Emily's POV
"Who's there?" I called out in a voice that betrayed my emotions.
But it was silence that met me, the kind that enables you to hear the loud thump of your heart.
I looked at Rosy again and nervously pulled at the hem of my nightdress. If I leave her here, it might come to her. If I go there, I can figure out if it's the demon or just a malfunction of some equipment.
I decided to choose the latter, telling myself that I can easily turn back and run to Rosy if anything happens. I took quiet steps to the restroom, hoping that whatever is there does not suspect that I would come. That was silly of me, of course, because it is not human. Even werewolves can scent the presence of another wolf.
