The abrupt change in the atmosphere sent shivers down the spines of the pack members. I could literally see them shaking to the bone with fear in their eyes as they all looked transfixed, waiting for what would happen next.
The once tranquil air had turned frigid and still, a haunting stillness that gripped them all. Confusion washed over their faces as they began to emerge from their ritual trance, disoriented by the sudden shift in energy. The maids next to me were shaking visibly and I could see the unanswered questions in their eyes but I myself couldn't bring myself to answer them neither could I understand exactly what was going on.
