Emily’s POV Aubrey instantly whistled before leaning back on the seat and blinking her eyes in surprise. “But… why?” She prodded. I shook my head, looking lost. “I really have no idea why.” She smiled, a crooked one, before tucking a loose bang behind her ears and stretching her hands towards me. I stared at her, wondering if she would hypnotize me into revealing the main truth if I grabbed those hands. Finally, I touched it in a dazed manner and struggled to remain connected with my subconscious. My wolf shrunk back as Aubrey squeezed my hand in hers. “You’re a strong woman, Emily. There is no decision that you take at this point that Armon wouldn’t respect, you know, right?” I nodded, staring at her like a scared little girl. “Tell him…” Her voice trailed off in a sharp whisper.
