Having children just puts the whole world into perspective. ~Kate Winslet
1 week later
I held her as her tiny chubby fingers gripped onto my thumb. Her green eyes peered up at me with wonder and amusement. Her tiny mouth sucked on my breast. I loved everything about her whole heartedly and unconditionally. My heart felt so full it felt as if it would burst. My pup, my baby, my daughter. Jordan Helena Grace, Jordy for short. A knock name given to her by her father and I. Her eyes fluttered shut, her long dark lashes resting on her little rosy chubby cheeks.
Greyson gently takes Jordy from my arms. Seeing him with her makes me smile every time. She looks even smaller in his hands. Eight pounds seven ounces. She was a healthy baby despite being born two and a half months early. We had yet to figure out how this had happened. We had been spending the week acclimating to life as parents. Our parents had been over spending time with their granddaughter. Luna Grace had been so excited to find out that Jody was named after my mother and herself. Mom had fell in love with her instantly and dad, well she already had him wrapped around her finger already. The entire pack had sent presents with Greyson’s parents. We were overwhelmed with pink and purple cute frilly outfits, diapers, lotions, and shampoos. She had any and everything she would need for quiet a while. Breastfeeding had been an adventure to say the least. Jordy had to be coaxed to latch on and finally after 2 days of desperate attempts by Greyson and I she had started eating like a pro. The High Priestess Eliza, had checked on us. She had examined me and made sure everything looked okay. Today we were taking Jordy on her first outing to see the Coven Healer for her physical and spiritual checkup.
While Greyson tended to Jordy I jumped in the shower and then got dressed, drying my hair and throwing it up in a bun and dressing in my blue yoga and white short with a blur Nike check. I slid on my white Nike slides and took Jordy so Greyson could get ready. Jordy and I went to her beautiful room Greyson had built for her and I laid her on her changing table. I fetched a warm washcloth and wiped her down. I then applied lotion to all her little fat rolls and brushed her silky hair with her little baby brush my mom bought her. I took forever choosing her outfit and I finally settle on a little purple dress with a pink and blue tutu attached to it. I slipped in her tiny purple socks with lace frills and her white dress shoes Eliza and Harris had bought her. She looked absolutely adorable.
Once Greyson was ready and I had packed Jordy’s diaper bag and placed her in her stroller making sure the sun wouldn’t get in her eyes, we left to head toward the healers cottage. Once we arrived Greyson held the door open as I rolled Jordy inside in her stroller. The Healers granddaughter gushed over Jordy and how cute she was. “Can I hold her.” She asked. I looked at Greyson who nodded his head, “Of course.” I smiled at her. Greyson gently picked up Jordy from her stroller and handed her to Ilene. Jordy cooed and smiled as Eileen baby talked to her. Suddenly Eileen’s eyes glazed over. Greyson took Jordy afraid she might drop her. About that time Linton the healer came around the corner. He surveyed the scene in front of him and went over to Eileen. He stood next to her and held her hand. “She is having a vision” he explained.
Eileen was out of it for a good 5 minutes before her eyes went back to normal and she began acting herself again. Eileen had concern written all over her face. “What did you see.” I snapped. She whispered something to her grandfather and walked out of the room. “What is it?” I asked him desperation filling my voice. “Come into my office lets do her examination.” He acted as if nothing had happened. I tried calm myself as we followed him to his office. He took Jordy from Greyson’s arms and laid her on the table in front of him. He measured her body and her head. She was smiling at him and being such a good baby. He checked her joints by bending her arms and legs. He then took pulled out a tiny needle. “I’m going to prick her heel for a blood sample. She will get her vaccinations today as well. We should have the results in a couple days.” He explained to us. He removed Jordy’s sock and picked up her heel. He stuck the needle in her foot quickly pulling it out but then he flew across the room as if an invisible force had pushed him backwards. Greyson and I gasped. Greyson went over to help him up. “I’m okay.” He assured us and went back to putting Jordy’s blood in a tiny vial. “I’m not here to hurt you Jordy.” He reassured her. “Wait! Did my baby just do that to you.” I asked him. He ignored me and continued his work. What the hell? I thought to myself. I looked as Greyson and he looked as confused and desperate for answers as I was.
After the Healer was done with Jordy’s examination I picked her up and we followed him to the room across the hall where his desk was. He instructed us to sir down in the two empty chairs in front of the desk. “What’s wrong with her?” I blurted out. He looked up at me from the papers he was reading and smiled reassuringly. “Nothing is WRONG with her per say.” He replied. “She is a very healthy baby but seems to be growing at a fast rate. Seeing as you only carried her for a few weeks I checked her growth rate and her measurements are measuring at a three month old infant rather than a newborn. I suspect this may continue until she reaches maturity and then most likely it will slow until it completely stops.” My mouth dropped open as I stared at him. Was I hearing him correctly? “So once she turns eighteen she will no longer age” I asked. “That is my belief.” He answered. “She also seems to have telekinesis. She can move objects even throw them as you seen in the office when I pricked her heal.” He explained. “ Is this what your granddaughter had a vision of?” Greyson asked. “Yes.” he started. “She also seen danger signs surrounding your wife. It seems Jordy is very worried for her mother.” He pointed at me. “I can’t process all this right now. I just can’t. Can we go?” I asked my heart rate picking up and my mind racing. “Yes you are finished. If you have any question please feel free to call or drop by anytime. Id like to see her again in 5 weeks.” He instructed.
I needed to run. My wolf needed free. I needed desperately to clear my mind. Greyson agreed to care for Jody while I went to the forest for a run. “I love you be careful.” He warned. “I love you to. Mommy loves you Jordy.” I told my two favorite people in the world. I kissed them both and headed toward the forest already removing my shirt and bra anxious to shift. I came to the edge of the forest and finished undressing. My wolf came forward and I could feel my bones breaking and realigning. I could feel my magnificent fur growing out. My canines extending and my back lengthening. My paws felt good on the cool ground. I looked down and watched as the muddy dirt squished between my white paws. I rolled in the grass scratching my back on the hard surface. My wolf took over and it was as if I was sitting in the back of a car watching the road in front of me. Sometimes it was still surreal to me. I hadn’t even turned 18 yet. Life was becoming so much different than it was supposed to be. I had wanted to go to college and explore the world. Bow I was a wife, a mom, my baby had special powers, my mate and I were prophesized to be the step best of all the supernatural species. Why did things have to be so damn complicated. My wolf stopped on a mountain side and we sat in the grass and looked out over the mountain tops. I didn’t know how far we had run by this was the most beautiful view.
The sounds of approaching vehicles caught my attention. My wolf was instantly in fight or flight mode. Fight being her preferable method. Three black trucks with men in the fronts and the back came from all sides of me. One in front, one to the right and one to the left. I was being ambushed. “Your baby is worries for your safety.” The healers’ words sounded in my mind. I was trapped and had no way out of this other than to fight them. Come on Gabriella your supposed to be powerful dig deep and find your powers. All I could think about was Greyson and Jordan at home waiting for me and as much as I loved them it was a distraction. I couldn’t focus. As they came closer, I could see their faces. There was 12 men all together. The ones in the back were armed with some type of rifle. A stinging sensation in my back caught my attention. I jumped and whimpered rolling on the ground. It was a tranquilizer. Truck Is been hit. Another shot hit me in my other side. Everything started to spin and my vision became blurry. I fell to the ground my body feeling heavy. The men walked over to me and I recognized one of their scent. It was the man who got away last time. He bent down his breath smelt of stale beer. He looked as if he hadn’t bathed in a week. He had large circles under his eyes. He looked lost and defeated. Don’t do this. I thought unable to push the words past my lips. "Count Lucifer is going to pay us double for bring you back." He sneered at me. It took them all but finally they all lifted me and placed me in the back of one of the trucks. The same man jumped in the back withy me and two other men. “Where’s that little black wolf when you need him huh honey?” He laughed and I wanted to throw up from the smell of his body odor and his breath combined. “You weren’t screaming that when you ran from him screaming little a girl.” I wanted to scream back so bad but my body wouldn’t allow me
“Will she shift back to a human?” one of the men asked. “She should shift once her mind has relaxed.” He answered. Their voices seemed to echo and became distant. My vision grew darker until there was nothing. “Please don’t take me from my family.” Was my last thought before I fell into oblivion.
