I do

I was finally allowed to come home after 2 days at the healer’s home. He was a kind older gentleman with sparkling white eyes, platinum hair, and a frail build that drastically showed his age. He took care of all the sick in the coven. He had been blessed by the goddess with the gift of healing and the ability to feel what others felt emotional. His name was Ezra and he was now training his granddaughter to take over for him. She had sparkling white and silver eyes, a pale complexion, and platinum hair. She had just turned 16 and was practicing her craft and learning to use her healing gift. She had helped him monitor me and the baby. Their home consisted of several rooms they used for the sick and one of those had been where I was staying. Greyson and I made ourselves comfortable in our bed at our cabin. We turned the television to a hilarious comedy about 4 friends who woke up after a bachelor party in another country not knowing where they were or where one of their friends was and spent the next day searching the city getting too crazy mischief. Greyson and I laughed so hard that we were almost in tears. The end of the movie finally came to the end and the wedding was played on the television. Greyson grabbed the remote and pressed the mute button. I looked at him confused as he turned to me. “Marry me, Gabriella.” He whispered. “What?” I gasped. Marriage wasn’t unheard of in the werewolf species. Especially by werewolves who chose to live in the human world. Marriage hadn’t crossed my mind because ever since Greyson and I mated life had been throwing us curve ball after curve ball. “I want to be connected to you in every way. I want you to share my last name. I want to celebrate our love because goddess knows we haven’t had a chance to breathe since getting together.” He explained. I smiled lovingly at him. How could I possibly tell him no? “Yes!” I squealed. The Next couple of weeks were hectic as we prepared for the wedding. If I wanted to walk down the aisle without a belly sticking out I. In front of me, we would have to be married as soon as possible. My mother had become more emotional than I was crying at every planning appointment we had. Today was my dress fitting and once again she was standing behind me with tears flowing down her face. Greyson and I would be married on the coven’s land. We would have an outside wedding officiated by not only The Alpha but the Priestess as well so that I could honor my witch heritage. I was excited the coven had agreed to allow the wolves at the wedding to run with us at midnight under the full moon. Usually, it was coven law werewolves were to remain in their human form while on coven land but they made this exception for me and it meant the world. I gazed into the mirror at my wedding dress. It was stunning. My veil was cathedral length with 4d butterflies scattered over it. My dress was a flowing white sheer dress with draped long sleeves. It left the room around my tummy so that it wouldn’t show if I had a small bump. I fell in love with it and was so thankful the priestess had her grandmother make it special for me. I spent the whole week planning and arranging things for the wedding this Friday. We had chosen the day because it was the next full moon. Our wolves needed to run and what better time than under a full moon when we could feel the full power of the goddess? I arrived at the front door of our cottage to find the door locked. I knocked loudly hoping that Greyson was home because I hadn’t brought the key. We never locked a door because there was no need to with all the protection wards around. I could hear footsteps quickly approaching the door. The knob turned and Greyson opened the door a smile spread across his face. I raised an eyebrow “What are you up to?” I questioned him. He pulled a silk scarf from behind his back, “I need to blindfold you.” He instructed. I laughed “You can't be serious?” I quipped but her nodded his head that he was so I decided to humor him. He placed the blindfold over my eyes until I was cast into complete darkness. He then took me by the shoulders spun me around led me through the room spun me again and once directed me forward. Finally, we came to a stop and I was laughing hysterically. He was so silly. I knew he intended to stop me from k owing where we were in the house. Greyson untied the scarf and it fell from my eyes. I blinked the light momentarily blinding me. I looked around the room and tears ran down my face. Greyson had built us a nursery for our baby. Everything was gender neutral. We had decided to not find out the gender but had decided on the name Jordan for our baby because it worked for a girl and a boy. In the corner of the room was a crib decorated with a yellow sheet and bumper with white clouds. There was a cute light-up musical toy in the crib to play with while the baby slept. To match the white crib was a white changing table. It was stocked with lotions diapers wipes shampoo and so much more. The other corner near the window held a white glider rocking chair with yellow cushions and a footstool. The closet contained gender-neutral outfits and shoes. There were bottles diapers a hippy and a baby bathtub. He had stocked up on absolutely everything we would need. I jumped in Greyson’s arms kissing all over his face. I was so lucky to have him as a mate and I loved him so much. Wedding Day I stood behind the wall of flowers my arm hooked around my dad’s. “Are you ready to give me away?” I asked him “I could never be ready for that. You’re my baby girl she replied.” I love you, daddy.” I whispered as I heard the song signaling me to start walking out. “I have died every day waiting for you. Darling don’t be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I’ll love you for a thousand more.” My father and I began walking through the roles of seats following the path of flowers. I looked up from the beautiful white flower petals and locked eyes with Greyson. He stood at the front with his father the Alpha and The High Priestess. He looked so very handsome in his black tux. My heartbeat sped up as we got closer. My love for him was the strongest emotion I had ever felt in my life. I would die for his happiness. My dad and I stopped in front of the Alpha and the music faded out. “Who gives this woman to this man?” The Alpha asked. “Her mother and I do.” Replied my father. My dad took my hand and placed it in Greyson’s. He kissed me on the cheek and took a seat in the front row beside my mom. Eliza the high priestess began her part of the ceremony, “Welcome friends, family, and loved ones - all who come in peace to witness the union of Greyson Scott Brier and Gabriella Grace Baker. We are here today to celebrate with them and to share in their triumph as they proclaim their love for one another and the bond their souls have formed together. For those who may not be familiar, a Hand Binding ceremony is a little different from a traditional wedding ceremony in that it recognizes that love, like life, is dynamic. Traditionally, these ceremonies were done in Celtic lands, and vows could be taken for a year, or they could be taken forever because those Celtic ancestors understood that love changes from moment to moment and that every couple is unique - as is every relationship. Greyson and Gabriella have chosen to commit to one another today for the rest of their lives, but they understand that the love they commit to is dynamic and fluid, and what we celebrate is the eternal connection between the souls of Greyson and Gabriella, no matter what physical form their love may take. I’ve seen the evidence of the connection between these two souls. It’s in the way Gabriella smiles when she sees Greyson come into the room, or when she lights up ever so slightly at the mention of his name. It’s the gleam in Greyson’s eye when he talks about Gabriella or the way he holds her close when they’re together. There’s no denying that these two souls are connected. “ She smiled at the both of us as the Alpha took over. “Greyson and Gabriella, let there be no mistake. While the tradition of hand binding recognizes and accepts love as dynamic, it is not to be entered into lightheartedly, because it is a sacred vow. The vows you make today signify that your souls are bound eternally, whether or not your bodies are. You make these vows today with the understanding that you are committing to be a partner to one another and to honor the connection your souls now share. These vows are sacred, and they should not easily be broken, as you make them to one another in the site of these loved ones as witnesses. Knowing this, Greyson and Gabriella is it your intent to enter into this commitment to one another?” The Alpha asked us. Greyson and I looked into the eyes each other, “It is” we said together. “Then let us begin.” The Alpha announced. Greyson and Gabriella will you share in each other's pain, and seek to protect each other from it and ease them of it?” he asked “I will” we both answered. The high Priestess Then took over, “Then let the binding be so. Will you share in each other’s joy, rejoice in it with them, and look for the best in them always?” she asked “ I will.” We Answered “ Then let the binding be so.” The Alpha announced. “Will you share in each other's hardships and toil, so that the two of you may grow together?” The Alpha asked “ I will.” We answered. “Then let the binding be so.” The Priestess announced. “Will you share in each other’s dreams and work with him/her/them to fulfill them?” she asked “ I will.” We Answered “Then let the binding be so” The Alpha announced once again .” Will you use your anger to strengthen and temper the bond between each other? He asked. “ I will.” We answered. “Then let the binding be so.” The High priestess announced. “Will you honor and respect each other treating them as an equal in this bond?” she asked “ I will.” We answered. “Then let the binding be so.” The High Priestess and Alpha said in unison. The Alpha then began “ Now that the binding ceremony is complete, it’s time to seal your bond with the exchange of rings. The ring has a special significance within both our cultures because it is a symbol of unbrokenness. It is also a symbol of completion - as the two of you are now complete. please repeat after me: I promise on this day to share your pain, your joy, your burdens, and your dreams, and to help you navigate the maze of life together as our love grows with us.” He explained. Greyson and I both repeated while placing our beautiful rings with a wolf design on each other's hands, “I promise on this day to share your pain, your joy, your burdens, and your dreams, and to help you navigate the maze of life together as our love grows with us.” The High Priestess then finished the ceremony, Greyson, and Gabriella having proclaimed the bond of your souls together in the sight of these witnesses, and based on the strength of that bond, and the power vested in us by the moon goddess, I now pronounce you married. Please seal your bond with a kiss!” Greyson and I smiled at each other and Greyson took my face in his hands and kissed me passionately. That same going warm feeling has always spread like a wildfire through my body. We pulled away and Greyson lifted our hands in the air as everyone cheered. “Ladies and gentlemen introduce Me. And Mrs. Greyson Scott Brier.” The Alpha shouted over the cheers.
