Oh, dear Lord—please let me walk. Let me walk—I need to go home now!
I need to endure this unbearable pain as I coaxed myself to walk out the room. All my hopes and strength were taken from these hard walls. Paika-ika akong naglakad ng maingat kahit hindi ko masyadong maiapak an gang kaliwang paa sa semento. I was walking intoretably tip-toed and totally barefoot. Tanging isang maluwag na t-shirt lamang ang suot ko ngayon maliban sa undies ko—wala na. I checked ever corner inside the room before I leave but I haven’t seen my clothes. Even my shoes weren’t there, too.
My heart pound faster everytime I heard his devious laugh within my thoughts—so alarming! Hindi ko alam kung sino siya pero ayaw ko ng alamin pa—he’s someone who has a dark and tainted soul. I can see that all over his façade physique! Kaya takot na takot sa kanya sina nanay Belen at tatay Lucas—he’s a beast within hinding in a body of a handsome prince! Umalis ito sa kwarto kanina habang may tinatawagan—at hindi pa rin tumitigil sa pagtawa ng malakas.
He’s insane that’s why he had to live here—away from everyone!
Paano nga pala ako baba sa bundok nang gan’tong histura at suot? At this hour? Napatingin ako sa malaking relo—it’s alreadt past three in the morning, oh dear.. Paano na ‘to? Pero feeling ko hindi rin naman ako maaarawan dito kung hindi pa ako kikilos ngayon!
Dahan-dahan akong bumaba ng hagdan ramdam ang bawat kirot at hapdi ng mga sugat ko. If he was a good Samaritan, he would have called a doctor and attend my wounds—but he did not! Kung gaano kaganda ang kanyang panlabas na anyo ay ganun naman kasama sa loob nito—who is that evil man?
“Early bird riser, aren’t you?”
Jesus Christ! I froze hearing him uttered without preamble. I glanced straight at the man who was comfortably seating at the black sofa holding a wine glass at the other hand with his crossed feet that triggered me the most.d Nakasuot na siya ngayon ng isang plain black-fitted t-shirt and obviously worn-out jeans. I widened my eyes and couldn’t move even I had to—I just left frozenly cold watching the devious man firing his soft flames at me. I gathered my strength—damn it, I need to act as a daughter of Ysla Ortega Ademar and Blaire Ademar once and for all!
If he didn’t know me at all—then I would be glad to introduce myself to him and so he’d be acquainted by the word ‘respect’!
“Thank you for your hospitality, Mr—I owe you a lot, you know. Hindi mo naman siguro mamasamain—aalis na pala ako and yes, I’m an early bird riser.”
Kahit bakas sa mukha ko ang kirot dala ng pagpilit kong makalakad at ininda ko ang sakit hanggang sa makaabot ako sa malaking pintoan. Feeling the scorching stare burning at my back from the man I felt now was walking towards me. Kinabahan ako—he’s too damn dangerous! Katulad iyon ng nararamadam ko sa tuwing magagalit si papa Blaire o ang mga lalake kong kapatid. But this was more intense and seemed unforgivable!
“I haven’t done anything yet, princess—but if you insist to go home, let me open the door for you.” He then stepped forward, emotionless. No registered clues on his being—I couldn’t read ahead his move. He’s one of a hell unpredictable man!
I leaned on the wall when his huge body blocked my way and opened the huge door for me—it then slided open! I instantly felt the cold wind that loomed straight to my face and down to by body that instantly shivered as the bare coldness covered my system. Maliban doon—tanging nakakatakot na dilim ang nakikita ko ngayon. Kasing dilim ng pagkatao ng taong nakatingin sa’kin at hinintay ang reaksyon ko!
What is he implying here?
Pero dagli ko ring naramdaman ang pagkirot ng mga sugat ko dala na rin sa matinding lamig ng simoy ng hangin na galing sa labas—I lost my leg’s strength and immediately melted down. Napaluhod ako at sobrang sakit ng mga sugat ko—dios ko.
“N-Nasaan ang b-bag ko—I need to r-reach a call, my phone’s there—“
I couldn’t help but stammered as I said it without taking a glance at him but I was way too startled when I was being lifted on air—with his arms circled on me! What the--!
“I-Ibaba mo ako. I-I can walk!”
I said after I was taken aback from his surprising stunt that flutters my stomach in gradual motion.
S-Saan niya ba ako dadalhin?!
Nakahawak lang ako ngayon sa batok niya—oo, kahit ayoko! Hindi ko pa rin siya tinitingnan at nakayuko ako ngayon habang para akong nakasakay sa duyan—hay, Dios ko naman, oo. I need to go home yet I’m still here with this unpredictable beast I have known!
“Shut up or else I’ll put you down in this instant.” Ano raw? Grr! Gusto kong pilipitin ang leeg niya ngayon pero wala akong magawa dahil kung gagawin ko yun—siguradong masasaktan lang ako dahil unang-una akong mahuhulog!
When I have enough strength—humanda ka sa’kin!
Padabog niya akong ibinababa sa perehong kama na iniukupa ko kanina at sa buong maghapon. Naiinis siya sa’kin—no, he’s mad at me without a probable cause! Tumalikod siya sa’kin saka tumungo sa comfort room—naniningkit ang mga mata ko habang sinundan ang bawat galaw niya.
“Why are you like this, Mr. Beast? I mean, do you know me—or did we meet before? May ginawa ba ako sa’yong masama noon? You know, most people here in Pah knew my family—“
“I f****** knew who you are so shut the f*** up. I don’t like stories that totally pissed me especially if it came from you.”
His deafening voice jammed my eardrum—and I loathe him even more when he cursed my family like that! Ano bang problema niya, huh? May kasalanan ba ang pamilya ko sa kanya? Padarag siyang umupo sa tabi ko sabay kuha sa kaliwang braso ko—sh**, ano bang ginagawa niya!?
Saka ko lang napansin ang isang kompletong medical box sa tabi nito—tinanggal niya ang benda na nilagay ni nanay Belen at sinipat ang sugat ko dun. Obviously, he doesn’t like me and my family but he still tried to be human, you know. Kahit, obviously na labag sa kaniyang kalooban! Look at his face—halos mag-isang linya na ang kaniyang makakapal na kilay!
“Don’t just curse me, will you? Pwede bang sabihin mo man lang sa’kin kung ba’t ka nagagalit ng walang dahilan--!?”
I still insisted and clearly he didn’t like it this time—much more this time. I saw how he greeted his teeth and clenched his jaw. He paused from attending my wound and dared to stare at me—with flaming and burning spit of fire. Napalunok ako dahil parang gusto niya akong..patayin sa tingin!
“If I did—you would be dead in certain and I don’t like an easy death, princess. So, shut.the.f***.up—that’s my last warning to you.” He said in the most dangerous tone I’ve heard as a warning. Yes, I’m a hard-headed woman as I’ve been defying my parents rules but now—I was taken aback in certain. I fear for my life at the very least..
He is a beast! My mind screamed as I chose not to rebel his words—atleast, for now.
