Intoduction
To whoever wishes to know,
Memories have a way of being either black or white, you remember the good or the bad but seldom both. The last thing about the war I remember was seeing the light fade from her purple eyes forever.
The war started when the witch queen killed the king. She took the thorn as her own and drove our world into chaos and darkness. Only a small group dared to rebel against her. They were known as the dragon warriors. Each one had the power to control an element; fire, earth, water, air. They were the ones who gave us the courage the fight back.
In a last attempt to stop the queen, the dragon warriors lead a war party against her. Blood spilled as the battle raged on turning the freshly fallen snow into a field of crimson ice. The dragon warriors knew there was only one thing that would stop the queen and end the war. They combined their powers to perform their most powerful attack; dragon spiral attack.
When it was over, a staff and the tattered remnants of a dress were found among the rubble and snow were the only things left of the witch queen. The four of them had vanquished her, but at a heavy price. They had lost their lives and I lost the one I love.
Death is a reality everybody has to face someday. I guess that's why tears wouldn't come no matter how hard I tried. I cradled her body in my arms. At that moment, I heard her voice on the wind, "I will always love you." I looked up and saw her spirit standing over me. She knelt down and kissed me one last time. I can still feel the warmth of her lips against mine. Before her spirit disappeared, I called upon the witch of dimensional time and made a deal with her.
"Please I beg of you to save the lives of the dragon warriors." I cried trying to hold back my tears.
"The only way to bring them back is to sacrifice another life in return. that is something I can not do. the switching of life forces is f*******n," responded the witch, "I may not be able to save them in this life but, I can in their next life."
"what," I exclaimed.
"The only way to save them is for them to be reborn," said the witch, "But it can only be done if they are born in another world. I can do this if you sacrifice something that is equal to this wish."
"If the price for them to live is to never see them again; I'll take it," I sadly agreed.
"I haven't finished yet. I will explain your price later. Do not assume things until you know all about it. Now then your wish is granted," explained the witch. At that moment four baby girls were born, but there was still something that still bothered me.
"their memories," I said suddenly," what will happen to their memories?"
"Their memories will be their dreams when they sleep," explained the witch of dimensional time, "The memories of their past lives will be their dreams when they sleep. They will start to have questions about those dreams. You will be the only one who can give them the answer they seek. You will be the one to get them ready for battles in the future." The last words that the witch told me are still burned into my memory " the dragon warriors will be needed again."
