Premonition

840 Words
Gabriella awoke in the middle of the night to the ground shaking. There were never earthquakes here so she tried to quickly get my bearings under herself. Greyson wasn't in bed with her which was odd. He usually never left my side. She swayed back and forth being thrown from table to chair to countertop. It was as if the very pits of hell were rising through the earth. The house creaked and snapped around me and pieces of the roof began falling off. Gabriella finally made it outside. There was a crack straight through the center of the pool that had drained it completely. She could see a figure laying off to the side of the house and she made her way over to it the ground still throwing her around like she was in a fun house. Her eyes grew wide when Gabriella realized it was Luna. Blood pooled underneath her head, but there was no explanation for it. She had hit the soft ground when she fell, not concrete. It may have knocked her out but it shouldn't have done this. She tore off her shirt and ripped it tying it around Luna's head to stem the bleeding. Gabriella could hear shouts and screams in the distance. She didn't know what to do other than make her way toward them. Bodies were scattered all over ground and she checked each one as she went. It was as if each of them had suffered head trauma and wouldn’t respond. When Gabriella found her mother a scream ripped from my vocal cords. After the initial shock, she knew she had to hide. Gabriella drugs her into the tree line and into a sturdy old cave where she surrounded her with stones that would catch any others should they fall and prevent her from being buried. Gabriella finally made my way to the clearing where the changing ceremony was held and she gasped at the horror around me. Almost her entire pack lay dead at her feet while her father, Greyson and the Alpha fought off who she knew to be the council but they had changed somehow. They was stronger and larger. They now had powers beyond anything she had ever seen, even her own, and he knew how to use them well... 'STOP THIS!” Gabriella screamed causing everyone to turn to her. She could feel her power building inside me. She felt as if molten lava was traveling through her veins. The Count looked at her and smiled before he threw his hands in the air and lightning was entering his fingertips. He was drawing energy from the sky building his powers. The Count threw his hands out in front of him and lightning boots entered her father and the Alpha. Then, the world seemed to stand still as Greyson was struck. She could hear her heartbeat in her eyes as she ran to her mate. She skidded across their ground and fell to her knees holding him in her arms. It was as if her heart was devoid of any feeling and her eyes grew dark. The sky above them shifted from gray to red as the clouds began to swirl. She kissed Greyson's forehead and gently laid it on the ground as she got to her feet. Her blood boiled with the rage that burned inside her. Everyone she loved was gone and she had nothing left. She smirked at the count as fur sprouted over her arms and her cabinets slipped down from her games. "Hello, Count!” she sneered her voice sounding demonic. "Want to play a game?” she asked him. A guttural scream erupted from her vocal cords. One of loss, heartache, and hatred. Her hair floated around her. The earth cracked open and hot lava seeped out. Dark shadows began rising and attacked the count and his men. Along with them hell hounds tore through the ground from hell and ripped into them. "Gabriella!” a voice caught her attention and she turned to it. Her eyes burning a crimson red she looked as if her insides were a volcano. It was her mother. "Gabriella, this isn't you. You are good. This is the small part of him that lies within you. You must not do it this way!” her mother screamed but her eyes flickered and turned back red. She turned from her mother and locked eyes with the count. "GABRIELLA!” her mother screamed. Gabriella bolted straight up in bed. Her. The skin was hot to the touch and her heart was racing as it would beat out of her chest. She could still feel the electricity from the power that had risen inside her. It had been a dream. Thank God. It had been so real. "Not a dream, but a warning.” Selene’s voice soy fed in her head causing her to go stiff. "A warning of what's to come. Prepare your people, and don't forget who you are my child.” her voice echoed.
