Zach POV
John, the pack doctor, is on standby for when we are ready to come in for the appointment; I am soon the pack's Alpha, so I can bend the rules. I won't make Aimee do anything she doesn't want or pressure her into something. The only time I'd make her do something is when it's for her own good. I look at my mate, who is sleeping on the sofa; I shouldn't have remarked her like a ferocious Alpha. I can't explain why but it feels necessary that anyone that comes near my mate sees that she is mine. Only mine. I don't even understand why I have been more protective and possessive of her.
