"¡Cuidado, niño loco!" the woman shouted as she swung at him."¡Lo siento, señorita!" Jihoon yelped, narrowly avoiding a smack to the head. Not his fault; he was just trying to not get kidnapped.By some creepy dudes in suits. And also, maybe, just maybe, because his blood was glowing silver.Which was not normal. He skidded around a corner, sneakers barely gripping the cracked pavement, and almost crashed into a street.performer dressed as a golden statue.the guy yelped, Jihoon yelped, and the whole moment would've been hilarious if, you know, MEN WITH GLOWING EYES WEREN'T CHASING Him.One of them barked in a language he didn't understand. And then-Jihoon blinked. And suddenly, he wasn't in Mexico City anymore. The smell of tacos and exhaust fumes vanished. The shouting city lights-gone.He stood in an empty desert under a sky bursting with stars. The sand beneath his feet was still warm from the sun, and a strange energy buzzed through his veins.Jihoon groend. "Oh, come on-what is happening?!"Somewhere in the distance, a coyote howeld. And from behind him a voice spoke."Took you long enough to wake up, StarBone."CHAPTER 2the school for the Gift Ed (And totally Overpowered)Jihoon sighed, staring at the massive golden gates in front of him."Escuela Estelar den Poder." The star Academy of power.A place where the most gifted beings across the world came to master their abilities - shapeshifters, elemental controllers.,psychics, even some who claimed to have descended from gods.Jihoon? He was just some quite kid with no known abilities. Or at least, that's what everyone thought.
He adjusted the bandages on his forehead, making sure the talismans underneath were still intact. They pulsed sightly, containing the overwhelming,,energy that lay within. If even one of them broke... it wouldn't just be the school in danger - it would be the entire universe.
A group of students whispered as he walked past.
"Who's the new guy?"
"HE looks kinda weak."
Another nobody with no real power. I bet. "
Jihoon ignored them. He had no interest in proving anything. He just wanted to stay out of trouble.
But it seemed like trouble had a way of finding him.
" Hey, new kid!"
Jihoon turned.
Standing in front of him was Carmen Valdez-one of the most powerful student in the academy. Rich.strong.arrogant.
She crossed her arms, smirking. "you look lost. Don't tell me you're actually here to train?
Jihoon said nothing.
Carmen laughed. What.,cat got your tongue? Or are you just another weakling wasting space.
Jihoon sighed. He wasn't here to make enemies.
But when the first magic training session began, and the students had to showcase their abilities, everything changed.
Carmen summoned fire with a flick of her wrist, creating an impressive inferno. Othors manipulated water, lighting, and even shadows.
Then, it was Jihoons turn.
The instructor raised an eyebrow "well? Show us what u can do.
Jihoon hesitated. He couldn't really use his full power - one wrong move and this planet will cease to exist.
So he raised his had planning to do the smallest weakest spell possible.
A tiny spark of energy flickers in his palm.
Except... the moment it appeared, the entire training hall trembled.
Students gasped. Carmen's eyes widened.
The air itself vibrated around him.
The walls groened. A deep hum filled the room, as if the universe itself recognized what was happening.
Jihoon immediately closed his fist, cutting off the power.
Silence.
The instructor stared at him. Carmen took a step back.
Jihoon blinked. "Uh... was that enough?"
Everyone else? Speechless.
CHAPTER 3
The secret of the star academy.
For the next few days, jihoon did his best to stay under the Rader.
After his little "incident in training, people were watching him, Carmen, especially, she wasn't sure what she saw that day, but she knew it wasn't normal.
But Jihoon had bigger problems.
Because something was wrong with the school.
At first it was little things.
Doors moving to different locations.
Hallways stretching longer than they should.
Shadows flickering when no one was around.
He tried ignoring it. Maybe the school just had weird magic. But then, the whispers started.
Soft at first. A language he didn't recognize.
And when he walked past the f*******n library-the one students weren't allowed to enter - the whispers turned into a voice.
You don't belong here, Starborn.
Jihoon froze. The door to the library - was slightly open.
It wasn't supposed to be.
Something inside him stirred. His talismans burned slightly, reacting to whatever was behind that door.
He glanced around no one was watching.
Should he go inside.
