Mac's POV
It's been three years and six months since Louis and I got back from our honeymoon. Christmas is just around the corner and I am working on his gift. Every year we usually just go all out for Ivy but I want to change it up a little this year. Sure Ivy is getting everything she wants and more but it's time to act like a real family.
Hearing someone coming down the stairs I quickly threw a blanket over the project I was working on. Looking at the culprit I saw Ivy carrying a box and trying to sneak out the back door.
"Ivy, what are you doing?" I asked, standing up and walking towards her.
"Mom, I thought you were asleep." She said with a fake smile plastered on her face.
"What are you and your dad up to?" I asked after looking her over.
"Whaaaaat? We aren't up to anything." She reassured me in a high pitch squeak while nervously looking away from me.
"I will pretend not to be suspicious as long as you keep your dad out of the house for the rest of the day." I bargained making her flash her award winning smile.
"Deal, gotta go mom. I love you!" She yelled as she ran out back to her dad.
I smiled at the weirdo as I pulled out my phone.
"Hey Mathew, can you send the pictures from the other day to my phone?" I asked in the sweetest voice possible.
"Sure thing Mackenzie, I will send them to you and your husban-"
"NO! I-I haven't told him yet." I whispered into the phone.
"Then why do you want the pictures?" He asked skeptically.
"I am going to tell him on Christmas. I plan to tell the entire family at the party Christmas night." I explained.
"Alright, I will send them now. Can you show me the surprise at the party?"
"I don't see why not. I will even record their reactions for you."
"Sounds like a plan, I look forward to seeing you in two days."

Christmas Day
"Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Ivy chanted while jumping on our bed.
"Ivy, it is five am this is ridiculous." I groaned as I rolled over and put a pillow over my head.
"Oh come on babe, it's time to get up."
I mumbled profanity under my breath as I followed the two early birds. The only reason I even got up is because Louis NEVER gets up early so something is up and that has me worried.
"Presents!" My twelve year old daughter screeched as if she was three again.
For those of you wondering why she is surprised it's because we never put our presents out. We hire people to bring all of them in while we sleep so that Ivy doesn't snoop through them. Believe me when we say we've learned to do it. When Ivy was three she opened all of her presents while we were asleep.
For the next few hours we watched Ivy unwrap all of her presents. Of course it involved three pots of coffee, toast and headache medicine for all of her screaming. It was ridiculous.
After she got done we called in some maids to sort through her gifts and put them in the designated area. For example she has her own game room, fake gun room, target room, toy room, car room, and movie room. That of course isn't including her music/dance studio or her bedroom. Yes, my daughter is extremely spoiled.
We are now currently eating breakfast that all three of us cooked together. Sitting around the small table we made small talk until it was almost noon.
"So when are you two going to give each other your present?" Ivy asked eagerly.
"We can do that now and then get ready for dinner at Grandma Sarah and Grandpa Marks' place." I said, looking at Louis.
"Who do you want to reveal their gift first Ivy?" Louis asked while messing up Ivys hair.
"Dad, I want you to show mom yours first." She announced with a smirk, knowing her dad hates going first.
"Alright." He said nervously as he stood up, asking us to follow him.
"Close your eyes Mom!" Ivy said with a giggle.
I closed my eyes and let the two weirdos guide me to the surprise. We walked to the very back of the garden before they stopped and told me to open my eyes.
"Wow." I said breathless at what's in front of me.
There was a sculpture of us from our Sophomore/Junior Prom night. I had just given birth to Ivy and we got special permission to take her to the dance with us. Ivy was asleep in my arms while Louis had his arms wrapped around my waist. We were both looking at Ivys' sleeping face and time stopped for us that night because it was just that perfect.
And this sculpture is the exact copy of our first picture of us as a family. Heck, it has way more detail than the picture ever did. The navy blue dress I wore that day sparkled in the sun and Louis' hair shined as our eyes were bright and happy looking down at our newborn child.
This will forever be the greatest present anyone has ever given me. I felt arms wrap around me as tears started to fall onto my cheeks. I am literally speechless right now.
"Do you like it?" Ivy asked curiously.
"I love it. I am speechless right now. Everything about it is just so flawless." I continued to rant until Louis kissed me.
"You are flawless, and leave me speechless every day. And I am so so so happy that it has that effect on you." Louis said happily as he looked into my eyes.
"It's your turn mom!" Ivy screamed happily, ruining our little moment.
"I won't be able to live up to this at all." I said, looking at the statue again before taking them inside to where I hid my present.
"Here, this is for you." I said nervously, handing the box to Louis.
Louis carefully opened the box to reveal a photo album. I handmade the cover which was a picture of Louis as a kid with his mother and father. I watched his expressions as he flipped through the album. The first part of it had pictures of him as a kid with his parents, then it transitioned to a park where we met. There wasn't a picture of it but I had a friend draw a picture of how we met. Me running in the park and finding a crying boy on a park bench.
After a few sketches of Louis and I as kids it transitioned again. This time there was a picture of Freshman me and Sophomore Louis talking at the lockers at school, smiling at each other. A few pictures later there was a picture of a positive pregnancy test which had the name Ivy and date written in the corner. Of course I also included a picture of: us with Ivy at Prom, us arguing at each other then making up, Ivys' first steps/bath/word/etc.
Flipping through a few more pictures there was a photo of Louis and I while we were undercover, at parks/concerts/parties/Ivy's birthdays. The last two pages are what got their attention the most though. There was a picture of the entire family at our wedding, Ivy was the flower girl and my brother was the ring carrier. We were all smiling happily at the camera and there was even one of us laughing with dad, Mark, Sarah, Aaron, and Sam.
I got nervous as Louis was about to flip to the last page because that was where the real present is. The one thing none of them know yet.
As soon as Louis flipped the page he revealed a picture of yet another pregnancy test with last months date written on it. Right next to it was the ultrasound revealing that I am pregnant with twins.
"A-are you serious?" Louis asked looking completely shocked.
I just nodded in response and looked over at Ivy. "What do you think?"
"I-I'm going to be a big sister?" She asked, still trying to process everything.
I nodded in response and she screamed for the millionth time today, jumping up and down excitedly. I slowly looked over towards Louis who was still siting on the couch with a surprised expression.
"Lou, what do you think?" I asked nervously, not knowing if he's happy or not.
"I'm just... so happy. I didn't think it would happen since we have been trying for years." He finally stood up and hugged me, burying his face in my neck as I felt tears on my neck.

"So how did it go?" Matt asked curiously.
"It went better than expected. To say the least we both cried from each others' gifts."
For those of you wondering who Matt is, he is my brothers boyfriend. That's right folks, Sammy is gay and dating my doctor. Matt is the only one who knew I was pregnant because he is who I went to for the ultra sound.
"Do you have the video?" He asked eagerly before I handed him my phone.
"Of course." I smiled as I watched the video and saw how much my gift meant to him.
You see Louis didn't have any pictures of his parents. He only had memories and I can see why. These pictures were so damn hard for my friends to even find. But all the effort was worth it, this meant a lot to him.
"You know you made his year with that present right?" Matt asked, drawing me back from my thoughts.
"Yeah, he made mine too." I smiled at the thought of the statue. It really was heartfelt and made from the heart.
"It's time for diner." Sarah announced.
We all stopped what we were doing and went to the dinning room. It is rare for all of us to be together, and I am thankful that all of us could make it this year.
After we all finished our dinner and desert I decided it was time to make the announcement. Gently taping Louis' wine glass with a spoon I got everyones attention.
"Thank you all for coming tonight, I know some of you usually can't come so really, thank you. It wouldn't feel right to make this announcement without you all here. Ivy, would you like to tell everyone what you found out today?"
"Apparently black people don't get sunburned." Ivy abruptly said making everyone laugh.
"That's not what your mother was talking about Ivy." Louis said gently with a smile on his face causing Ivy to blush.
"Mackenzie is pregnant, and we are having twins." Louis said happily making the girls scream.
"Congrats' Mac!" Sam said happily, pulling me into a hug.
"Thank you Sam." I said with a pained expression.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I'll be fine, just enjoy your moment." I nodded and pulled him into another hug.
You see, Sam and Matt can't have kids. Not just because they are gay but because their sperm isn't fertile. They are forced to adopt a kid if they want a family since they can't create their own.

Six Years Later
"ELI GET OFF YOUR SISTER!" I screamed.
"I got it." Louis sighed as he pulled Eli off of Ellie.
To say the least this is how the last three years have been. The twins are inseparable but not in a good way. They constantly fight each other and argue unless they are sleeping.
But the good news is that they won't let anyone else pick a fight on them. If Eli sees another kid trying to be mean to Ellie he tries to fight them, and Ellie does the same for Eli. To say the least, they got kicked out of daycare and kindergarten and we are forced to hire two nannies to keep them off of each other while we are at work.
I work as a PA at the hospital down the street and Louis is an artist. Obviously he specialized in sculptures, metal and ceramic. Why not have Sam watch them? Well he is rarely home because he is a solo artist. What type? He is a singer, one of the best if I do say so myself.
Their Grandma and Grandpa can't watch them because quiet frankly I don't think they can handle it. The twins are just too much to keep up with, plus the constant fighting. I will not ask them to go through this much torture.
"Thanks Lou." I smiled weakly at him before looking at my son.
"Eli, apologize of you get no desert for two months." I said sternly while crossing my arms.
"But that's a long time." Eli pouted while Ellie smirked.
"I carried you in my stomach for nine months, do you want me to make your punishment longer?" I asked making him gulp and Ellie laugh.
"Ellie, I will take yours away for two weeks if you don't stay out of this." I threatened causing her to shut up.
My alarm went off making me Goan. "We will finish this when I get back from work."
-- -- --
"Finally some alone time." I sighed, relaxing in a bubble bath after my shift at the hospital.
I light a candle and put on Toni Romiti as I began to feel my muscles relax. Someone should really warn you about having kids, holy crap this is stressful. Slowly sinking further into the tub I let the water consume me.
The warmth of the water covering my face was so soothing, I wish I could just stay here forever. I miss these peaceful nights. I heard someone knock on the bathroom door, making me come back to the surface.
"Who is it?" I asked, wiping the water off my face.
"It's me, I just put the kids to be. Can I join you?" Louis asked through the door.
"Of course." I said with a smile as he opened the door.
"Long day?" He asked me as he stripped out of his clothes.
"Yeah, I don't know how much longer I can do this." I admitted while staring at the ceiling.
"Hey, I know the kids are a bit crazy but it doesn't mean you have to leave us."
"No, that's not what I meant Lou." I quickly reassured him making Lou sigh in relief.
"I'm thinking about quitting my job. The kids need somebody here to teach them discipline or else they are never going to change." I explained as Louis joined me in the tub.
"So you are going to stay home and teach them how to behave? Can't we just punish them until they understand?"
"Do you want our kids to hate us? This is the only way Lou. Believe me, it will work."
"You're right. But are you sure it's what you want?" Louis asked seriously with a little pain in his eyes.
"I know it's not what we wanted Lou, but they need this. Besides it's not like we don't have money. I still get money from Aaron for being the gangs private doctor. Yet alone the money I have saved."
"I'm not worried about finances babe, I don't want you to give up your dream."
"I have two dreams Louis, my dream is to be a good mother will forever be my top priority. Besides, I'm still Aarons emergency doctor. And if I really want to chase my dream as a Doctor then I will work after the kids mature enough to be home alone." I reasoned making Louis go silent.
"Alright, but the moment you want to go back to work just say the word and I will look after them." Louis said determined making me nod in agreement.

Two Years Later
"Great job kids!" I exclaimed happy with how far they've come.
The twins are now eight and they are complete angels now. After six months of staying home they started to behave decently. They have improved so much that I have started teaching them self defense.
"Good Afternoon Clark family!"
"Grandma!" Sarah was greeted by being tackled..
"Thanks for coming over Sarah." I said, helping her up.
"Eli, Ellie, don't break Grandma!" Ivy scolded making me laugh at her.
"So how was the D-A-T-E?" I asked her making her blush.
"Ohhh gossip. Twins, play in the back yard while the grown ups talk." Sarah said while rushing us to the kitchen.
"Spill." I said while grabbing lemonade from the fridge.
"Okay, so Fenice took me to this really fancy Italian restaurant-"
"It wasn't Olive Garden right?" Sarah interjected.
"Ew, no. It was actual Italian food with Italian owners and everything. Anyway, today he asked me to be his fiancee!" She screamed out excitedly soon followed by Sarah and I.
"Oh my God! I'm so happy for you two!" I said while hugging her tightly.
"Thank you." Ivy said with tears in her eyes as she looked out the window.
Okay so little intro here. Fenice is he boyfriend of three years. They started dating when Ivy was sixteen and she is now twenty. He is a really nice guy, has a southern accent which is adorable. He's very humble and down to Earth. Apparently he has had his eyes on her since Pre-K.
"So when are you going to tell everyone?" I asked her as she drank her lemonade.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you girls about. Do you think you could get the entire family together like you did when you announced you were pregnant?" Ivy asked with her hands together, practically begging me.
"Of course, anything for you and the twins." I said happily before kissing her forehead.
-- -- --
A Week Later
"Alright everyone settle down. You know we only come together on special occasions so who would like to guess what it is before we tell you?" I smirked at the entire family, knowing damn well they won't guess it.
"You aren't pregnant again are you?" I shook my head no and moved onto the next guess.
"Family vacation?"
"Getting back into the mafia?"
"Are you going to become a doctor again?"
"Is someone moving?"
After what seemed like endless guesses and 'no's I nodded towards Ivy and let her take the lead.
"Fenice and I are getting married!" She announced excitedly before Fenice made his own announcement.
"And we are expecting a baby boy." WHAT?!
I quickly put my arm out to stop Louis from going over to Fenice and teaching his a lesson. Literally nobody saw this coming. We were so shell shocked that we didn't speak for at least five minutes.
"Congratulations, when did you find out?" I asked while everyone will still processing everything.
"Two months ago?" She asked, obviously bending the truth.
"Ivy." I said giving her 'the look.'
"Fine, three months ago. I just didn't know how to tell you." Ivy admitted, obviously feeling bad about hiding the truth.
"Fenice, you are lucky I am tired or we would be fighting." I mumbled before standing up and leaving the room.
-- -- --
It's been about three hours since I came to the park. I know it may seem like I am being dramatic but why wouldn't she tell me something so life changing? Is it because I focused so much on the twins and barely had time for her when I was undercover? I swear I would take it all back if I could.
Looking up at the clear sky I sighed. It's a beautiful day and I am getting slapped in the face with the fact that I'll be a grandparent. That means my life is almost over and it f*****g sucks.
Why did I have to age? Couldn't I stay twenty six forever with my three kids? Just stuck in time and never losing anything because we would be together for eternity.
"I know what you're thinking Mac, I was thinking the same thing. But you need to look at the positive, you will still witness your grandchild grow up and see how successful each and every one of your kids get. This is not the end, we don't count down the days till we die. We count how many we made it through and hang onto the fact that no matter what family lasts forever. You will forever be part of them." Sarah explained making me feel a little bit better.
"Thanks Sarah."

Six Years Later
"Ilias get back here." I said as I chased yet another grand baby through the house.
"Mom, leave her alone. She is grounded remember?" Ivy said slightly irritated.
"She is grounded at your home, not mine. Besides why should I be punished for something she did? I thought Grandmas were supposed to have fun spoiling their Gand babies." I countered making her roll her eyes.
"I gotcha squirt!" I heard Lou say followed by giggles from Ilias.
"See, grandparents equal fun. Now where are the other five of your cute munchkins?" I asked excitedly.
"In the yard with Fenice. They are playing Warrior." I got excited just from hearing the game, immediately taking off to the yard.
"Warrior Granny at your service." I announced as I bowed to the fellow training Warriors.
"Bring it on!" The five of them shouted in unison signaling for the games to begin.
This right here is my new life, the one that I look forward to everyday since the kids live down the street from me. As a Grandmother I'd like to say I'm amazing, and as a Warrior I am the BEST there ever will be. And even if it's not for much longer, this is my Happily Ever After. Surrounded by family and loved ones.
