Everything led to this moment.
The battlefield was chaos, a blur of blood and shadow, fire and fury. The Abyss Wolf loomed above us, its half-formed body writhing, barely restrained by Kane’s incantation. The sky churned, the unnatural Blood Moon casting an eerie glow over the c*****e. My lungs burned, my limbs ached, but none of it mattered.
Because I finally understood.
I was never just a warrior. Never just a daughter, a mother, a mate. I was the Moonborn.
The one meant to end this.
The Hollow Fang prophecy had spoken in riddles, warning of destruction, of sacrifice. But it was never about destruction—it was about sealing. I wasn’t meant to kill the Abyss Wolf.
I was meant to bind it.
A monstrous roar shattered my thoughts as one of the beast’s tendrils lashed out.
