Lunch

His girl, MATE???? ..........nooo what am i going to do, pops was right Luke is a wolf and he's calling me his mate, i need to run as far away from him as possible but my heart won't let me as much as i hate to admit it but being in his arms wad the best place in the world and now being away from him i just want to cry but i cant my head is so messed up i need to go so pulling myself away from his friend i go to run but his friend must have guessed my plan because he grabbed my hand before i had the chance to take a step " please don't run i would never hear the end of it from Luke, i have to look after you remember " he says making me feel guilty about getting him in trouble, sensing his victory he quickly says " im Jamie by the way " i look down at his hand before i take it and say " im Beth" "yeah i know, iv seen you around " Jamie was quite refreshing to have around he didn't seem to care about the latest ins he just seemed to want to have a good time "oh here comes Luke so ill make myself scarse,maybe we can hang out some time Beth " "errr sure" i say to him not really knowing what to say and being distracted by the fact that a "hot hunk" errr i shake my head i mean a" georgous " no i mean Luke just Luke was walking towards me i swear its like i have an extra voice in my head ,its very distracting, "come " Luke says taking my hand and leading me to the canteen for lunch.

we stand in line waiting quietly and each time someone is brave enough to give us a curious look Luke glares at them and says "yes, do you have a problem?" so they would quickly turn back round to the front eventually it happens so often it makes me giggle causing Luke to look at me smile and go to take my hand but as his fingers touch my skin i feel a tingling making me go to jerk my hand away from him but he just grabs my hand back into his "why are you pulling away from me, i know you feel our connection" with my hand in his i can't think straight so i try to keep my mouth shut but that isn't what Luke wants "well?" so i take a deep breath and plan to just say something about getting something from my bag but instead what comes out is " i get a tingling sensation when you touch me and i cant think straight it's like your a d**g" i quickly pull my hand out of his and slap it over my mouth " oh god " i say mortified but luke just laughs and comes closer to me "is that right, princess?"

"come on love birds what are you having?" the lunch lady rolls her eyes at us, i jump away from Luke making him smile again then he grabs a tray and starts loading it up with more food then it was possible for anybody to eat and pays before turning to me "come on princess" then takes my hand and leads me to an empty table, before i have a chance to sit down Gem is by my side "hey loser?" before i have a chance to respond Luke towers over her but Gem being Gem laughs at him and says "my my aren't you a big boy?" and giggles, Luke's face is like thunder and any minute he's gonna snap so i intervene "Luke its fine, this is Gem she's my sister" at that Luke visibly relaxes, "eerr clearly your busy so ill catch you later sis i was just letting you know i don't need a ride home tonight, im going to the mall with Stevie" "well that's good iv got detention anyway" Gems eyes go wide "no way, YOU HAVE DETENTION are you sure " i laugh at her reaction "ofcourse i am, now go away, ill see you tonight and get me ......." "yeah yeah i know coconut lindt balls but i want details about whats gone on today" then she glances at Luke and says " see ya" before skipping off with Bianca and Stevie laughing .

"Sorry about that," i say to Luke who just watches me and says "no problem, now eat " so i pick up a slice of pizza off his tray and nibble at it, we spend the whole lunch just quietly eating our way through the pile of food on Lukes tray, as the lunch hour starts drawing to a close i start getting agitated, if i thought Luke wouldn't notice i was wrong "what's up?" "erm, nothing,im fine" Luke frowns at me "please don't ever lie to me, now tell me what's wrong?" i smile at him before saying " well i have sports next, and im going to have to run through the woods as running is what we are doing this term and well when the teacher isn't looking who do you think will be the punch bag? not that im not grateful to you" Luke is quiet for a minute before he says " cant you fight?" " yes but Shannon doesn't fight on her own, iv never had less then five beating the crap out of me" Lukes eyes go hard before they soften and he says "don't worry she won't touch you, ill make sure of that ".
