Chapter Eleven: Autumns POV.

The silence on the ride home was deafening. We pulled up out front of the packhouse. "Guys please don't tell Hunter what happened earlier. I need to tell him myself. Please. I promise I will I just need time to process it in my own head." "We won't say anything we promise, don't we Leah." "Of course. Just please don't wait too long. He'd be pissed once he finds out we knew and said nothing." "I won't. Thank yous so much." I lent over and gave them both a quick hug. Gathering my bags, I made a beeline inside to my room. My mind was overloading. Who was that mysterious man and why had he thought I was his mate. Had he mistaken me for someone else? No that couldn't be right. He knew my name. Was he someone from my past? I was completely and utterly mindfucked. One thing was for certain tho. He said he'd come back for me. And that literally sent chills to through my bones. If anything, I was certain now more than ever I needed to learn to defend myself. I was tired of men controlling me. Having no say in what happened to me or what I wanted for myself. I needed to talk to Hunter. I needed to convince him to let me train with the pack. I went off in search for Hunter heading towards his office. I knocked. No answer. I knocked again. Still no answer. Where could he be. I decided to check the training grounds. My breath hitched, feet coming to an abrupt stop seeing him top less in nothing but a pair of black basket ball shorts, sweat dripping down his chiseled chest, his abs gleaming in the sun. My p***y pulsated as I eye f****d this man. I was aroused just by the pure sight of him. Even Aurora was excited by the sight of him. "Go to Mate." She whined. I blocked her out as I walked towards him. Clearing my throat "Hunter can we please talk for a minute. In private." He immediately stopped what he was doing. I avoided looking him in the eyes but I could still feel his gaze burning into me. "Come with me." I followed him away from the rest of the pack that were training. He stopped to pick up a towel and bottle. Dabbing himself dry he then took a big gulp of water from his bottle. What I'd give to have him swallow me like that. Come on Autumn, it ain't the time to being imagining how it'll feel, his head between my thighs, tongue flicking harshly against my swollen clot, his fingers sliding between my folds. "Did you hear me? Autumn?." Embarrassment evident on my beet red face that I hadn't been paying attention I cleared my throat trying to compose myself. "Sorry. I was, uh, distracted." A small grin crept upon he face making him appear even more irresistible. It was amazing how a simple gesture had me hot and bothered for this man. We barely knew each other and yet my entire being just wanted to submit to him. To claim his as our own. "What is it you want to talk about?". "So, um, today at the mall. There kind of was this guy.." The mention of another man instantly had Hunter fuming. His muscles tensed and his pupils were enlarging. His wolf was fighting for control. It was taking everything he had to fight his wolf. "Continue.." "He knew my name. He came up to me claiming that he was my mate. If it wasn't for Leah and Lexi he would've succeeded in trying to take me with him. Deep breathe. "He also said he wouldnt stop coming for me until he had me." I bowed my head. I know it wasn't my fault but still for some reason guilt was eating away at my insides. I was expecting Hunter to be angry of course, but what I wasn't expecting was for him to completely flip his s**t. His roar echoed across the pack land. Birds in the woods stopped chirping, every single person who was around stopped what they were doing turning their attention to us. You could hear a pin drop the silence was that deafening. Hunter stalked towards me, grasping onto my arms a little too harshly. His fingers dented into my forearms, leaving red reminders underneath them. "Hunter please! You're hurting me!." I begged with tears in my eyes. Except, it wasn't Hunter no more. His wolf had taken over out of pure rage! Power radiated off him."YOU ARE MINE! AND ONLY MINE LITTLE MATE! YOU BELONG TO ME AND NO ONE IS GONNA TAKE WHAT'S f*****g MINE!". His declaration was clear. He thought he owned me. Part of me was proud of this powerful man wanting to be with me. But the other half was fuming that he thought he could claim me like I was an object. How dare he. I couldn't help the words that flew out my mouth next. I poked a finger into his chest. "I'm no ones f*****g property, mate or not! You think because the moon goddess fated us to be together that you automatically have a claim to me?!!! How f*****g dare you!!!!" I regretted the words that came out my mouth instantly when I seen hurt flash across his eyes. But that's not my fault. I'm sick of people telling me what I can and can't do. It's time I stood up for myself. His canines lengthened and I was terrified. He was going to mark me out of jealousy and anger. I had to do anything to stop him. I'd never forgive him if he marked me just to prove a point. It was suppose to be out of love. A moment we would both cherish. A moment we could tell our children and grand children about. Not this volatile way. "I, Autumn Thomas of the Crescent moon pack, reje-" "DON'T YOU DARE FINISH THAT SENTENCE, LITTLE MATE." I didn't want to reject him. But it was the only way option I could think of to distract him from marking me. His grip on my arms released and he backed away keeping eye contact with me. I had broken this man. Caused him pain. He actually believed that I didn't want him. That I didn't need him. He put me that predicament. I had no choice. "Hunter, please.." He shifted, bolted into the woods leaving me standing there with tears streaming down my face. Sobbing, I whispered like he could hear me. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it."
