CHAPTER THREE: HE'S NOT DEAD

_Raynard’s POV_
To hell with it.
If someone told me years ago that I’d have a human mate, I would’ve laughed.
But Selena did it. She bonded me to a human.
Humans I find weak and pathetic. That with just a snap of my fingers, I could crush them.
At first I hated it.
I wanted to reject the bond. Wanted to rip it out and pretend it never happened.
Then I saw her eyes.
Those eyes pulled me in like a magnet. I couldn’t look away, couldn’t fight it.
I knew right then—I couldn’t resist.
The bond was stronger than I thought.
“Bravo, Selena. Bravo.”
My voice echoed through the study when the door opened. One of the maids stepped in, head down.
“Master… the madam has refused to eat. If this continues—”
“Shut up,” I cut her off. “Leave.”
She froze, then bowed quickly. “Leave the food here. I’ll take it to her myself.”
“Yes, Master,” she whispered, and left in a hurry.
My mate’s sure is getting on my nerves.
How dare she think and cry over another man?
" Even if I hate you now for making our mate miserable, I couldn’t agree less when it comes to that motherfucker. Maybe we should visit hell and torture him,” my wolf proposed.
“Calmz boy,” I said. “Let’s focus on our mate. She hasn’t eaten.”
“Then walk fast, men. Move the damn feet!” he shouts.
“I’m going,” I mutter, rolling my eyes at my wolf’s childish behavior as I hurry to see our mate.
_Third person pov_
Reynard enters Dandelions room. After their last encounter where Reynard revealed Lucas death, Dandelion tried to escape, all to no avail. later she said she couldn't sleep with the 'demon' that killed her fiancee. Since then Dandelion stayed in her room lost in thoughts. she didn't even notice when Reynard enter as he calls out....
" Princess.... Princess" he shakes her while looking worried as she snaps
" what the hell do you think you're doing?"
" I brought your food princess, how about you..."
" No! " she shuts him down" how about you get out!"
Reynard chuckles coldly
" Don't tell me you're still thinking about him?" he peels a shrimp for her but she ignores him
" you see.. " he continues " I don't regret killing him Princess... He deserved it.... "
" Go to hell! " she shouts exasparetly but he smiles coldly
" I wish baby.... So I could beat up that asshole until his spirit dissipate into nothingness"
Dandelion gasps as her eyes widen " how cruel can you be? "
" Cruel? " he sigh" After having an affair with another woman he needs a beating" he turn to look at her as he saw confusion in those eyes of hers
" you see... That asshole wanted nothing to do with you. . just the shares in your hands. he probably wants you dead later or locked up" he looks at her " so, give me a good reason I shouldn't go and kill him for good! "
" you're lying " she breathes out as silence envelope them for a while
" I know you'll say that" he wash his hands
" come in" he commands as Dandelion gasp
" Lucas! " she stands up slowly " you didn't kill him?" she whisper
"well I......" he stopped, while been speechless on what to say. He sent his assistant to kill the damn guy only to find out that the i***t was a wolf.
"Did you do it?" Dandelion asked as Reynard breaks out from his reverie, as silence ensue while Lucas kept shut
"Answer the damn question pup!" Reynard yells while turning on the alpha mode as Lucas trembles
"Alpha I...Dandelion" he begins, only for him to be smashed into the wall as Reynold strangles him.
"Don't think or breathe out her name, pup. Or I swear you won't leave here with your body intact"
"Leave him Reynard. Let him speak!" Dandelion yells as she trembles from exhaustion. As Reynard drops lucas onto the floor
"Did you do it?" she asks again " Was everything fake? Did you have an affair, tell me it's all a lie. You never wanted my mom's shares right? You loved me and will never kill me? Talk Lucas! Say it! Did you do it?!!" as Lucas tremble in fear.
"I did it" he bow his head in shame " I mean, I was sent ... my master sent me. He wants to kill you and take the shares!"
"But why?" Dandelion mutters to herself " I don’t even know who is... I don't think I offended anyone, how? The shares is not even mine. It was my mother’s. That was the only thing she left for me"
She cries into her hand as lucas continues
"I really don't know why my master wants Miss Carlson dead, but after some research, I found out that he did it for his mate. He wanted all the shares for Miss Carlson step sister........I swear I wasn't going to kill her. I would just take the shares and wipe out her memories. That was all. I didn't even think of killing her at all" he confess while sweating heavily.
Meanwhile, the dumfounded Dandelion looks at Lucas as she trembles again. "So all these emotions, all the affection, everything you did was fake? It all had a motive? He wanted me dead? I can't believe all this was happening. Lucas, you lied to me! You could have asked for the shares - I could have given it to you. But you deceived me, had an affair, and still you couldn't even tell me the truth. Just leave! Get out! Get out!"
She yells as she falls onto the bed while trembling.
"Take him out Johnson...you know what to do"
" yes boss" he grabs Lucas as they leave.
Dandelion turns to look at Reynard with a tired face " Help me Reynard.... I need your help" she collapse on the bed
