A toast

The Wedding ceremony was beautiful and everything I imagined it to be, but now it was time to party. I changed into my reception outfit. It was a sparkly piece short outfit that had one shoulder strap and a large silk sparkly train that was removable. Greyson wore his suit pants and shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the middle of his arms and it unbuttoned down to his chest. My anticipation for tonight grew as I drooled over my husband's sexiness. We entered the reception area and everyone began cheering. Greyson led me to the dance floor as the DJ announced “let's welcome Mr. and Mrs. Greyson brier to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.” Greyson took me into his arms and our song played over the speakers.

Your love lifts me like helium.” Greyson held me close as I lay my head on his chest. My mom and dad along with Greyson’s joined us on the dance floor and finished out the song.

After dancing and cutting our cake we sat down to have a delicious dinner prepared by the coven. It was at that time everyone shares the speeches they had written for us. My mother went first.

“ As Gabriella’s slightly older sister — just kidding!” We all laughed but in all seriousness, my mother looked stunning and not a day over 30. She continued, “I want to thank you all so much for coming out to celebrate Gabby and Grey's wedding day. On behalf of our entire new extended family, we're incredibly thrilled and eternally grateful to ring on this joyous occasion with you. My heart is full of love, gratitude, and appreciation for our friends, family members, and loved ones who came to attend the wedding.

While Gabby's father and I raised her to be strong and independent, we couldn't be more thrilled for her that she's found her real-life fairytale with Grey. Grey: You are kind, gentle, empathetic, and comforting, and I couldn't have wished for anything more. More importantly, you embody everything and more I could have hoped for in a husband for my daughter.” Tears fell down her eyes as she came over and hugged us both. “I love you, momma,” I whispered in her ear.

Next up was my father, “Please stand with me and raise your glass to toast the happy couple. Gabby has been the light of my life for the past 17 years and today I hand her over to Grey. I know he will love and cherish her every bit as much as I do a toast to a happy and healthy life full of endless love and laughter!” he raised his wine glass and we all saluted him taking a sip of our wine.

Greys mom Grace our Luna was next, “. Greyson my son, I love you so much. On your wedding day, I am overcome with so many happy emotions: love, gratitude, excitement, and joy. You could not have found a better bride to spend the rest of your days with. Gabby thank you for making my son so happy. I am more grateful to you than words can say. There are merely not enough words to describe the sense of peace that a mother feels in her heart when she knows that her child is taken care of. While I know that my son could fend for himself and survive alone in the world, I also know how nice it is to have someone to care for you and spend the rest of your life with you. If you are lucky enough to get that chance, then you can never take it for granted. Gabby and Grey, I wish you nothing but happiness, success, and endless love that will burn brighter and stronger between you as your days go by. I love you both very much. Take care of each other always.” She came over and hugged both Greyson and me. I could tell Greyson was moved by her beautiful speech.

Unexpectedly the alpha took the stage next, “Greyson as your father I am very proud to know you. I have had the rare pleasure of watching you grow from a baby into a wonderful young man. You cannot possibly know how proud I am of you and how much I love you. Congratulations to you and your lovely wife on your wedding day.” He raised his glass and we joined him in his toast. He nodded toward Grey and Grey smiled nodding back.

Greyson stood from our table kissed me on the cheek and took the stage. I gave him my undivided attention, “Firstly, I would like to say thank you to Zander and Helena. Thank you for your beautiful daughter, Gabriella. Your contribution to today has been amazing. I want to thank you for taking me into this family, it has meant a lot to me. Most importantly, thank you for raising such an amazing and beautiful woman. Doesn’t my wife look amazing today?

Secondly, I’d like to thank all of you for coming today. It is amazing to feel all this love and friendship. Thank you for your good wishes and for joining us in our celebration. Also thank you for your gifts, I am sure all of these will help us in our new life together, so thank you.

Also thank you to the coven High Priestess and Priests, you all look amazing. Today wouldn’t have been the same or possible without you helping my beautiful bride through today and offering us this beautiful sanctuary to safely have this ceremony.

Finally, to my wife. I just want to say a massive thank-you for always being here for me, making me happy, and marrying me. I love you.

For those of you who don’t know, we men do have dreams of our wedding day when we are younger. They may not be about the same as you women, about dresses and big churches, but we do have dreams. When I was younger, my dream was to marry a beautiful woman, be happy for the rest of our lives, have a family, and have a nice home. This is what I wanted from marriage. When I met Gabriella, I knew that she was different. She made me laugh in different ways, and the feeling of happiness I get when I am around her cannot be described. My wife is more than I could ever have hoped for. I love you, honey. Could you all please raise your glasses to my beautiful wife, the one I love, Gabriella?” Grey finished his speech and raised his glass. I joined him as tears slid down my cheeks.

Finally, it was my turn and my nerves were going wild. I kissed Greyson and then made my way to the stage as he took his seat back at our table. I stood in front of the microphone and looked out at everyone. Public speaking wasn’t my strong suit. Now, most of you here know Greyson well and I hope you’d agree that my list could be used to describe him perfectly. He’s honestly the kindest, most thoughtful person I’ve ever met.

He’s tall, and I love that he makes me feel small and protected when he stands next to me. He always has something interesting to say and his intelligence is obvious.

He’s the most tactile and affectionate man I’ve ever met. I’m sure you’ve all seen more than enough cuddling and hand-holding when you’ve spent time with us.

But it doesn’t stop there. Greyson can’t be summed up in just 10 words and I’m lucky enough that, as we got to know each other better, we spent our childhood as the best of friends but life drifted us apart for years and we have spent the last few weeks getting to know each other once again and I love this man as much as I loved the boy who made mud pies with me and played chase. So please join me in a toast to my perfect man, my husband, my Greyson.” I lifted my glass shaking and everyone mocked me. I made my way back down to Greyson and he held me right calming my nerves. “I love you wife.” He whispered. “I love you husband” I replied.

Everyone danced and drank and ate the night away. At midnight as the coven danced around the fire the wolves shifted and ran through the forest relishing the moonlight. Greyson and I ran together as we played and nipped at each other. It was the most perfect night of my life and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Tomorrow it’s back to the real world but I didn’t want tonight to end.
