CHAPTER XV: Hunger for Your Love

I miss my Baby Mimi so much. I became busy these past three weeks. My shift schedule at the hospital got overloaded because we were understaffed. I already looked like a nurse zombie! I never had the chance to continue sending cute text messages to my girl. The only thing I could do after work is to sleep for a few hours then work again. I stayed at Sandra and Lea’s place because it’s near the hospital. When I opened my phone’s inbox, I was bombarded of multiple text messages from Milena. I got my energy back, knowing that she’s missing me too.

I requested our supervisor head nurse if I could have some days off this month. I needed to see Milena before meeting up with Dad. I’ll become the head nurse before the year end and I’ll make sure to fix our staff scheduling problem. Our current supervisor only made our shifts worse than ever. Nurses will be the patients of the hospital if he continue his own style of scheduling.

Mom’s back home and when I told her that I’ll be meeting with Milena, she told me to wait for her because she’ll cook Bopiz. It’s one of Milena’s favorite in my mother’s homemade dishes list. Mom was happy to know that I’m friends with Milena again. My girl made her way to my mother’s heart already but I’m not sure if Mom would accept us as lovers.

I saw Milena’s brother on my way to their house. He said that Milena’s cleaning their house then he gave me a key to unlock their door and surprise his sister. He wished me good luck before walking away.

When I got inside their house, I heard Milena singing along with the radio song, “A weeklong love story”. I silently laughed as she sung with cute hand gestures. She used her broom as her microphone and poured all of her emotions singing into that.

“Hello”, I said all of a sudden that surprised her. Milena almost fell off from the ladder, but I quickly grabbed her waist and hold the ladder.

“Whoa! What the potato, Eliza! You scared the hell out of me! My heart almost popped out of my chest!”, Milena screamed as she gently punched me by my shoulders. We were so close to each other that I could hear the racing beats of her heart. It matches mine.

“Don’t worry, baby. I will always catch you when you fall. So, fall in love with me again! And don’t you like it? I still got your heart racing!”, I said to her playfully.

“Oh, shut up! I will fall out of love instead! How did you even get in here? I locked the gate after my brother went out. You’re like a mushroom popping out of nowhere!”

She’s describing me as a food?! I laughed and winked at her seductively and said, “Potato? Mushroom? What’s next? Do you see me as a food? Are you craving for me? Well, baby I cannot blame you. Only blind people will not crave for a body like mine. You know, you can peel my clothes like peeling potatoes. Then you can consume me like a mushroom! I met your brother on my way here and he lent me your gate key.”

I put my hand over my chest dramatically as my seducing technique failed! I told her why I’m missing the past few days and told her that I miss her so much. My heart ached when she said that she never miss my presence.

I followed her to the kitchen as she gave me a juice to drink while she took a bath. I joked that I’ll go with her, but she just ignored my beauty once again. Milena went to her room and left me alone with a glass of orange juice, and some rice to cook. After a while, I went to her room. She’s still taking a shower, so I laid on her bed and hugged her pillows, sniffing her sweet scent.

When she went out the bathroom, I was a little disappointed that she’s fully dressed! I thought I could have a glimpse of her hot body!

“Hey brat! I told you to wait me at the kitchen! So why are you here?”

“I got bored. You took so long. I already cooked rice. Come here let me brush your hair.”

I saw hesitation in her face but still get her hair brush and let me brush her hair.

“Your hair is now longer than you usually have, Mi. My hair? I keep it longer than my preferred haircut because you liked me having long hair, right?”

“Oh, really? I cannot remember saying that. I liked short-haired girls. Remember Riz? Her hair length is above shoulder.”

I pouted. That Riz is one of the girls she flirted with! Mimi like short haired girls now! I need to have a makeover tomorrow!

“Actually, I like any hairstyle. But when it applies to you? I don’t think I’ll like it.”, she said that made me pull her hair in annoyance. I want to stab her with the brush I’m holding right now! She’s so good in making me mad! Maybe I need to borrow Cupid’s love arrow to stab Milena’s heart to make her fall under my spell again!

I pushed her away and decided to go back to the kitchen, but she grabbed my arm and hugged me from behind. I gulped hard when she buried her face at my back and touched my hair.

I blushed when she said, “I am just teasing you! You know how much I love your long hair! Wait, did you change your shampoo or perfume? You smelled like the flowers you gave me on our first date.”

I changed my favorite perfume because all of her flings used that same brand! Maybe that’s why Milena liked them. They smelled like me! I chose a flowery scent like the roses I gave her on our first date as my new body cologne, soap and shampoo so I could always be reminded of our romantic night.

I gently cupped her face and our noses touched. I smile as my fingers trace the shape of her lips. I want to kiss her! Her lips slightly opened like it’s inviting me to taste them! I bit my lip and stared at her eyes. I leaned closer to her, but I was surprised when she pushed me away and walked out of the room. What the heck?! She refused my s*x appeal once again!
