Bang!!
“Stay away from Axel Nightingale. This is your only warning.” That was the last thing I heard before my eyes closed and darkness took over.
I was unsure of how long I was out, but I woke up screaming my lungs out with a burning sensation in my throat. The memory of being shot replayed in my head, along with the shooter’s last words.
Bright, blinding lights had me blinking rapidly, trying to adjust my focus to the room. I didn’t know where I was, but standing in front of me was a woman robed in a white dress and a man with a white coat.
Okay, so I was at the hospital. No doubt about that. With the annoying beeping of the machines hooked up to me, the plain white walls and not forgetting the stench of cleaning products.
