she was given to you by the moon goddess, you two were betrothed, and you went up against her will, do you know the punishment?" He asked and I stood up, I became angry.

"Where was the moon goddess when my parents got killed? Where was she? Did she even have pity on me? My uncle was the only one who stood beside me, he took care of me, he isn't even bloody related to me, he is just my father's minister, and he did everything good for my sake and you want me to go against him?!" I yelled. Brian stood up and walked up to me.

"So why are you giving your order to treat her father without your uncle knowing? Isn't that going up against him?" He asked.

"I just feel I should do it! I heard her father is her only family, she lost her mother, abs if she lose him now, that would make her an orphan, I have been there and I know how it pains, so I don't want anyone to experience it, especially people under me!" I replied and he smiled

"For some reason, I feel like you really are pushing yourself to do what your uncle wants, maybe because you think you owe him your life!" He added. I was about to answer his question, when a knock came on his door.

"Come in!" The door opened and it was Raphael, My personal guard.

"Good day alpha King! Good day Beta Brian!" He Greeted.

"You have a visitor outside, he said he is an alpha from another pack!" Raphael said, I looked at Brian who was also looking at me.

"I'll be there!" I replied. I took a quick bath, wore a royal cloth and went to see who the visitor was with Brian. I got to the throne hall and he was backing me.

"Alpha..!" I said loudly and he turned to me.

"Alpha Gregory!" He replied. I shaked hands with him and motioned him to sit, Brian sat opposite him and I sat down on the throne.

"I'm sorry, I Visited without any formal information, but I had to, it was very important!" He said.

"No problem! I wasn't busy when I got the message that you were here!" I answered. I looked at his appearance and he was a young Alpha, Maybe same age as me or a little bit older than me.

"I'm Gregory, from Crystal Pack!" He introduced. They were the third richest and powerful pack. I didn't believe I would be seeing him/her for the first time.

"It's a pleasure to meet you! So what is your message?" I asked.

"I got an information that my uncle and his daughter were caged here, it was supposed to be her wedding with you, but something happened, if you don't mind, I would love to take them with me and they won't set their feet in his pack anymore!" He went straight to the point. Such a straightforward man.

"Your uncle?" I asked.

"Our relationship is kind of complicated, and I don't think I want to explain it, but if you think I'm lying, why don't we go see her and ask her if she knows me or not!" He suggested. I wanted to say something and then I heard my uncle's voice.

"Alpha Nican!"
