"Everyone keep firing !" Dirt stung amory's eyes as bullets shot at her , shattering her ears . Blood spattered on her face as another soldier fell. Amory's breath was sharp and quick , she could hear screams and wails from dieing soldier's. Her fingers tingled as she rapidly pulled the trigger . mumbled booms shook the ground . g*n powder and smoke stained the air . "Shoot! Come on! " Jack roared . "click , boom! Click boom!" The sound of there guns shook the wind it's self.

And pierced through the air! Dirt fell from inside the trench . "Ba boom!" It was though the air broke as a ineffable sound cracked from a hot machine . "Everyone duck!"

Everyone hit the ground except for Amory. She stared in the dark sky , dismayed . The clouds of smoke swirled in the air as death hide its ugly face . She could hear the wailing of the misle screeching through the sky. Like nails on a chalk bored . Amory heald the tip of her g*n in the sky , the muzzle of her g*n fallowed the sinister wailing. "Amory what are you doing" "Bam!" One free bullet struck out , streaming through the broken sky.

Her eyes flaring as she watched the soaring bullet disappear into the thick smoke.

All the sounds went silent , everyone in the trench held there breath . There eyes guiding through the sky . A rumbling c***k , thundered bringing an explosion of fire .

"Amory's one bullet had saved them ."

The battle was over , smoke and g*n powder still stained the air. Now with the ghastly smell of rotting flesh.

"Amory you were heavy out there ." Amory turned around to see Jack .

Amory didn't know what to say.

Amazing? She wasn't , Amory didn't believe for a second . "It wasn't that much , I just did my part Jack . " He frowed . Amory reminded Jack of himself . Never wanting to take credit or get graduated . His lips quivered with his tongue resting on a word . "Sorry." Amory spoke out , there eyes ment each other . They both slightly smiled .

The day went by fast , they all marched out of the trenches. Hiking through through the thick disasteris forest . Amory eyes gazed upon birds as they fluttered there wings out and flew. Amory wanted more than ever to fly. Let the wind drift under her wings with the wind brushing against her face. All was food until they got to base camp. As soldier's were getting treated , letters were passed out . One by one, Amory didn't care not get one . Jack did but Amory watched as he threw it down into the mud. As his boots sweeped by the letter , Amory picked it up. The letter had flower's were doodled on the sides . Amory tranced her finger tips across the letter as she read it .

"dear daddy, we miss you . I pray for you every night . So does Ashley and melody. We love you very much . I really really miss you.

I hope you write back I love to hear your stories. I know you do to , Ashley got into the state champs ,like you wanted her to. We all cheered as she dunked the winning hoop.

I got accepted into a really amazing dance concert . Its called (Wish me luck) .

And melody got to sing solo. ..I hope you right back to us ..please .
