I met Father Ortiz the next afternoon at his church. Apparently being a priest in the Los Angeles area is not only extremely busy but also very demanding. He had a window of a few hours in between his last late morning service and with his evening mass. This time, as he explained, was used for counseling appointments or in some cases confession all while squeezing in a bite to eat. He had reserved this window for us.
