‘SEDUCTION’

Helena strolls around the library finding something interesting to read.Since she’s allowed,she doesn’t fear of anyone meeting her here.Apart from the flowers she loved,she is also fond of books.

She couldn’t take it anymore,being alone in the room without doing nothing so she decided to find something fun to read.

As she keeps handpicking,her right hand landed on a certain book which caught her attention.It was the color of the front page which attracted her at first but the real reason she becomes more interested is because of its boldly written title ‘SEDUCTION’.

She cautioned herself on why she would be interested in a book full of ‘dirty talks’ but she couldn’t help her curiosity.

Wanting no one to find out,she placed it beneath her left shoulder,squeezing tightly to her armpit.

Unluckily for her,she bumps into someone with her carelessness.

“I___”Helena wanted to apologize but when she got face to face with Edward,she kept mute.She doesn’t even realize she had lost the book she had wanted to hide.

“I came to__hmm__look around..I”

“I never asked”Edward caught her stammering off.She moves back,away from him.She courtesy and then begins to walk away from him.

“Isn’t this what you came looking for”Edward bends to retrieve the book that was laying on the floor,he raised it so she could see.Helena turns back and then finally realized she had dropped the book when she had bumped into him.She was clueless of what to say so she kept mute,staring at him.

“I thought you needed it,might I just return it where it belongs”Edward said and walk exactly to the lane where Helena had taken the books.

“You must be wondering how I knew where you took it,well__everyone has his own desires”Edward said.He begins to take steps closer to where Helena stood like a statue.

When he came closer enough to feel her breaths on his skin,he stops.He lays his hand on her hair,playing with the strands.She was shocked with his touch,she felt like what Alice had told her about was going to happen right away.

“You are innocent”Edward said,lowering his hand from her hair to her forehead,then her cheeks,suddenly he brought up her chin so she could be facing him.

“Have you ever touch yourself down there”He begins to softly caress her lips,forcing himself not to lay his lips on hers already.

“You haven’t__have you,I can do that for you”He said softly and then lowers his chin to hers,each sharing the same breath.

He caresses her exposed bosom,wanting to untie her corset.Then,she came into her right senses.She jacks away from him,leaving a decent space between them.

“Sir Donald had done better,you needn’t read it anymore,have acted most of the parts”Edward said and turns to walk away from her to search for what he had come in to the library to check.

Edward begins to search around for the book he came looking for and he notices his wife still stood there,glaring at him.

“If you want to know what Sir Donald had actually do,here you go”He points for her to come take the book she had taken before.Helena was angry,she couldn’t believe her husband could have tricked her to giving in to him so he could have his fun.

She said both but turned away to leave.

Edward smiles as she left the room.He knew the memories of what had occurred between them earlier will keep on popping into his wife’s brain.He finds joy in tormenting her.

Helena slams the door of her room.She heaves out a sigh of relief.She touches her lips,flashing back on the lustful scene.

She remembers what he had said to her about touching herself.She found it disgusting and would rather not think about it.

It was evening already so dinner was been made.Helena hadn’t gone out ever since her encounter with her husband.She doesn’t want to come face to face with him again but she knew it can’t be possible.She’s so nervous to be in the same space with because she wouldn’t get to get over the scene alone with him.

Helena heard the door knock on her room.It was Iris,she came to instruct her that dinner had been served.Helena wanted to ask if Edward will be present on the dinner table but she kept shut,she wouldn’t want Iris to think anything.

When she got to the table,Edward wasn’t there.Only Mrs Dougenis and Iris’s daughter,Agnes were seated.

“The Lord is busy,he wants his meal served in his study”Mrs Dougenis said to Iris who had just started dishing out Helena’s meal.

‘Dinner wasn’t awkward at least,without Edward though’Helena thought.

She retired to her room after dinner and then begins to stare at the ceiling.There’s nothing for her to do,no one for her to talk to.She’s just alone in the quiet house.

After hours of staring at nothing in particular,she drifts to sleep.

Edward rubs his palm on his face as he woke up from his slumber.He is upset because he will see his stepbrother’s face today and also,his beloved childhood lover.His stepbrother had written a letter to congratulate him on his wedding and then told him of the day he was going to visit him and his new bride.

He stands up and then moves to the window.There was no good view to see because it’s a secluded area.

He heard a knock on his door.He knew it was Iris so he bothered not to look back when she opens the door.Iris had been the one looking after him since he was a baby.Though Iris was young,she had been his maid for twenty seven years now so he has a soft spot for her.

“Has she waken”Edward has always asked Iris about everything for Helena.He gets to know and study her more with that.

“She had been dressed”Iris responds from the bathroom,she was preparing his bath.

“Have you informed her of the occasion”Edward turns away from the window.He goes to where Iris was preparing his bath.

“I did which she had replied with a lot of questions”Iris smiles.She stands up so she could undress Edward who had gotten used to being undressed by Iris even though they were opposite sexes.

“I will do it myself”Edward said out of the blue.

“But__”Iris hesitates but Edward cuts her off.

“I learned Iris”Edward smiles warmly at her.A memory flashed in his mind.He remembers a stormy night,when he had heard a cry from the cottage.He took pity on Iris every time the memories flashed into his mind.

If only he was bold enough to stop his stepbrother and his friends before they had done to worst.

Edward gets into the wooden bathtub and buries his whole body in the water.

Another memory of him drowning flashed in his mind making him arose from the water.

He cleared his face with his palm.

He knew why he’s recalling every sad things he had faced in his childhood.

It was because he is going to meet his childhood nightmare again.
