They came at night. The screams woke the camp up but it was too late. There was nothing they could do to save themselves. The lycans attacked with a thirst for blood fueled by rage. They tore through the vampires like paper and the camp was filled with enough gore to last two lifetimes. Amidst the chaos commander Lucien and a few trusted warriors attempted to find princess lucilda, once they realized they were under attack, the only thing that mattered to them again was securing the princess. The search escue party first went to where her tent was located. On getting to where the tent was, they noticed that it looked abandoned, so they deduced that she would have to be in the battle, they were trying to still find the princess when something or rather someone knocked Lucien to his kneels, he got up quickly and faced the challenger head on. Lucilda faults herself for not being able to detect the lycan invasion on time. She had woken up to the sound of her guard choking on his own blood, she jumped out and tried to stop the attack but it was too late. The guard was dead before he hit the floor, lucilda went crazy, what she just witnessed giving her the strength to face the attacker, albeit their height differences. She jumped on him with a cry, making sure she was using her small, lighter frame to beat the big lycan. it wasn't easy but finally the lycan was dead, but around the fight continued with the rest of the vampires and the lycans. she already knew they were not a force to be reckoned with, so she wasn't surprised. she observed some women and children hiding in a room closest to her and went towards them, they were realkyb rightened when they noticed a figure running towards them, the oldest woman among them grabbed the smallest child and clutched him to her chest in prayer. "Hey, hey, it's fine look at me I'm here to help". she tried coaxing them to trust her so she could lead them to safety. the child looked up at the woman in whose arms he was being comforted and asked her if it was okay to trust the lady. "we are going to die isn't it, or turned into slaves by those beasts". The woman started wailing. "no, I promise you no you won't, if it's the last thing I do today,I'm going to help you sneak out of here, do you understand now, do I have your trust. "yes princess" now stand up and follow me. She took custody of the crying baby who was with the woman earlier. There was a path behind the camp which led to a mountain that could be used to provide temporary hiding spots, she showed them the path and made them promise to keep on fighting and not give up. The woman pleaded with lucilda to go along with them and not go back to that hell hole but she refused she told her she couldn't leave her people. After making sure it would be difficult for anyone to go after them just in case, she headed back to the camp, with her sword in hands. on her way back, she felt like she was being watched, she turned and checked properly but still she saw no one, she tried pushing the thought to the back of her mind but she couldn't shake that feeling, she tried watching her back for any sudden movements as she made her way back to the camp. she pushed the thought of being watched aside and moved on. Next thing, she could hear sounds but couldn't quite place them before she was being thrown into the dirt and subdued like a common criminal. "Nice to meet you princess". the man who had captured her taunted her. "I'm very sure our Alpha would be more than pleased to have you." he said laughing
