A knock on the door brought us back to reality and Gabriella made haste to place the food on the table while I greeted our guest. I’ll just put this ice cream in the freezer and put the pie in the oven on low to keep it warm.” Gabriella announced. I had noticed Gabriella had become a mother figure to Cassie after all they had been through together I only hoped that she didn’t cross any lines for fear her mother would get angry or have her feelings hurt. After Cassie had washed up I pulled Jordan over to the table and we all sat down to eat. “So, Janet did you and Lincoln grow up in the same pack?” Gabriella asked Janet. “He grew up in the pack we are a part of the bow and I grew up in the Red River Pack in Colorado. We met when our families went on vacation and just so happen to the same spot in the Smokey mountains. Our eyes met and that was it. I left with him and went back to our pack and was accepted with open arms. It’s now my home and I couldn’t imagine being a part of any other pack” She explained. “Wow it’s incredible how the Moon Goddess plans everything out for us isn’t it.” Gabriella grinned. “Lincoln what position do you hold in the pack?” I asked him curiously. “I am the Gamma to our Luna.” He informed me in his deep gruff voice. “Which is why it's so hard for him to be here. His instincts are screaming for him to go back to our Luna and protect her.” Janet informed us. “That’s completely understandable. It just shows how much your family means to you. We do anything to keep our kids safe as parents.” I expressed chiming in. “This is daddies’ little tomboy. I’d give u life for my youngins’.” Ge scuffed Cassie’s hair. “Dad! You're messing up my hair.” Cassie giggled. I noticed Gabriella smiling at them and was relieved that she saw how happy Cassie was with her parents. She had been so worried since they came back. “My pack and especially myself want to offer any assistance with the problem at hand Alpha.” He offered. “Please call me Greyson,” I told him. He nodded his head acknowledging me. “Are you guys capable of the security you're going to need once you're able to return home? I could send some men over to help.” I offered to know their pack was one of the smaller packs on this side of the country. “Our Alpha is working on getting our village relocated to our safe house so that our family along with others are safe from the council. Lincoln gave Gabriella a disapproving look. “You don’t have Alpha blood Cassie. You have Gamma blood like your papa! You will be a Gamma or maybe even a Beta but you won't be an Alpha. It's not in your jeans.” He corrected. “We don’t like give our youngins false hope. We’ve always been upfront with them whether it's their position in the pack or where babies come from. “ Janet explained. Gabriella held her mouth in a tight lined but forced a smile and nodded her head.

After we ate and had a helping of dessert, we said goodbye to Cassie and her parents and cleaned up the kitchen. After changing into our night clothes, we finally crawled into bed and I sat holding Jordan’s hand and cuddled up to Gabriella as she fed Jordan. “Babe I’m worried Cassie’s parents wont be able to protect her.” She admitted. “Gabriella, we have to allow them to be her parents. We can’t take over and boss them around. They're her parents. They have their ways that are different from ours.
