Chapter One
The journey to find her soulmate started early in life for Helena Andrews, as she met her first and only love Scott Haven during high school. Top of their class, prom King and Queen. The two souls were the envy and idol of their small town. Helena had one dream and that was to marry Scott Haven, own a home of their own, and settle in and start a family. Rightfully so the two got married right after graduation, starting life in unity. Although getting married in a run-down courtroom was never the dream, Helena and Scott made the most of the little they had. Helena landed a job at the local law firm as an admin clerk and Scott was offered an internship at the town's most elite business park. They rented a modest apartment and lived happily as their love only continued blossoming. At the age of 25, Scott successfully started his own automobile company. Scott could charm an Eskimo into buying ice, it was like second nature to Scott when it came to buying and selling cars. Soon Scott had saved just enough to grant his wife her dream of buying a home of their own. Scott hurried home early one afternoon to surprise his beautiful wife. Did I mention she was beautiful? Words did her no justice. She was 1.75 m tall, with long toned legs, soft sun-kissed skin, large round breasts, and curves in all the right places. Her face though was what stole Scott's heart. Raven hair flowing gently over her shoulders, long lashes protecting emerald green eyes, thick pouty lips with a soft dimple on each side of her smile. She was a vision of water during a drought. Scott on the other hand was made in the image of his father. Standing at 1.8 m tall, a lean and hard-muscled body sculpted by the heavens. Delicious caramel skin coated the masterpiece. Scott had soft brown hair, well groomed and styled. Silky stubble danced against the creamy caramel of his strong jaw. Soft kissable lips and hazel eyes further blessed him with unearthly good looks. However, Scott and Helena remained faithful and honest, thus making Scott do everything in his power to give his dearest Helena the moon and the stars. Scott had one hour before Helena was due home. He lit scented candles leaving the tiny apartment smelling like sweet cinnamon. Helena loved cinnamon. He then left a trail of little sticky notes leading from the front door straight into the bedroom. On the sticky notes were memories, dreams, confessions of love, goals, all that he could think of next was to retrieve the roses he had bought on the way home. With little time left Scott jumped into the shower and got dressed in a suit. Helena got home, surprised to see Scott's car in the driveway. Helena climbed the stairs to her apartment in haste, curious as to why Scott was home so early. Opening the door to her apartment she was hugged by the delectable aroma of cinnamon. Smiling, she caught a glimpse of the sticky notes. This man had her melting all over again. The love that she had felt from the very beginning had simply grown. As she followed the sticky notes toward the room, the last one read “Home is where the heart is”. A small laugh escaped her lips, “Cheesy, even for him.” She said. Entering the room she was greeted by the man of her dreams, handing her the roses he smiled. “Take a shower and get dressed. We're going on an adventure.” Scott said still smiling sweetly. Not one to question Scott, she did exactly that. Soon they headed hand in hand towards the car. Scott opened the car door for his wife and followed suit to start the journey. Taking in his wife's beauty one last time before hitting the road. Helena of course asked many questions as to where they were going, but Scott kept giving her that sweet knowing smile... All too soon they were in a well-manicured, middle-class area. Confused, Helena looked to Scott again for answers. Scott simply stopped the car, gave her thigh a little squeeze, and said, “We're here.” Scott opened his door and hurried out to open his wife's door. Taking Helena's hand, he led her towards the house. It was a modern two-story house with a big yard, spacious porch, and so much potential to be great. Helena squeezed Scott's hand in anticipation. Wondering, who lived here? She asked inwardly as they reached the porch, Scott brought his wife's hand up to his lips, kissing each knuckle. “Well? What do you say I asked the owner to give us the grand tour?” Helena had this ridiculous expression on her face and simply managed to giggle. “ And what makes you think they'd want to give two strangers a tour of their lovely home?” Helena asked. After a long moment of gazing lovingly at his wife, Scott produced the keys from his pocket and held them out to his wife. “You wouldn't want to give your husband a tour of our new house? Ouch! That hurts my feelings.” Scott further teased. Helena froze, processing the information. Suddenly tears filled her eyes, her heart overjoyed. She leaped into Scott's arms, giving him a long loving kiss. Grabbing the keys with an impish smile she unlocked the door and grabbed Scott's hand. “Come on, or you'll miss the tour!” Was Helena's warm response. She laughed as she dragged him through the door. An hour of touring the house elapsed, and they ended up lying on the living room floor. Though the house was bare, their hearts were full. Caressing his wife's cheek Scott whispered. “Let the journey begin.” That night they made sweet love in almost every room. Two months passed, they were fully settled into their new home. With all the excitement Helena didn't even notice her body changing and the absence of her cycle... all too soon she would.
