A day to remember

Helena studied her environment.Her lashes constantly batting around the open hall.Every workers are busy attending to the victims of a water pollution.Helena had heard Mr Albert talk to Edward about the recent disease spreading in the town due to a poor water supply.

Edward had introduced her as his wife to the man.The man is careful not to upset Edward so he bother not ask him the reason he would bring his wife to work.

Edward had left her alone in the hall,attending to the victims.She didn’t think of running off to where she had the intention of going to because she felt pity for the patients,if only she could help them could she feel useful.She’s lost in her thoughts that she couldn’t notice the presence of the blue eyed behind her.

“They will survive princess,you need not feel guilty”Helena turned to face Richard who greeted her with a warm smile.

“Edward must be here already since you are here,I bet you remember who I am,though I never visited after the little ties”Richard said.Helena could only blink,his aura making her feel the unusual to a man.If only her father had chosen right or perhaps she met Richard earlier.

Since Helena wouldn’t say a word,Richard decides to fill in the silence.

“He must be so insecure of his beautiful bride alone to must have bring you here,I guess he loves after all,who wouldn’t”his words melts her solid heart.

“Don’t misunderstand sire,I had told him to bring me along”Helena smiles warmly back at him.Richard was about to raise another sweet speech when he saw Edward making way to where they were.

“Oh dear Edward,you should have told me earlier you wanted to risk bringing someone to delicate to here”Only Edward’s glare was enough as a response to Richard’s words.

He smiles and moves over to the side of his friend.

“Come with me”Edward stated and turns his back on them.

“He probably meant you”Richard said.Helena follows Edward to a room.There is a big bookshelf which is filled with books,at the left side sat a desk and a chair.With every settings,it looks like Edward’s personal office.

“Stay here,go no where and touch nothing”He said sternly.

“But you said you brought me here to learn,what is there to learn from sitting around doing nothing”Helena voiced out.This made Edward curious of what changed his wife.He looks at her without saying a word.He moves over to the bookshelf and retrieves a large book.He dumps it on the desk.

“Here..this will keep you busy”He said and then leave the room.Helena sighs.She seats on the chair and rest her head on the desk.She knew her day wouldn’t be fruitful anyways.

“It’s a chemical,the dead victims turned blue after the died,their eyes becomes bulgy,their tongue color changes to white,it’s definitely a chemical exposed to the town well”Richard concluded.There is a corpse on the countertop.Richard,Edward,Mr Albert and a lieutenant surrounded the counter.

“This is the third dead victim,who would do such thing”Mr Albert said with a frown.

“As my investigation per say,it must be from the Royal family since the king failed to produce a heir,the king’s elder brother must be so impatient to seat on the throne that he wants to cause chaos in the town,crisis in the royal family and then everyone decides to dethrone the king and then he takes over”The lieutenant said and chuckles.

“A story well said Gray but if you aren’t careful enough,you might have your tongue cut for it”Mr Albert said.Edward didn’t say anything instead he studies the body.

“We need to know what the chemical is made of to create a cure,you might as well rampage the stores involved in chemicals lieutenant,it will help in knowing fully well what source of chemical it is”Edward said.

As a professional,he had learned to create cure on his own.

“Or maybe you can just bring in two or three of the sellers to confirm exactly what smell each of the chemicals is,all of them must know what smell each of the chemicals they sell has so they might get the smell emitting from the water”Richard added and Edward nodded of approval.

“I will work on that but first you professionals should stop anyone of the victims to be the fourth dead,I will do my job and you do yours too”Lieutenant Gray said.

“You might as well do that,keeping people alive is not only for the physicians”Edward gave a nasty reply to the lieutenant’s words.He isn’t polite and he doesn’t hide it.He left the room without saying nothing else.

“Forgive him lieutenant,in time you will watch past his behavior”Richard smiles sheepishly.He leaves the room also.

“Who the f**k he is”Gray spat.

“Am just learning to tolerate him too”Mr Albert chuckles.

When Edward reaches his office,he met his wife strolling around,touching every little things she laid her eyes on.He stood there,not interrupting her with her research.

“That damn bastard..he expects me to just seat..”Helena stops abruptly when she meets Edward’s gaze.

She was surprised to see Edward leaning on the door,waiting for her to notice he’s in the room already.

“Am..”She wants to give an excuse but Edward cared less to listen,he cuts her off.

“It’s simply normal to talk out your mind”Edward said but Helena wasn’t convinced.

“He walks over to where she stood,shadowing her with his tall frame and broad shoulders.She lowered her gaze on the floor,sulking like a guilty puppy.

He tilted her chin up so she could be facing him.

“What I can’t ignore is the fact that I told you to stay in one place,I don’t remember telling you to touch my things”Fear gripped her as she swallowed hard.

Her face becomes pale and her palm begins to sweat.Edward focuses on her face,especially the rosy pink lips of hers.He felt like kissing her and he didn’t hold back,after all she’s his wife.Slowly,he takes her lips into his.

She was shocked at the sudden contact.He continues savoring her lips as he got more impatient.He was clearly hungry for her,he knew but wouldn’t accept he’s craving for her this much.

Helena is getting more scared with the way he’s taking her lips.She thought it’s going to be a little kiss that would end with her being nervous around him but he didn’t stop in fact it was getting more intense.He keeps feeding on her lips as she keeps taking footsteps backwards for until her back hits the wall.

He stops kissing her lips and go for her fresh thin neck.As he kisses her neck,he slowly begins to find his way into her dress as he touches her thighs.He thought maybe it’s only a slut he needs but now he realizes it was his wife he craves for.

Helena came right in her senses.She pushed him away from her.They stood there,staring at each other.Only the rapid sound of her heart could be heard and that of her rapid breaths.

Edward moves away from from her,He walks over to the door to leave the room.

“I do need a woman”he thought.

After he had left,she dumps herself on the chair.She keeps remembering every little moments they had shared in the past minutes.

Later in the evening,Edward withdraws from work.He had the intention of sending Helena off to the mansion so he could go for a drink with his friend.

“Take her home”He said to Steven who nodded as a reply.Helena watches what he was doing.She had no intention of going back early,in fact she wants to confront him about what they had shared in the cozy office.Edward looks at Helena before he turns to leave her in the entrance which Helena finds unacceptable,she blocks his way.

“We came here together,we ought to go back home together,am not leaving until you do”Edward didn’t reply instead he stepped away from her.

“Am not leaving”Helena said but didn’t get a response from him.She groans in annoyance.

“My lady,the moon is soon to set,we should be on our way”Steven said,Helena ignores him.She watches until Edward disappears into the care house.

She doesn’t have any other choice than to go into the carriage.

Her thoughts draws back to the moment when they were alone in the office.

She swallows hard and close her eyes to clear her mind.
