"A healer? Are you sure? Maybe you can still try to train the others." Samoa said surprised.
"No! I will train no one! With all due respect for you, I will do nothing related to the soldiers. I can not stand to watch them train, while I am not able to do so."
"I understand! Then it is decided! Tomorrow, you will start to train as a healer. You all may leave now! Invicta! Don't forget to take a uniform!"
I was about to say that I won't when my sister spoke again. "If you don't mind, I will like to give my sister a uniform. The one I made especially for her."
"If she will accept it, I have nothing against that," Samoa replied before he left.
I stood in my place seeing that Calista was coming my way.
"Hi!" She said with a small smile.
"Mmm. Hi!"
"I'm sorry for his I reacted earlier. I wasn't mad at you! I was mad at myself, for not being able to protect you. Besides, I should have thanked you! You saved my life. Thank you, sister!"
"You don't need to thank me, Calista! I failed! I failed as a daughter and as a soldier. Please forgive me! I will train as hard as possible, to become the best soldier, so I can be able to protect all of you! I promise you that!"
"You don't have to promise me anything apart from the fact that you will take care of yourself." She said and hugs me.
I hug her back, feeling more at peace with myself.
"Come on, little sister, let's go home! I have something for you."
When we stepped out of the building, hand in hand, I noticed Zariel and my father waiting for us.
"My daughters! It is so good to see you like that."
I smile at him without saying, anything.
"Well, now I know that you both are alright. So see you tomorrow at 5?" Zariel said with a mischievous smile.
"5? Are you serious?"
"Yeah! We should have enough time to train in both fields and more importantly, time for few breaks. I can't focus when I'm hungry. You should know that by now."
We all start laughing.
"Ok, Zariel! See you well, then!"
"Wait!"My sister shouted after him. " Why don't you come over for dinner?"
"Are you blushing or something?" I asked still laughing, looking at her pink cheeks. One of the most feared soldiers is blushing because of a boy.
"What?! No, I don't! It's just really hot! Isn't it, father?"
My father was smiling like a crazy cat. 'What got him?'
"Mmm. I will like too! Allow me to go change and I'll be there by 9. If that's ok with you."
Zariel said, looking at my sister.
"Perfect! See you well!"
"See you well!"
"What was that about?" I ask her.
"Nothing?"
"Nothing?!" I asked with mischief. "What do you think father?"
"I think I will finally get to have grandchildren!"
I burst laughing while holding my tummy.
"Father!" Calista yell.
"What? Can't a man dream? Plus you are old enough. I was thinking about this for a while now."
I couldn't help it, so I laughed harder.
"Invicta! Shut it!"
"I'm sorry, sister, but you alone started it.
" Wait here!" Calista said to me. We were home now. I nod at her and grabbed one of the chairs.
After few minutes she came back.
"Here! This is for you! Both I and our mother worked to make it." She was a little sad. I could sense it in her voice. Maybe because of the same reason as me. We both wanted our mother to be here with us.
I took the brown box from her and open it. There was a soldier uniform. I quickly took it out, so I can look at it better.
It was made of black and red leather, similar to Calista's but there were some metal pieces around the neck, torso and forearms.
"Do you like it? I wanted to make one identical to mine, but then I thought it would be nice to show more of your personality."
"Like it? Are you kidding me?! I love it! Thank you so much! I can not wait to see what it looks like on me!"
"Then go ahead! Pull it on!" She said looking as excited as me.
I run straight to my room, taking my clothes off. I quickly pull on the uniform and run to the mirror.
I couldn't believe my eyes. It was fitting perfectly. And it was reflected my personality so well. Calista was always the creative one, but this time she surpassed herself.
I run down the stairs to show her and our father my first real uniform.
"It looks much better than I thought! Does it feel like enough?"
"Yes! Thank you so much, Calista!"
"It was my pleasure! And by the way, you shouldn't sweat too much in it."
"I'm not sweating too much usually!"
"Yeah, yeah! I know!" She said chuckling.
A sad sight made us looking in our father direction.
'I forgot he was here.."
"Father? Are you ok?" I ask.
"Yes, yes no worry! You are all grown-up! It just made me emotional. You'll be eighteenth soon, don't you?"
"Yeah! In about five months, one week, six days and three hours."
"Do you always have to count the last six months?" Calista asks amused.
"Well, you know me! I just can't help it! I should go and change back now! Zariel will be here any minute. You should go wash, sister, if you want him to enjoy the food!" I said with a smirk, wiggling my eyebrows.
"Invicta, stop this nonsense! It's not what you think! It's just that he is our friend and he is alone. I thought that maybe he will enjoy some company. You know, like when we were kids and mother always asked him to come for dinner?"
Before I could say anything, the door burst open only to reveal a sweaty and worried Octava.
"General! You need to come quickly! The Sacred Chamber is in flames! There are some casualties!"
