My heart pounded to no end in my chest as we waited. Waiting for the news about Nora’s condition. I still could not fathom how someone can be so wicked.
Then again, if life has taught me anything, is that when someone wants something or someone, they would do the unthinkable.
“I’m going to get some coffee, would either of you like some?” Chris asked, already standing to her feet.
It shook me to my core, so much so that I couldn’t muster a simple no or yes, instead I nodded. “Lucas?” She asked, facing the man with his face as white as snow.
Although he recently found out that he and Nora share relations, they have grown exponentially close over the last month. It was overwhelming to see my girl and my best friend able to get along.
