After lunch with my mother, I returned to the office with a lifted spirit. It’s rare my mother can read her children like a book and if today showed me anything, was that she knew me better than I know myself.
During our meal, I had asked for her advice on the matter with Nora and Nicole, though she was rather one sided, she eventually gave me her honest opinion.
“Axel, I raised you to be an honest man, not a man who puts business before his own heart. You love Nora and I know deep down she still loves you as well. Son, please. Do us both a favor and tell the poor girl how you feel. You may not have to tell her the truth right away, at least tell her how you feel. If you haven’t realized, I’m getting older, not younger.
