Episode Twenty One

“Shane!” Phinks called out and Shane immediately figured out what he was planning so he ran towards Phinks.

When Shane went past Phinks, Phinks put out his legs to trip Lucifer. Out of the blue, Lucifer fell towards Angel who suddenly went in their way to stop him from chasing Shane. Everything happened so fast that Lucifer didn’t manage to stop himself because he was going too fast. 

As they fall down to the ground, Lucifer manages to grab Angel’s waist and turned the two of them around, making Angel fall on top of him so she won’t get hurt from the impact. Angel’s hair fell like a curtain around Lucifer and they both stared at each other’s eyes.

Heart beating so loud and fast, Lucifer already figured out that what he was feeling was love. But to Angel, it was a new feeling for her. Yes she was in a relationship before but she never really felt her heart pounding or the butterflies in her stomach. Her old feelings was returning yet she doesn’t know that she felt it before.

“Score ten out of ten, bull’s eye.” Shane said while fist-bumping Phinks.

“You said it bro.” Phinks smiled and continued watching the scene in front of them.

At that moment, Sean understood what was happening. Angel was the special girl that Lucifer was talking about but he didn’t mention it because he thought that he still had a chance on her. Since Angel didn’t remembered Lucifer, he still believes that he can at least steal her away from him.

“Are you okay?” Lucifer asked, trying to hide his pain.

“I-I should be asking you that.” Angel answered while standing up and offering a hand, which Lucifer took.

They both stood there in awkward silence, trying to process what just happened.

‘What was that just now? Why did I feel that way? Do I… no, I can’t be. I barely even know him and he has… a special someone…’ Thought Angel as she tried to calm down her heart.

“Hey guys, I have another game. It’s called Seven minutes in heaven and I volunteer the two of you.” Shane suggested while opening the cabinet and forcing Angel and Lucifer inside the cabinet.

“But-” Angel tried complaining but Shane already closed the door on her face.

“Why the two of them, shouldn’t it be picking up a name in a jar?” Sean questioned and Shane smirked.

“There is no picking up a name in a jar when it comes to the person you loved the most.” Shane pointed out and Sean gave him a confused look.

Meanwhile, Angel curled up in a ball as she still figures out what she just felt. On the other hand, Lucifer couldn’t stop his heart from pounding as he thought about how close Angel’s face to the moment where they almost kissed.

“Umm…” Lucifer trailed off and tried thinking of something to say.

They only have seven minutes anyway and he wanted to make the most of it.

“About earlier, I really didn't mean to touch your… you know…” Lucifer awkwardly said and Angel nodded.

“It’s okay, I understand. I’m also sorry for accusing you without hearing your explanation.” Angel said and then they started having a normal conversation. “So tell me about this special someone of yours.”

“Well, she’s very stubborn, like you. A very strong woman, like you who would defend her friends whenever they’re in danger…” The conversation went on until the seven minutes was up.

Angel learnt a lot about the special girl that Lucifer was talking about and pretty much Lucifer compared her to Angel. When Shane opened the door, Lucifer frowned because he wanted more time with Angel. It was the first time that Lucifer opened up to Angel and Angel enjoyed their time from that moment. It’s like none of them wanted the time to stop but it still did.

“Let’s sing Karaoke shall we?” Shane gave Lucifer a mischievous smile, that tells him that he was up to something not good again.

“Why don’t you start us off Madam.” Shane gave the microphone to Angel and Angel shook her head.

“No no no, I’m not a really good singer.” Angel objected but Shane forced her to take the mic.

“Oh come on, you sounds like an Angel. Even Lucifer was always amazed when you sing in front of him.” Shane wiggled his eyebrows and Angel looked at Lucifer.

“But he hasn’t heard me sing yet.” Angel pointed out and Shane put on a song.

“Trust me, his favourite voice was yours. Or more like you have the same voice as his special someone.” Shane winked and Angel felt sad because somehow, she wanted to be Lucifer’s special someone.

‘Oh come on Angel, don’t even think about it. He already loves someone else and that someone else is not you. Get that through your head’ Angel thought as the intro of the song played.

It was one of the songs that she wrote for the Twilight movie. Although Shane made the song into a duet and gave the other mic to Lucifer.

“No, I don’t sing.” Lucifer pointed out and Shane laughed.

“You two would really make a perfect couple, you already have something in common.” Shane commented making Angel and Lucifer blushed.

Lucifer gave him the look of ‘I will kill you when I have the chance’ but Shane just stuck his tongue out.

"Trust me, the two of you will be a perfect duet. Just try it and follow the instruction on who's going to sing. I've tried it before with Phinks so I think it will turn out fine for the two of you. Besides..." Shane placed a hand on Lucifer's shoulder then grinned. "You were the perfect two. Right?" 

"Perfect two? What do you mean by that?" Angel questioned and Shane winked at her.

"You see madam, you don't know everything about his special someone yet but she is also a composer like you and she wrote a song about the two of them, which was the very first song she wrote. You should hear it one day." Shane replied and Angel nodded.
