Chapter: TWO

I swear I just literally just melted into a giant puddle right where I stood. I happen to notice Kim and Toni are deep in conversation with this man's two friends, laughing and I swear Toni just winked at me. Oh lord, what are these girls up to? I managed to pull myself together to finish the game. "Your one hell of a pool player love!" Oh my gosh! I melted once again. Thankfully, I got it together once again. "Thanks, you are pretty good as well." I said as I felt my neck and face start to heat up from the on-coming blush. Rick just smiled and winked. UGH! Damn this shyness that I have never had any issues with before.

"WOOOOOOO!!!" I turned around to see the newly formed friends of mine and Rick all smiling like crazy, staring at us. I just stick my tongue out at them and roll my eyes while Mr Rick here just laughs. "I would love to see you again sometime, mum, I'm sorry, but you haven't told me your name love." Rick says, showing me his bright beautiful smile. I guess my lips and mouth stopped working because I just stood there like a complete weirdo with my mouth open and no sound or words came out. 'Oh just great, Now I've gone mute!' I thought to myself just as Kim and Toni finally came up beside me. "Her name is Ashley, but we just call her Ash." Kim says while both her and Toni look at me with small loving smiles.

"That's a beautiful name, just as beautiful as you love." He says as he grabs a napkin from a nearby table and a pen to write down something. "Here you go, this is my cell number. You can call and text me at any time, day or night. I would love to get to know you more." Rick says as he hands me the napkin. I finally snapped out of whatever I was in and smiled up at him. "I think that is a perfect idea." I said, then we said bye to one another and then went our separate ways.

(Ricks POV)

I am the soon-to-be Alpha of one of the very few Lycan packs left here in North America. The Mountain Forest Pack. We are located in the deep wilderness of the very beautiful state of Tennassee. Our current Alpha, Alpha Ken Morris, who is also my father, will be passing his title on to me in a few months so that he can finally retire and spend as much time as he can with his mate, our Luna, and also my mother, Luna Katty. As of right now, I am on my way to meet up with my two best friends, who are also my soon-to-be Beta and Gamma, for an evening out to have a few drinks and dinner and play a few games of pool. We have been very busy working on my mother's barn, adding a few horse stalls so that she can have a couple of horses.

Once I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that the guys weren't there yet, so I just waited in my truck till they showed up. While waiting, I could feel my Lycan, Max pacing around in the back of my mind. "Dude!! What is going on with you?" I asked. "Something is going to happen, I just have a feeling." He said while still pacing around. "What do you mean by that? Should I be worried?" I said and felt him shake his head. "No, it's more like a happy, excited feeling." I just nodded my head. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the guys finally pulled into the parking lot. They are usually always late for just about everything because they both take forever to get ready. They are just as bad as the females at times. "Damn them pretty boys!" Max huffs with a sigh. I just mentally rolled my eyes because Max was actually right about that.

"About damn time you two showed up!" I yelled out as I got out of my truck. Nate just shakes his head while Chris rolls his eyes, then he says with his most annoying fan girl voice he could possibly do. "Well you know we have to look our best to look as sexy as you handsome!" I just smack him on the back of his head and laugh. We order our food and drinks then head on over to the game room. Suddenly, I was hit in the face with the most intoxicating scent that I have ever smelled in my whole life. I elbowed Chris, "What is that amazing smell?" I asked as I was sniffing the surrounding air, and I'm pretty sure I looked like a complete weirdo doing so.

"I smell food, man. What else would we be smelling?" He says with a raised eyebrow. "It's not food ya damn s**t head! Its more of a lavender mixed with fresh rainfall." Max starts running around, jumping and yelling something, but I don't pay any attention to him. I opened the door to the game room and that same wonderful scent got a hundred times stronger. All of a sudden, my eyes locked on to a pair of beautiful hazel blue eyes that belonged to the most amazingly beautiful woman that I had ever seen in my whole entire life, well other than my mother. "MATE! MATE! MATE! Go to mate NOW!" Max yells out in my head and, of course, he is prancing around like he had lost his damn mind. I just stood there, not moving. "Umm are you just going to stand here and watch her?" Max huffs at me.

I can feel the guys trying to get through the wall to link me, but I am so lost in my mate's beautiful eyes. "Dude! You're drooling, pull yourself together man!" Chris said once he was finally able to get through. I just roll my eyes and he laughs. I composed myself well enough to walk over to where she was setting up a game of pool. She froze when she turned around, and I was standing right in front of her, so I reached around her to grab a pool stick to make the first break shot. I can hear and almost feel her heart beat racing in her chest as she watches my every move. Unfortunately, I didn't get any shots in, so I stepped back to give her space for her turn. I decided to make small talk and went to introduce myself to her, but she ended up missing her shot (OOPS). We made it through the rest of the game with no other setbacks and then I spoke again. All the while, Max is just prancing around trying to show off, even though no one can see how silly he is acting. I just mentally shake my head and laugh.
