William and I had finished out talk, and had a walk around the hospital garden. It was beautiful, with flowers planted all around and a picnic area in a shady area, surrounded by trees. It was definitely the kind of place where you could relax during recovery, and made a nice change from the mundane sterility of the hospital ward. I could tell that this was William's place - out in nature - and he really didn't want to go back inside. We spoke about "normal" things, about what the hospital was feeding him, and how school was going for me. It felt good to have a conversation that didn't involve the supernatural, and wasn't interrupted by a burning desire to know more.  Eventually, a nurse came looking for him and told him he needed to go back in for his medication.
