Vlad’s P.o.V.
The day had finally come, our wedding day, and I couldn’t have been happier. Watching Jack come down the aisle in a white suit with a blue tie, holding our twins in his arms, both dressed in white, was the most beautiful sight to behold. Our white haired daughter, Caia, held a basket of flower petals in her tiny hands, blinking dark magenta eyes at us. While our dark haired son, Isra, held a small pillow in one hand while chewing on one of the rings with his others, his deep blue eyes heavy lidded as he ignored the world around him. Jack himself was beaming, tears of joy sparking in his ice blue eyes as he finally stepped up at my side, handing me our son as we turned to North, our ‘priest’ for the evening. Cradling our son in my arms, I looked at Jack as North finally told us we could speak our vows. I had spent hours memorizing the vows I had written, but in this moment, looking at him with our children in our arms, those words flew out the window as tears welled in my eyes.
“Jack, we’ve been through hell together. I wrote a whole speech for this moment, but we are so much more than speeches. We are love and passion. We fight and care for each other. Just know that I will continue to fight for you. Whether the light of day or the coldest of nights, I will be there at your back, because we are a family, a team, and I love you. Always and forever unto eternity.” I said as the tears spilled down my cheeks, nuzzling into Isra as he cooed quietly. I looked at Jack and he too had tears falling down his cheeks as he held our daughter close. He cleared his throat, blushing softly as he gazed at me, smiling.
“I spent three hundred years alone, lonely. I thought that I wasn’t lonely anymore when I became a Guardian and children began to believe in me. But then I met you, Vlad. And you showed me that that was whole other type of loneliness inside me. A loneliness that only your friendship and love could fill. Even as things got hard and I was afraid I lost you, as long as I was at your side, I didn’t feel alone. You saved me, more than you will ever know. You and our children. I will always love you, Vladimir Tod. Forever and always unto eternity.” Jack promised, burying his tear streaked face in Caia’s hair. North smiled boisterously at us.
“Now, for favorite part! Vlad will you take Jack as your husband for the rest of eternity?” The big, jolly man asked the Pravus.
“I will.” I said, reaching out my free hand for Jack’s, blushing as he took it.
“And Jack, will you take Vlad as your husband for the rest of eternity?” North asked the Frost Spirit.
“I will.” Jack exclaimed eagerly, squeezing my hand like a lifeline.
“Then you may kiss each other to seal your union.” North replied, grinning from ear to ear and throwing confetti over us. I blushed and leaned in, kissing Jack softly as those attending the ceremony all cheered us. We drew back, both blushing as we pried the rings out of Isra’s grasp and slid them onto each other’s fingers. Holding hands and our children, we walked back down the aisle together to begin our eternity together.
