Chapter 14 MY CALL TODAY WITH Det Harmon was less than pleasant. Due to the amount of conversations I have had with him both on and off the record within these past weeks, it was looking like his investigations were turning up nothing but dead ends. But despite Det Harmons’ desperate tone I understood his situation. Being deep into an investigation is exhausting. I could imagine that getting to the bottom of a homicide, answering the question of who done it and why, is a dark business. In this case, there were many unanswered questions. It didn’t help either that I knew things about this case that I was not supposed to, and I’m sure he was aware that I wasn’t telling him everything. I kept all documents, correspondences, and notes regarding my private investigation close to my chest. As
