IDOLIZING CHAOS

Real intents and dispair

          “There’s not enough time for us to get out of here. Its speed is too fast. There’s no way we can escape back to the wall.” shouted Sheena.

     She was grimacing in pain, as she had been pelted in the arm by a punch of the Kangaroo, causing a deep wound on her arm. A huge chunk of flesh was broken, and blood flowed directly from that wound. The wall she talked of, was the walls the previous kings painstakingly built to encompass all the areas opened to the forest, least they gave the demon beast free reins to raid all the lives of the commoners freely.

“There is a rather deep cave over here. Let’s hide in there for a while!” The Jake yelled towards everyone.

    They had continued fleeing from the Kangaroo all within the outer range, and after bypassing some large rocks, they charged into a group of giant vines that were grown together to make a curtain like covering. Jake suddenly stealthily slipped in, and when the others saw this, they all followed closely behind.

       The other side of the vines, there was a very damp cave, and it was covered with vines. A vague water dripping noise could be heard, and the lighting was extremely dim, making it almost pitch-black. The cavern was incomparably serene and hidden, and after entering, none of them were still. They all madly rushed in, and only after running ten meters did they stop.

       Within the darkness, there were heavy breathing sounds. After running continuously for almost 3 kilometers, all of them exhausted. Just now they were frightened and scared; that Green Star Kangaroo was too powerful. If that vicious Beast caught up, one claw swipe would turn them into a pile of bloody mud and crushed bones.

“Hu, so dangerous. Just a bit more and we would have been finished!” After escaping the calamity and getting a renewed life, Sally directly down sat with her buttocks on the ground.

“This cave entrance isn’t too large, so the Demon Kangaroo should not be able to enter.” Although they began to relax a bit, they did not forget to take precautions.

        The experience they faced this time was truly dangerous, and their corpses were almost buried within the mountain forest. They had finally begun to feel a bit more relaxed, while their backs were already covered with  a layer of cold sweat.

       The cave they were in was extremely deep and was linked up to an underground river. Cold wind swished by, looking at each other in dismay. They seemed to anxiously ask the same question with their eyes; how were they going to return to the entrance, none of them dared to exit this cave.

“Hey, that’s right. Jake, how did you know that there was a cave here?” Sally remembered that at the crucial moment, it was him that found this path of life, making her believe even more that her decision was right.

Jake hid his blush, Of course he would not tell anyone that this was a place he had discovered when looking for a secret place to freely bring commoner girls, After flaunting his might to the girls in killing few wild animals, he was where he usually led them to tie the knot.

     “That’s not even pressing right now, did you notice?  That was a Kangaroo with red stripe, coupled with the gem on its head; it looked exactly like the Green Star Kangaroo ranked 97 on the Rank 3 demon beast rating.” Sheena was clear minded enough to notice this.

“Really!? That’s unbelievable, what would a rank 3 Demon Beast be doing this close to the wall.”

    “But it really was exactly the same as what was recorded on the ranking list. It was this strong and terrifying, truthfully that couldn’t be a rank 2 Beast, we had fought one remember?.” Jake was suddenly trying to defend her, and his white hands were gripped tightly. His face, a little flushed red was a bit emotional, it was no secret that he had been trying to woo Sheena, since day one, but this cold beauty simply did not put him in her eyes at all, always behaving so distant every time.

Dong!

A sudden loud sound woke up the terrified adventurers from their revere. They turned their heads to look, and saw a huge body block all light from entering through the cave entrance. The Kangaroo’s head appeared, and its pupils were astonishingly cold and deep as it stared at the party within the cave.

“s**t! It followed us!” Sally face suddenly lost color, becoming incomparably pale.

“There’s no problem, the entrance is not large, there’s no way he can enter!” Jake said was quite bravely, and while speaking, he relaxedly started cleaning his sword, all this to give out a manly feeling and somehow entice the girls, if he did not use this opportunity to flaunt himself as a man when both girls were weak, he wouldn’t have the face to be called a man.

Bang!

Everyone took in a cold breath with the sudden bang sound coming from the entrance to the cave. This Kangaroo was just too powerful and it was so relentless; it made people tremble inside.

With one claw, it instantly easily grabbed the entrance and pulled the rocks to make space, as if the cave wasn’t make up of rocks but butter. Causing the three inhabitants to be filled with horror. Could it be that not even the cave’s entrance could stop it?

Kacha!

The sound of rocks shattering once again rang out. The Kangaroo was against used it short arms like a knife, splitting the rock walls into pieces. Huge rocks rumbled and tumbled, and that huge body stubbornly forced its way in.

“Ahhh! Do something Jake, 'Owh!' we’re going to die! Why aren’t you doing anything about it, Sheena use this opportunity to pierce it’s eyes, now!” Sally seemed to have lost all the composure she had before, She took out her bow and shot at the Kangaroo using her skill until she went out of the little Qi she had left. Unfortunately it didn’t seem to deter the Beast even one flimsy bit, it still moved forward while opening the mouth of the cave with every slice of it’s claws.

            “Why aren’t any of you helping ME!!” She screamed dismayingly.

“Shut up Sally, If we’re going to die today, nothing would somehow make us not, and if we are going to make it back alive, then no matter what it does, we would not die, stop being such a red eyed girl and toughen up, Jake if you still have Qi left, lets try to take it down now while it’s still busy” Sheena got disgusted looking at Sally screaming with tears all over her face.

            “I do have Qi left, Sheena, in fact I have a place that can get us out of here. But you see, I am not doing anything, not unless…..” Jake still stayed where he was, not even looking as if he wanted to get up from his relaxed position. He continues sharpening his sword without looking at either Sheena or the raging beast.

“What are you saying Jake, unless what?” She quarreled angrily; in this kind of situation they were in, how dare he still be so relaxed.

“Well, isn’t that simple to get, unless I make you both my women!” although that did not come out how Jake wanted, he didn’t care anymore, he had wanted them to beg him tearfully then he would now coax them, maybe through proposing to both of them, like ‘Please, before I go with this to hell, I just wanted to say that I had and would always loved both of you, Sheena with your cold beautiful aura and Sally, with your smiley beautiful face, just like the stars. Please do me this one wish, before I die I just want you to acknowledge my love, so that if I die, I’ll die without grievance’

     Damn which woman wouldn’t even get down to their knees in acceptance when he says that he had thought in his mind. If any girl would have heard that, she would’ve probably turned away in disgust, well that was if the situation wasn’t pressing enough. But unfortunately, the scene did not play out even a little bit. And it was all because of Sheena, Ahh! How dare you. So he then came up with this plan.

            Sheena was infuriated, How dare he think of this stupidity, worse of all it was now of all times,

“Jake…. You,”

“Jake, why did you wait to sat this now, to tell you the truth, I had fallen in love with you ever since the first day you brought us as a party into the forest for our very first adventure.” Before Sheena could even formulate all her words to say, The once fearful Sally had already knelt in front of Jake showing him her cleavage as she flirtatiously spoke with stars in her eyes, making Sheena want to puke with disgust.

         She wasn’t that angry per ser when she saw her whole fully accepting Jake, who wouldn't some thing in extreme situations. She got angry when Sally shamelessly spouted all the lies about their first adventure without any feeling about the lost lives of the adventurers that went to that first hunt too. In fact it was clear that she had just been dumped by a noble man and she then choose to fling with Max, the only good looking man with good skills in their camp. How could you say you had feelings for Jake when loud moaning sounds were heard from your tents the next nights.

                Jake also was feeling an intense anger, but this was targeted at Sheena, ‘Am I that ugly and disgusting to you, eh.’ He looked at the face of the unbelieving Girl and thought in his mind. He then got up angrily and walked up to her

“This is your last chance b*tch, between dying with grievance in this blood forsaken dump and being together with me, make your choice.”

  For the first time, Sheena looked at him and noticed how different he looked from the leader in her heart, yes although she was cold, she still had a heart, and it had almost been moved from the constant attempts by Jake, but she held on to her cool because of various reasons. It was until she saw him give up max without any hesitation, did the affection she had for him suddenly diminish. And now adding to this she had made her decision.

“If I agree to follow you, I would want open fidelity. Would you give up Sally for me?”

“Of course, right this instant” Jake said without thinking, It was when he saw the disappointed faces of both women that he seemed to have noticed he said something wrong.

 “Go with her then, am not following someone who have no trace of feelings for his close ones.”

“Sheena please,….”

“GO!!” She said without looking back, because she knew that if she did, the temptation that had been churning her would win. Who didn’t want to live, but for her, it was better to die without regrets than to live with a strong cord tied to your heart.

      Jake clenched his fist. ‘I had giving up everything for you and yet you don’t even consider, fine, before I had wanted to take you out of good will but now you should just rot in this cave.’ He then smiled evilly and tightly caressed Sally’s breast without any care of the situation, it was right that he had his way out. Immediately he pushed a rock some meters away to reveal a tunnel that led down wards and out of the cave.

“Just so you know, It would be futile to try to pass through since am going to blow the entrance to the tunnel up. You had your chance, but you….. Blowed it” Jake didn’t want to, but he had to if he wanted Sally to believe he had truly choosed her, it was his happy married life he was talking about, if he brings both of them out, then Sally would not be grateful enough to take a heavenly oath. This oath was used amongst cultivators as a way to bring the heavens as a witness against them, the consequences of going against the heavenly oaths was very severe, leading even to death or breaking of your heavenly Qi channels.

                That’s right, he had never believed Sally really liked him, he knew in his heart of his ugliness, and it had always been his drive to grow stronger and have his way in anything and also get rid of his inferiority, also it was a fact that cultivators could get more Beautiful or Handsome over time, or even if that doesn’t work, countless pills and potions were being circulated in the market that could beautify ones facial figure, although the price alone could scare off some rich noble women.  

True to his word, Booming sounds could be heard after they had passed through the tunnel. Looking at the incoming beast Sheena could not believe her eyes, he had truly left her behind!, the once opened tunnel did not bulge no matter how she pushed. By now, the Demon Kangaroo had already closed up to her, She turned to face this beast with bravery and resignation. ‘Since am to die, should not do it struggling for life like a rat.’ She strengthened her resolve and held unto her blade for on finally thrust.

“Ahhhhh!” She screamed and completed the gap between them, unfortunately the Kangaroo didn’t give her any leeway, it gave out a punch that threw her far back until she slammed hardly on the cave walls before she could seize her fall, spurting a mouth full of blood.

Again, she crazily ran forth again without rest. She had threw her daggers to god knows where after the last punch, but she still didn’t give up, he clenched her fist and punched out using all her strength.  

When suddenly, with a Bam, the visual image change, the Mad Demon Kangaroo somehow disappeared from the tunnel entrance and now a 15 or 16 year old seemed up pop up in her view. Unfortunately like an arrow that had been released, she continued in the air and slammed into the Boy.

     Like a statue he didn’t move a step and caught her in his arms. Weather by chance or what, she had landed in a Princess position in his arms. Their eyes met and a spark seemed to fly between them.
