Chapter Sixteen At the bottom of the stairs, there was a security door. Glass window with metal wires running through it, too narrow for a human to slip through even if the glass was broken. Beyond the door, a small foyer contained a security booth, encased in more shatterproof glass. Monitors showed camera feeds from the cells beyond. The place was brighter than I expected, but with that institutional fluorescent lighting that hums and makes your teeth itch. The dungeon level was guarded, but not as heavily as I expected.
