Chapter Seventeen
Each of the modules of the Ring were connected to the hub, and to the adjacent modules. Our destination was module four, but we didn’t want the guards on our tail to know that. When we escaped the hub, we entered the portal to module two. It was a way station for us, but the guards didn’t know that. Once they entered, they would search module two top to bottom looking for us. We would already be through the portal to module three.
According to the blueprints we had acquired from the Piero Codex, each module of the Ring was identical to every other.
