December 1994. It's the Christmas season! and you know what it means it is the happiest time of the year. Unfortunately, for a couple who has been trying to make a baby but kept failing, every year isn't the happiest for them. Their families are scared that they won't have a child at all to carry their family line but the married couple is on the verge to give up on making one and just grow old with just the two of them. However, even with the mindset that they know they won't get a child anymore, they are still trying because you know they say that miracles are always around the corner. They didn't know though that the woman was pressured to give birth for her family, she thought that she would become a disgrace if she didn't give birth at all. She prayed and prayed, hoping that her wishes to come true. One day, their wish finally came true. The woman "Joevienne" got pregnant and expecting a female child. Everyone celebrated that finally Joevienne and her husband "Justin" have a child who will carry their family line in the future. The couple thought that this was their miracle which is a child, their happiness but we all know nothing lasts forever. On the other side, Justin's brother "Peter" wasn't happy with the news, he was mad because now that his brother has a child he wouldn't be able to inherit their family's wealth. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2000. 9 months later, Joevienne's water broke, and was rushed to the hospital. Justin was very excited but nervous and worried for his dear wife. The doctors told him that he can come inside the room but he insisted on staying outside because he thought that he might be the one fainting when he sees his wife giving birth to their child. He walked back and forth at the front of the door for hours, worried about his wife. Soon, the doctors came out and then he was stunned, it felt like his world got destroyed completely. Tears started to form on his cheek when the doctors told him the unpleasant news that Joevienne didn't make it. It gave him an upset stomach and wanted to throw up, his loved one had just gone like that. He started feeling guilty that he didn't try to convince his wife to actually stop making a child. However, the baby is alive which should be good but Justin wasn't happy. He shouted and blamed the child for killing his only wife, the one who makes him happy the most. The news of Joevienne's passing away got to her family, they immediately rushed to the hospital as soon they heard it. They were sobbing but Joevienne's father was mad. He went to find Justin and with no hesitation, he punched him in the face. JOEVIENNE'S DAD: I can't believe I let my daughter be with you! We thought you are someone to be trusted with someone like her but this is what you did??? How dare you force my daughter to give birth at this age!! YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER, YOU LUNATIC!! With all this happening, Joevienne's mother had a heart attack. The doctors and security guards rushed to where this was happening to get the mother and tried to stop the dad from punching Justin. Meanwhile, Justin froze. He didn't know what to do and thought that it may be his fault as well for what happened. JUSTIN: But can't you see? It wasn't my fault. It's the baby's fault. The creature killed our Joevienne. THE BABY SHOULDN'T HAVE LIVED!! Joevienne's father didn't care about the baby, he let his anger out on Justin for "killing" Joevienne and for giving his wife a heart attack. He wanted to beat him up until he couldn't get up anymore. Of course, he didn't let Justin see her one more time as his sins were already a lot, he thought. Justin didn't really care for the baby as well and didn't want to waste time so he just got a randomized name for her which is "Gabrielle". The nurses find him odd to just get a randomized name, "does his child have no meaning to him" they thought. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Days later, Joevienne's funeral was held. There was a lot of crying at the funeral but Justin didn't attend her funeral and he knew that her family wouldn't welcome him there. He thought that it would just pain him more plus he had to take care of the baby. Joevienne's family doesn't want anything to do with the child because they thought it will just bring "bad luck" to the whole family. They got convinced by Justin when he said that it was the baby that killed her, so they didn't want anything that involves the child. Justin didn't like the thought of raising the child who "killed" his only wife, he was supposed to put the baby in the adoption center but didn't get to do so because it was too far from home and he didn't want to hassle traveling that far. After everything, Justin decided to quit his job. There was no reason for him to continue working in his company so he thought to make Peter the CEO instead. Justin received calls from his parents telling him that it was such a stupid idea to quit, especially giving the company to his one and only young brother. They were angry at him for his decision and then he received a call from his father, "I shouldn't have let you marry those idiotic Joevienne, I thought her family would partner up with your business but what is this?! They suddenly just out you like that. I'm telling you this decision of yours is most likely to put both of you in those rags' clothes!" He didn't listen to his parents and continued with his decision. He just stayed home depressed living with the baby. He no longer has a family to help him be happy or help take care of the baby except Peter, his young brother, but little did he know that Peter is also not happy with the baby as well and still wanted more of what he has. Justin and Peter, grew up very distant. Their parents favor Justin more than Peter because of his intelligence, they thought he would be the one to make the family the most successful. It was the opposite for Peter, they just raised him but didn't care about him at all, especially with those low grades he had in school and they wouldn't even share their wealth with him. He was the disappointment of the family. However, despite the mistreatment he had, Justin was there for him. He was the acting father of Peter, but Peter was full of greed and jealousy so he started to ignore Justin and pretend he wasn't there, he became distant from him. Until now, Peter hated his guts. He was happy when he found out he couldn't make a baby but when Gabrielle was born, he was outraged. Though, when he found out Joevienne died, he was happy than ever, but he doesn't know that Gabrielle is alive. Being the C.E.O. wasn't enough for him for all those years, he want everything that Justin have. So, he decided to finally do something and make Justin's wealth his. THE END.
