PROLOGUE

Addey Crone, a 27 year old who flew to Europe after trying to move on from her heartbreaking and challenging life for the past three years.

Hoping to forget everything as she leaves her home country.

She risked everything, her job as an executive assistant, the good life she has and not seeing her friends and family just to start a new life.

For Addey, everything was pointless. She wakes up every morning, goes to work, eats and goes home and sleeps. It's all about paying her bills. She's optimistic, introvert and holds a strong personality. Some people find it difficult to approach her as she does not smile at anyone if it won't benefit her.

She imagined her life in Europe as a not-so-happy, contented single woman with enough income to sustain her needs.

Changed her career from the corporate world to the academic world.

She was hired as a teaching assistant in the biggest, one of the prestigious international schools in Europe.

Everything was just fine until she met someone who she never thought would make her feel something she never wanted to feel anymore.

She promised herself to never fall in love with someone younger than her.

Patricia Isabel "Pai" Silva, 24 years old. Newly hired as a teaching assistant. Unlike Addey, she likes smiling and greeting people, loud and cheerful.

Addey was avoiding Pai as much as possible as she annoys her every single day. Pai's loud voice, smiling face, sweet scent and presence makes Addey roll her eyes. Until one day, they were assigned to pair with each other for 6 months for a school show preparation.

Addey fell in love with her annoying young co-worker, Pai Silva.

How would Addey handle a feeling she never wanted to feel again. Nevertheless, for someone she never imagined being romantic with.

Episode One: Music Room
"Miss Crone, you are informed that this coming Fall Term you will be designated to decorate the stage in the music room, right?" Mrs. Waters, Addey's head, is a 55-year-old widow from Scotland with a very thick accent that sometimes she couldn't understand. Curly black hair that sits perfectly on her shoulders. 5 feet and 9 inches tall with a fine curve despite her age. Mrs. Waters is a kind mother figure but dead serious about her job. When Addey was being interviewed by Mrs. Waters, she still wasn't sure about the job. Teaching was never her dream, although it runs in the blood. All her cousins on her father's side are licensed teachers, but not her nor her siblings. They took different paths as they finished to different degrees. (Five year's ago. Addey's Interview) "So, you are a Mass Communication graduate. Executive Assistant in your recent job. Why Teaching Assistant Miss Crone? Mrs. Waters was staring at Addey's blank face. Her eyes are unreadable yet still hold power with her straight eye contact with Mrs. Waters. "Working with children is indeed arduous. I believe that in order to be successful, children must also seek a strong foundation of education and educators. A good teacher isn't enough, they should be assisted by a motivated, creative, passionate and versatile teaching assistant and I know I am one of those talented teaching assistants. " Addey answered Mrs. Waters' question with confidence and without blinking her eyes. However, Mrs. Waters wasn't convinced by her answer and wanted more. "Is that all, Miss Crone?" asked Mrs. Waters with her brows up. Addey felt that the interviewer wasn't satisfied with her answer and needed to be justified more. As she glanced at the corner of the head teacher's office, Addey saw a frame with the Pastoral Leader and Safeguarding and an idea immediately came up in her mind. "Safeguarding. The most important role of a teacher and a teaching assistant should bear in their mind that safeguarding is the top duty. The safety of children is the biggest concern of parents, and we should show them that their children are safe in our hands as they start their first steps to becoming successful with a big heart and a love for humanity'' ~~~~~~~ Addey was thinking about her interview five years ago with Mrs Waters when someone called her name. Loud and full of energy, Pai Silva herself . "Ms. Addey! I have been looking for you since morning. I am really happy that we are working together for the scho--" "Together? And please do not call me by my first name." Addey immediately cuts Pai with a distaste on her face. Pai was shocked at how Addey reacted. Their colleagues had already warned her about how serious she is at work. They call her ill-tempered, yet her skills, talent and creativeness are the reason why the school never had any issues or problems with Addey. For the past five years, the school has been recognized as one of the best in school shows, let alone because the actors are children. Addey is just a precious gem of the school. "I'm sorry Ms. Crone and, yes, we are working together for the school show. Did Mrs. Waters tell you about it? Is there any problem?'' It was Addey who was appointed as the sole director of their school shows for the past five years since she started working there given her background in theater when she was still in uni, Theater is her forte. With Addey's management, every single show was executed smoothly and praised by the faculty, head office and especially parents. She even receives presents from parents who are proud of their children even though she wasn't responsible for their lines and acting. She was really
