Ch. One
Tasha's POV
"Tash," my best friend Macy called happily as she waved from a distance. I glanced up at her as she waltzed my way.
"Hey, girl, I haven't seen you all morning," she said. "I was in a hurry," I claimed, "that's all," I added with a smile. Macy raised her brow, "Are you sure?" She questioned inquisitivily.
"Yes," I responded. "Why wouldn't I be?" "Because Tash, you know that you can always tell me what is going on. You're my best friend," Macy expressed. "Did those stupid guys do something again?" She questioned. "No," I shook my head.
The guys that she is referring to are the most desirable triplets at this school.
Aiden, Kaden, and Luca bully me. They have since grade school, and they are the future alpha's to this pack. The Blood Moon Pack.
I got to school early this morning and skipped out on meeting up with Macy. Just so that I wouldn't accidentally run into them.
My name is Natasha, and just in a few short days, I will be 18. I have jet black shoulder-length curly hair, which those guys love to pull at.
I have light brown skin, which those three love to throw insults at me for. I never thought I would hate my appearance so much, at least not until I met the three of them.
I also have dark brown eyes. I'm 5 foot 2, which is short for a she-wolf, and I'm skinny. Probably from all the meals I'm forced to skip.
My grams and I have very little money and barely get by. So I skip meals to help out with the grocery bill.
I'm not originally from this pack. I'm from a tribal pack, which is why I appear different.
After my entire pack was destroyed, the Blood Moon's Alpha was kind enough to take my grams and I in. I was only ten then.
"Earth to Tasha," Macy called as she waved her bony hand in my face. "Oh," I blinked a few times. I had been lost in thought. "So, what ya thinking about," Macy playfully said.
"Nothing," I lied. I didn't want her to worry because I couldn't shake the thoughts of my tormentors.
"Let's go to class before we're late," I told her as I was trying to hide my fear. I was terrified of bumping into my bullies on the way to class.
Aiden's POV
I was already on the edge, and I could feel my wolf wanting to rise and take control.
My brothers and I are 18. We turned 18 three months ago, and there was still no sign of our mate.
"Aiden," my youngest brother Luca huffed as he leaned forward on his desk, carving circles in the wood with a pencil. I examined him, though he didn't even look my way. I could just get a sense of how frustrated he was, so I left him alone.
My brothers have always looked up to me. They always needed me to just give them the answers they were looking for.
But this time, I couldn't. I was at a complete loss as well. "Do you think she is in another pack?" Kaden asked. "Our mate that is," he added.
"It is a possibility, but we can not search until after graduation," I stated. Luca didn't say a word, but he groaned, letting everyone know of his annoyance.
Graduation is at the end of the week, and everything must go smoothly. Soon, we'll be in charge of this pack, and we can't be mateless.
Most other packs, the new Alpha ascends at twenty-one while they still have time to find their mates. Though in the Blood Moon Pack, it is eighteen.
Class ended, and my brothers and I waited for the classroom to empty before leaving.
Tasha's POV
Thank the Goddess that it is the last class of the day. My head just can not continue with all of this gossip about graduation and the pressure of mating.
My teachers speak as if there is no other way than to expand the pack. Honestly, I believe my mate is definitely not in The Blood Moon Pack. In fact, he was probably killed years ago during the raid on tribal packs.
I groaned, placing the palm of my hand on my forehead.
"Tash, Tasha," was what I heard, pulling me from my thoughts. I looked to see that it was Macy who had entered the classroom and sat right next to me.
I smiled at her, then she leaned over and whispered in my ear, "The teacher is out sick, so there will be a substitute."
I nodded, and as I did, I glanced over in the direction of the classroom door.
I saw the triplets lingering right outside. "Oh my gosh, I hope that they skip class today," I murmured.
Macy examined me with a confused expression attached to her face. She knows exactly how bad the situation is between the three and I.
"Hey, girl, are you going to be alright?" Macy muttered. "I don't know," I stated silently to myself. My breathing picked up slightly, and my heart pounded against my chest.
Not because I felt love for them, but in fact, I was frightened by them. Yes, I can admit that the triplets did have their perks about them.
They were handsome with tan skin, brown hair, and eyes with a muscular build like Greek gods. All three stood at six foot two and every girl's dream guy.
As cruel as they are, they uphold their image really well. Somehow, I believe I'm the only one who ends up on their bad side.
The bell rang, and the classroom door flew open. Aiden's eyes instantly locked onto mine as his brothers bumped into the back of him.
"Hey, what gives," Kaden exclaimed as he and Luca followed their elder brothers' gaze. The classroom was quiet except for the triplets who grumbled at the very sight of me.
The three didn't freeze for long when they began a prowling pace toward me. I slouched down in my seat as I tried to avoid their menacing presence.
Luckily, my bullies left me alone and went to sit at the back of the class. "Tash breath your turning purple," Macy frantically said.
I let go of a gasp of air and nodded to Macy, "I'm fine," I whispered. The substitute strolled on in and interrupted my best friend's next question.
I felt relieved because I just knew that she was about to ask about the triplets.
Macy stands up for me when it comes to the group that the triplets surround themselves with. She even stands up to Aiden, Kaden, and Luca as well.
I appreciate everything that Macy has done for me. But I just wish that I could be as strong as her.
"Hello, students. My name is Mr. Bentley." Mr. Bentley turned to face the whiteboard. He picked up a dry-erase marker and proceeded to write down his name.
"Ms. Von had some important matters to attend to, and I'll be standing in for her today," he stated.
Aiden's POV
I tried to relax as class went underway, but my wolf seemed to be antsy. "What is wrong with you?" I groaned. Yet my wolf Apex just ignored me as he became more restless.
The sub was giving out a lesson, which was pointless. Honestly, I don't understand it. We are literally graduating this Saturday, and the teachers are still giving out the curriculum.
Just thirty minutes to go to get the hell out of here. Apex began to whine, "Seriously, man, what is it," I questioned my wolf.
"You're pacing and whining is making me anxious. Are you going to answer me?" I asked, but he still didn't answer.
"Hey," Kaden whispered. "Is everything alright? You keep repositioning yourself." I sighed."Not really. Apex is agitated and won't tell me why. Actually, he is ignoring me," I replied.
Kaden raised his brows with curiosity, "Yeah, I know what you mean. Apollo has been acting weird too. That may explain our littlest bros attitude." he explained.
I glanced over at Luca, who sat right next to Kaden. He was definitely trying to self-sooth as he moved about in his chair.
I mind-linked him, " Hey dude, what is happening in that head of yours?" "Atticus is driving me crazy," Luca grumbled.
Atticus is his wolf, who, much like my brother, has this way about him. As to where his bad attitude can be lethal and, at times, he will make his presence known.
Atticus fights Luca for control at times. So I just pray that this isn't one of those times. "Class is nearly through, so just hang in there a little longer," I replied.
Luca, of course, didn't answer me. He just continued to bounce his leg anxiously.
We just waited in silence for the remainder of class. Yet every so often, I would glance over at the girl who had no business even being in this pack. Tasha Black, even her name is weird.
There is something different about her, though. I just can't put my finger on it.
My brothers and I know exactly what we are doing when we push her around.
She needs to know her place around here, and I'm more than willing to show her. She's weird and nothing more than tribal trash.
The second the school bell rang, Luca stood and quickly. He was out that door at wolf speed, so I knew just for a moment Atticus had taken over.
Kaden and I hurried after him in order to make sure Atticus wouldn't do something stupid. I don't need another incident to explain to my father why we need money to renovate the school.
"I wonder what the hell is going on? Our wolves are acting up and won't explain themselves." Kaden muttered.
"I wish I had the answers for you. But right now, my focus is on the one who can't seem to keep it together." I explained.
"True," Kaden mumbled with a nod. I groaned as I closed in on Luca, heading toward the exit.
Although just as I was about to pass the lockers, I saw the weird girl. I'm curious as to how she got here from the classroom that quickly.
I sidestepped and slammed her into her own locker. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," Apex warned me.
I just brushed him off as Tasha tried to hide her teary eyes from me. "HEY," her friend yelled. "DO YOU GET YOUR ROCKS OFF ON BEATING UP DEFENSELESS GIRLS."
Great, just what we need. Oh well, I guess that it can't be helped. I closed the gap between this stupid girl who dared speak to me in such a way.
"Would you like to join her," I threatened. "Why not," she quickly responded. "Although I won't be as easy to mess with," she sarcastically smiled.
"Sounds like a challenge," I stated. But before I began to walk away, I announced to the onlookers, "THIS BLONDE b***h AND TRIBAL WITCH ARE FARE GAME."
Then I turned my back to leave. I loved to see how pale Tasha had become. Let's just see if they can last the whole week.
Kaden and I found Luca standing next to my car hopping from one foot to the other. "Hurry up let's go," Luca whined.
I unlocked the doors to my vehicle and Luca was the first to climb in. Once we were all seated, I brought the engine to life and speed off.
