“Hey Angel, it’s me Sean. I just came to check if you’re fine?” Sean called out and waited patiently.   He tried pressed the bell again and tried calling out for Angel but he still didn’t get any response. He tried a few more times before he started getting worried and was now knocking loudly. “Angel! Please open the door!” He yelled until he started banging on the door. “Damn it Angel!”   Sean might not show it but he deeply care for Angel and had fallen in love with her. Although every time she’s in front of Angel, she doesn’t seem to notice that much. “Angel please, I am begging you! Open the door!” Sean tried once more until he went at the back entrance of the house and broke the door just to get in. He rushed inside the house and searched for any sign of his friend. He checked her bedroom, the bathroom, the lounge until he ended up in the kitchen where he saw Angel lying down on the ground, surrounded by her own blood. “Angel!” He shouted and immediately went beside his friend. “Oh my God, what have you done!”  It was a good thing that Sean was a Doctor, he knows how to take care of Angel. He called 911 and ran back to his house to get his first aid kits and other tools. He placed a blanket to where there was no blood then he picked Angel up and placed her there. He then checked her pulse and started cleaning some parts of her body. He managed to stop the blood from coming out and wrapped them with bandages. He also placed a hot towel on her forehead and from time to time he takes track of her temperature. After about ten minutes, the Ambulance came and took her. Sean stayed beside her and helped the Paramedics to treat Angel. “Hey Angel, I’m not sure if you can hear me but I’m begging you to hold on. I promise that you will be fine and I won’t let anything bad happen to you.” Sean held her hand and placed it near his mouth. “Just hold on okay? You’ll be fine soon.” “My name is Rick, how long has she been unconscious?” One of the Paramedics asked. “I don’t know, I just got from work and decided to check on her and she was already unconscious when I came.” Sean replied. “Had this happened before?” The other Paramedics questioned as he examined Angel’s arms. “This happens at least five times a month, I don’t know what she’s been going through but she’s always depressed.” Sean explained and the Rick nodded. “Her skin is a bit pale, probably from the previous cuts. If this happens again, her life will be put in danger.” Rick stated. “I know…” Sean commented and the other Paramedics introduced himself after he finished looking at Angel’s arms. “My name is Darrell, I will need your details sir.” He got his notebook out. “Almost everyone knows about you. The youngest Doctor in this country who passed every test and manages to get a perfect score. You are actually one of my inspiration, it’s nice meeting you Doctor Sean. The patient will be awake within five minutes time and she will be able to be discharged tomorrow.” Bea explained and Sean thanked her. After five minutes, Sean was allowed to visit Angel and when he got to her room, she was already awake. “Hey, how are you feeling?” He rushed beside her and checked her temperature. Angel ignored him though, she was just staring at the ceiling. Sean tried getting her attention and when she finally noticed him, tears started falling from her eyes. “Why… why did you even saved me?” She cried and Sean didn’t know what to do. After all the years they’ve spent together, this was the first time he saw Angel crying. Even though she tried killing herself so many times she never cried in front of him. He didn’t know what to do because this has never happened before. “Why didn’t you just let me die!” Angel covered her face with her hands and continued crying. Sean did what most people would do, he pulled Angel to his chest and wrapped his arms around her then started stroking her hair. “Shhh, that’s enough. You’re fine now and you’re safe here… with me.” Sean tried comforting her and this is when Angel broke down. She cried like there’s no tomorrow, her wails was heard from the other room but they chose to ignore her. She looked like a very fragile glass that could break if it was not taken care of properly. Sean’s chest was tightening seeing the woman he loved breaks down in front of him and he can’t do anything to make her feel better. "You'll be fine, I'm here for you. I will always be here for you. That's a promise." Sean stated. He never really actually know why Angel would want to end her life, or the pain she’s been through. He knew her for five years but never knew a single information about her life. She was like a complete stranger for him yet he loves her so much.  He already accepted the fact that she only treats him as a friend but he still chose to stay by her side. He was all she had anyway, the only friend that was always there for her and care for her. Her workmates never really tried knowing her because they envied her. Her boss only needs her for songs and her other neighbors gave up on her.
