Alpha Jack walks up to me and looks at me with a glint of joy and recognition in his eyes. Yes, it has been a few years since we last met.
Jack: "Good to see you again, Chris. Has it been two years or more since the last Alpha meeting you attended?"
Chris: "Yes, two years ago. I've been busy with wars and petty squabbles since then. But since your phones seem to be out of order, I had to come all the way cross country!"
* laughing to the point that my stomach aches*
Jack looks hurt and very confused. I then look over to Zach, who is laughing and shaking his head.
Zach: "Good to finally meet you, Chris. Well, the phone thing, and I was busy rescuing my princess."
We laugh together, and I understand him being protectiv
