CHAPTER XVI: Neither A Friend nor A Lover

To make up for the weeks of being away from Milena, I asked her on a date. She said it’s only a ‘friendly’ date but it’s more than that for me. Well, it’s okay as long as we could spend the day alone and in each other’s arms.

I reserved a spot at a roof deck restaurant. Some beautiful love songs were playing as we ate our dinner. After eating, we sat at a private corner where we held hands while looking up the night sky. The place is so romantic! I walked near the balcony to take a picture of the city view. Milena followed me and hugged me from behind.

She whispered, “Thank you for tonight. This remind me of our first date under the night sky.”

I turned around to face her and our lips met. She slightly opened her mouth and our tongues explored each other. She held my waist when my knees wobbled a bit and leaned my back on a wall. Her hot kiss makes me weak!

I bit my lip when her tongue travelled down my neck and her hands wandered up and down my thighs. I pulled her closer and guide her hands to unbutton my blouse, but she stopped kissing me and said, “Date time’s over. Let’s go home.” She then moved away from me with her eyes closed and taking a long deep breath. She’s controlling herself again, but I don’t know if I should be happy that she’s still somehow being gentle with me.

On her birthday, I asked Milena’s brother to help me with a surprise party for her. Her parents also said that they would help me to cook and prepare. I waited midnight to greet my baby Mimi on her birthday before sending a semi-naked picture of me. I hope that would be a good start of her special day! Then six hours later, I went to their house to serve her a breakfast in bed.

“Wake up baby Mi! Happy Birthday and Good Morning!”, I whispered at her ear and kissed her cheek.

She rubbed her eyes, stretched her arms while still yawning. She’s still a goddess with her messy hair and wrinkled clothes. When she opened her eyes, she smiled so bright and hugged me when she saw the food tray I’m holding and said, “Thank you so much! So early for your surprise!”

Her mother helped me to prepare maple bacon waffles and a choco banana smoothie. Then at lunch, I invited her to watch two movies at a nearby cinema. We watched Finding Dory and Central Intelligence. I didn’t understand what’s happening on the screen because I’m too engrossed in hugging her and playing with her fingers. After that we went to eat at a Korean Grill Restaurant.

“Did you miss me, Mimi?”, I asked her and pouted my lips.

“I think you are purposely doing that MIA moves so that you can ask me if I miss you!”

I laughed and said, “I miss you Milena. Even if you didn’t notice my absence.”

She held my hand and planted a kiss on it, “Fine. I miss you too.” I blushed at her sweetness!

Then I told her how busy I got at work and that after I had my short trip in Australia, it’s my father’s turn to visit the Philippines. I’m hoping that she’ll get the hint that our sweet moments together will be limited again as long as my father is nearby. After our conversation, she wanted to play some shooting and car games, so we went to an arcade. I won a big panda stuff toy and gave it to her. We went back to their house before dinner and Milena was surprised to see the romantic dinner setup I planned with her family.

She looked at me and asked me if how I made plans with her parents. I smiled and winked at her, “I told you I have ways to make you fall in love with me again.”

After our dinner, I blindfolded her eyes before going inside her room. I told her to sit on her bed, then I straddled her lap as I slowly removed her blindfold.

“This is my final gift, baby Mimi.”, I smirked and leaned closer to her face. I put her hands on my legs as I gently cupped her cheeks. I looked at her lips then her eyes, I slowly kissed her lips. I opened her mouth so that I could explore my tongue inside. I deepened our kiss and her hands moved up and down my back. I wrapped my arms around her neck, but she slowly pulled back.

“We both know we’re not ready to do it.”

What?! I’m so ready! I pouted at her and sighed, “Okay. It’s your birthday and your wish is my command.”

She patted my head and ruffled my hair, “Thank you, baby, for making my day special!”

Am I hearing her right?! She called me baby again!

I screamed, “Oh, yeah! Mission successful! You called me your baby again! I’ll do anything for you, my Mimi! I hoped that I really made you happy today.”

She laughed and hugged me, “Yeah so happy! Thank you, my baby Azil! You gave me the best gift I ever had!”
