Nora woke up to an empty bed. The spot where Axel laid was now cold. Which could only mean he left a while ago.
A pang of disappointment reared its ugly head in her heart. Somehow, she was hoping to wake up in bed with him after being apart for so long. Rolling out of bed, she left the bedroom and to the kitchen.
