HEART BROKEN - PART VIII

We were lying in bed, with my head on his chest, as I ran my fingers up and down his torso. "Sorry about earlier." He said after a while.

I pushed up on one hand and was now looking at him, "want to tell me what happened?" He shook his head gently as he pulled me back on his chest. "Not right now."

Checking the time on my phone, it was now 5 pm and I know Chris was home getting ready for her date. Dialing her number, I decided to give her a call to make sure she hasn't changed her mind or wasn't nervous. It was her first official date and I know she would be nervous.

She answered the phone on the third ring with a small 'hello'.

I walked out of the room and out on the balcony, so I wouldn't wake Axel. After the morning we had and part of the afternoon, he was now sleeping. I guess since he had to wake up early for the meeting, he didn't sleep much.

"Hey love bird!" She exclaimed startling me. "I don't know what you're talking about." I tried to play it off. "Anyway.... are you ready for your date?" I asked, changing the topic. "No, I have nothing to wear. I feel like cancelling. Should I cancel? Am gonna cancel." She rambled out.

"Chris, deep breaths. You got this." I tried reassuring her. I understood the reason for her nervousness but she had nothing to worry about. Lucas likes her or else he wouldn't ask her out.

She took a deep breath and exhaled. "Good. How are you feeling now?"

"Still nervous but I got this. Although, I still have nothing to wear."

"Yes, you do, go to my room." I waited for her to tell me she was there, "open my closet and looked at the far left of the closet and pull out the last hanger." A high pitch squeal can be heard from the other end of the phone.

"Oh, Nora, It's beautiful."

"Glad you like it. Now go and get ready and have fun." I told her as she started squealing again.

"Thank you, Nora, you're the best. Love you loads, I'll tell you how it goes."

I said a quick 'love you, bye and hang up the phone.'

A pair of arms, wrapped around my waist with a light kiss to my neck. "I woke up and you weren't in bed." I turned in his arms and placed a light kiss on his lips. "I'm sorry. My sister has a date tonight and I knew she would be nervous and tried to change her mind, so, I called to make sure she was ok."

"That was sweet of you." He rocked us from side to side. "She has been dying to go out with him, ever since she laid her eyes on him." I said rubbing my hands up and down his arms.

"You're amazing."

I blushed a little and hid my face into his chest.

After some time on the balcony, we walked back into the room. "So, what do you feel like doing for the rest of the evening. I'm all yours."

"All mine huh?" He simply nodded and I smiled.

"Well there are a lot of things we can do but what would you rather we do?" He placed a small kiss on my lips and I melted into his embrace. I can never get tired of his lips. They're so soft and amazingly addictive.

"We can stay in and watch a movie, or we can go out?" I said as I raked my hands through his disheveled hair. "I have something in mind actually."

"Oh yeah?" I smirked.

"Not that, you dirty minded woman."

I threw my head back laughing heartily.

"Such a perv." He broke away from my embrace and walked to the bathroom. "Takes one to know one, Mr."

"Touché."

We got dressed and headed out of the room. I had asked where he was taking me and he simply said it's a surprise. I even tried to bribe it out of him but he wouldn't budge.

His lips were as tight as a wedge.

He had given the driver the night off.

As he turned off the intersection, he asked me to cover my eyes. I hesitated for a while but obliged. I wasn't scared being with him. Not one bit.

After driving for another 5-10 minutes, the car came to a stop. "We're here but don't open your eyes." I nodded and he opened his side, got out and walked around to my side, opened the door and guided me out of the car, with his broad hands covering mine, in case I wanted to peek.

"Almost there." He singsong.

He held onto my hands as he guided me down a path, I can feel the slight sinking of boards as I walked. With two more steps, he removed his hands and told me to open my eyes.

"Wow." We were at a small dock, with a boat in front of us. I've never been on a boat before and I was a little skeptical. Scared even.

As if sensing my hesitancy, he pulled me into his embrace. "Don't be scared, I'll keep you safe." I nodded and placed my head on his chest.

We walked down the small path to the boat and he outstretched his hand for me to take as he guided me onto the boat.

"I am placing my life in your hands and if anything happens to me, I promise I will come back from the other side and haunt you." I pointed a finger at him and he pulled it into his mouth, sucking on it.

That was so hot.

All my fears went out to the winds. He pulled me to the engine room and placed me in front of him. "You will captain the boat, so if anything happens..." He trailed off.

"Definitely not." I tried pulling out of his hold.

He tighten the hold on my hand but not to hurt and pulled me back in front him. "Axel I can't do this; I've never ridden a boat before let alone to captain one." He kissed the side of my head and my knees almost gave out from under me.

'This man was going to be the death of me.'

With shaky hands, I gripped the steering wheel. "Let's do this."

"Aye aye capt'n." We laughed and he started the boat. He pulled the boat away from the dock, making sure nothing was in the way and handed over the steering wheel back to me.

Being out on the ocean wasn't how I expected it to be. The way the boat rode along the waves, created a sense of peace and serenity in my body. Axel was still standing behind me, guiding my hands as we sailed along the waters.

It's an awesome experience.

We sailed for about half an hour before we stopped, to grab a light snack before we head back. The view of the island, had me wishing I can do this more often. Never had I thought this would be possible, especially with him.

Once we had finished our sandwiches, we headed back to the hotel.

"Thank you for that, I really enjoyed it. A lot."

He winked at me and we headed up to our room.

For the rest of the evening, we ordered some room service and watched movies. We talked a while as we played a game of truth and dare. And let me just say, it was one of the most exciting games of truth and dare I've ever played.

I was happy and I know I'm wrong for getting attached so quickly but I couldn't help it. Before bed, Chris had called to tell me how her date went and I was happy for her. She went on and on about Lucas and the way he was with her.

It was really a good day for the both of us.

I didn't want to tell her about what was going on with me and Axel. Hell, I don't even know what's going on between us but what ever it is, I'm going to enjoy it while I can.

Things always have a way of getting complicated, very fast.

Axel and I enjoyed our night with a night of passion and I fell asleep in his arms, like I've been doing for the past couple nights.

Sleeping in his arms, has become my new favorite place.
