An Eventful Evening

I was at a loss of words about the recent turn of events in the last 45 minutes. I was seeing Jake in an all-new light, from a hot commanding dominant man he has now become a very kind, caring and a sensitive man. "Rachel, are you ok? I have called the paramedics they are on the way". " I am a little better Jake"."Thank god, you are fine.What happened to you back there?, I was worried sick for you."I am claustrophobic Jake, this happens to me in such situations, I am sorry for this". He came close to me and cupped my face with both his hands," Hey, don't say sorry, it's not your fault, i am glad that i could help you, you should not feel embarrassed about anything in front of me ok".This man just draws me to him in ways which i cannot express in words, "thank you Jake, for today". He pulled me in his arms and gave a very warm and soothing hug.The rest of the day went in blur and in no time it was time to meet my girls.

I reached Pier 69 at City Vineyard and to my surprise Kim was already there, and this was surprising because Kim, Brett and Jenn are the ones who can never be on time.Well today's day is full of surprises again. "Hey girl, good to see you here on time"."Hey bro, good to see you, how have you been? ". Kim asked by hugging me tightly and being chirpy as ever. Kim has always been one of those souls who enjoys spending time with family and friends and by time I mean crazy and wild moments.I and Kim have known each other since high school and it's always a pleasure to be with her, she is a woman with a very vibrant personality and a girl after my own heart. "I am good, how are you doing?", " well I am good too, i was so excited to meet you today, we are going to have one hell of a night today and I want all the details", she said with a wink to me and had this huge goofy smile on her face. " Well, I am looking forward to the evening as well, when are Jenn and Rebecca coming?", "Oh! Jenn is busy with some board meetings and Rebecca has some emergency in the hospital hence they couldn't make it, so it's just me and you tonight." "Ok, no problem let us have all the fun tonight."That's like my girl, but let's order first, because without yummy food and wine our evening is incomplete."

We ordered some yummy Chinese and red wine to start with our evening. "So? spill the beans babe, what's up with this Jake guy?"."Umm, I don't know how to describe it Kim, he is the one whom I had met that evening at Plush". "Oh, ya I remember, that hottie whom you had helped, girl if it weren't for you I would have definitely made a go on him, I mean just look at him who could say no to such a hunk. So, Brett said that you are working with him now how did that happen?. " It's a long story Kim but just know that it was a coincidence, and the one I am liking". "Ummm, interesting. Well, I am glad that finally you are in the dating game once again. Certainly, this will help you with the cobwebs situation down there." And after saying this she started laughing. "Ya you have not had s*x since last year and you cannot stay nun your entire life, and whatever is going on with you and this Jake guy, it will certainly take care of that situation as well"."I work for him and we are not dating.", "Well you never know, by whatever I can understand, I feel that things are going to change for you, so just go for it if there is anything". Kim has always been upfront and speaks whatever is in her mind. We ate our food and had wine, by the end of the evening we had too many conversations and jokes. I was tipsy and Kim was completely out of her senses. We made our way to the car and I asked her driver to drop her home safely and update me once she reached home. I was on my way to my car when I saw a shadow following me. I turned back to check, but the shadow was gone. I continued walking towards my car and again I felt as if someone was following me, maybe it was the wine in me. The moment I reached my car, I felt a tap on my shoulder and upon turning back someone covered my mouth and said, " tell him that he has to pay for everything, tell him that we are coming for him." The guy was masked and I could only see his eyes and hear his voice. I was in complete shock and fear ripped in me, what was he talking about?, what did he want? and who was "HE"? the masked man pushed me towards my car and I banged my head badly, my head got bruised and I had a little blood on my face. By the time, I recovered he was gone. I rushed out of the location and on the way called 311 and reported the incident and called Brett and Jenn as well, they were on the way to my home. What is happening? What is wrong?
