It was the day before the wedding. It was really becoming a very long day, with so many rituals that to be performed, before the authentical Indian wedding. I had to cooperate to everything. But i was double sure that these rituals and sacrament had no use at all. After all, this is just an alleged, pretended wedding. That night, my parents and aunty had arranged for the wedding reception. I had to wear a cream colored party gown, the torso part had glittering works and the skirt was netted and layered. The dress was looking extravagantly pretty and enticing l. And the best thing about the attire is, Tarun was forced to gift me this dress on that particular dawn. Aunty had asked him to gift me this dress, and that's why, this happened! After everything that happened that evening, the reception and the banquet; i came back to my room given to me inside the wedding hall. I and Shriya decided to take up one room. Being so worn out, Shriya captured half of the bed as soon as we reached our lodging. I did not sense any ways that i can snooze, because my sick little head was overloaded with thoughts.  Being a psychiatrist, i know i shouldn't be stressed like this, upon which i have to lay out my atomic attentions. Yet, my mind travelled back to the same old, thing that has been threatening me since the last few days! I decided to tread into the portico. My heart wanted to talk to Shriya. Though i don't know if she'd unriddle something, whenever i blab out my silly problems, I always breathed a sigh of relief. I was surefire that, i wouldn't be able to bargain to cut off her sleep to listen silly things that are stirring me up! The partial me didn't want to prod her as she was in the mezzo of a dream. That's when i heard someone banging the door. I strode towards the entrance of the room and unlocked the latches of the door to see who it was! The slightly opened door revealed Tarun standing in front of me under the heavy influence of alcohol, half of his shirt tucked in and the remaining half out, his hair dissipated and he was holding a half empty whiskey bottle.  His eyelids were struggling to stay apart. It showed that he was in the meridian of inebriety, his whole body and the bottle solemnly stenched bad! 'Why are you here? ' i shouted, looking at him. 'Ssshhhh ' he said,  gesturing me to keep quiet, his voice wobbling due to the intake of intoxicant. 'Why did you come here now?!'  i asked gritting my teeth. 'I hate you' he simply said stroking his hair. My eyes sparkled and i looked straight into his eyes. 'Oh, really! How cute!! I hate you too! And now go away.'  i rebelled, gritting my teeth once again. 'Now that you hate me, shall we call off this wedding?! ' he asked as he sipped his whiskey bottle. 'Mr. Gentleman, we both hate eachother and that's the great reason, why we're getting married.' i sparked. 'I don't want you! I don't want this wedding!! Go, knock your parent's room, and ask them to abort this wedding plan. ' he blabbered. ' Seriously, you're nuts! You should have told this earlier.  Now, if you really want to call off, go and tell your mom that you're not interested. But in anyway, i can't go and tell my parents! I can't hurt them!! Did you get it!? ' i asked in a silent yet affirming tone. He started to walk into the room. I tried to stop him but the try was a failure. ' I told you not to come in. She is sleeping. Don't disturb other people for your happiness! ' i snapped again in a warning tone. ' She will sleep and you will sleep.  But i am unable to sleep. It's because of you and this f*****g wedding plan. ' he shouted. I sealed his mouth with my palm to prevent him from shouting. ' I told you, not to be loud! ' i said. ' Okay, tell me now! if you can call it off or not! ' he exclaimed raising an eyebrow and sipped his whiskey. ' This can't be done and if i do it, you will regret this act, when you wake up in the morning! ' i said and sniffed. He was tousling and tilting throughout the conversation. In one line, he was unstable. Soon, i decided to call Maya and Akshay to take him back to his room. I dialled Maya. ' Hello, Maya! Tarun is here in my room, fully drunk and he is asking me to cancel the wedding. Both of you come here and take him back to his room! ' ' We will be there in a jiffy! ' she said hurriedly. I disconnected the call and approached tarun. ' Did you tell your parents?! ' he asked, taking a big gulp. ' I already said, that i can't! ' i answered with great anxiety. I thought he had come all the way straight from the bachelor's part, but then it struck me came that there was no bachelor's party! Soon, Akshay and Maya came to my room. He was sitting on the recliner inside the room. 'Akshay, tell her to cancel the wedding! ' he said the same thing again. 'I told you not to drink before i left your room! Why did you do this?!' Akshay questioned. 'I don't want this wedding! Please plan and call it off! ' ' Okay, let's call it off, but now come with us to your room! ' Maya said. ' Will she call it off?! ' he asked, with a great doubt. ' Yes, she will; now, first come with me. We will go and sleep. Get up! ' she said holding his arms with her hands to take him off the couch. With Maya holding on one side and Akshay on the other side, finally, they moved him off the couch and they exited the room holding his arms around their neck. ' I am sorry, i did not know how to push him back to his room. I had to call you both. Sorry for disturbing! ' i apologized. ' This isn't a disturbance at all! No formalities! ' Akshay smiled.  Maya smiled, as usual, divinely. But then he turned away suddenly, with his whiskey bottle in the hand. I was standing at the entrance of the room to see what he was doing! He went twisted in a zig zag manner and as an impact, the other two also had to twist to balance themselves. 'I hate her, Maya! I hate this wedding! I hate everything! I love this! ' he stammered kissing his whiskey bottle. Maya had told me that he would drink occasionally, but i didn't expect him to drink on the previous night of our wedding. And how dare he is, to ask me to cancel this wedding! It's all the booze, that made him behave that way. Even if he had said with conscience, i wouldn't have cancelled! I returned to bed and drifted off to sleep. And the next day was the wedding.  I was supposed to wake early in the morning. I didn't know, what did he do after going back to his room yesterday?! Did he sleep! Did he wake up now! Is the wedding still alive without being called off!? All these questions surrounded me although i was extremely irritated by his yesterday's activity. I woke up and began to get ready for the wedding and needless to say, my room was occupied by all unknown aunties, who had come to witness this wedding and i hadn't seen many of them in the past recent days. They were all talking and gossiping about my wedding. I wore the Saree that aunty had shopped for me and i matched it with the jewels that my parents had gifted. I cared the least about my appearance that day and i don't have to say that, it's because i was really exhausted thinking about the causes and consequences of the wedding. I had no comprehension of what was going on in my mind and i didn't open my mouth to ask Maya about what happened last night, after he left my room. And once, all their doubts about my attire and jewels ran out of stock. All the strange ladies went out to see the rituals that was happening with only Tarun on the stage. That's when i asked Maya about the last night. 'Maya, what happened last night? Was he okay?! Did he stop his blabbering?! ' i asked with furrowed eyebrows. ' He was okay! Akshay stayed with him the entire night.   As soon as we went, we made him to stand under the shower and soon after,  he came out of the inebriety. Akshay then let him sleep and stayed back there. I came back to my room. ' she said and sighed! ' What was happening yesterday night?! ' Shriya asked, amidst the grand commotion as she had no idea of last night. And then, I and Maya conjointly, recited about what happened and it is causeless to say that Shriya listened to this drama rolling her globose eyes. In the next tenth minute my makeover came to an end, it was really trifling and lazy to sit idle on the chair showing my face and hair to the beautician. Few minutes later, my mom entered the room, insisting us to come to the wedding hall, to present myself to the rites and rituals that had been happening since early morning. We buzzed out of the room and entered the wedding hall, and everyone sitting therefixed their gaze on me. I felt irked and embarrassed to be the centre of attraction there. I was made to sit beside the drunkard. He was sitting beside me in his silk dhoti and shirt, as if nothing had happened. He came out like a pukka polished man. Apart from his usual Adonis charm, the hypersensitivity and vulnerability made me drool at him. And even now, i was plunged deep in my thoughts, analysing the feelings that i had for him and as usual it came to an end with the hypothetical and equivocal voice from within. In flat out, it was not the end of thoughts and that's why, the hypothetical result! All that irritation and aversion that i had towards him spiked to the sky when i imagined the contrast of Tarun, that i witnessed last night and the way he is at ease now, beside me. When i turned to his side, with usual rude gaze he was already staring at me!
