Back To The Present.

Aeries expression became solemn as he turned to face the abominable monster.     At the same time, he tried communicating with the System again.   'System, initiate sequence. Form the rift now!!!"  [Ding, Bridging successful, time remaining to Leap back... 3secs.]    Before when Aeries came out to slay the first Time Monster, he had noticed the Artifact had already crossed several troughs back, Although this wasn't considered much, in respect to this unfathomable concept called Time he had no idea how far back this his leap would be, one thing was certain, He must have traveled far back to a Time when Warri was still alive... Even better maybe back to when he hadn't crossed over and was still somewhat happy with his family.   Aeries worried about all of this in just a split second. Although the looked long enough, the total time spent conversing with the system and assuming the time displacement wasn't even up to two seconds but was already enough for the Large High Blood monster to materialize in front of them with only a hundred meters apart.    Looking at this from another angle, the Artifact, the Human Temple seems to shrink to a ball shape in front of this Monster that towered over it like a mountain. Old Plaque had been constantly shaking in fear and closed his eyes with deep regrets. To him, everything that happened was Aeries fault and cursed him to doggedly insisting that the barrier be opened. He had chosen to forget that it was he who released his Soul Force in an attempt to break the miniature barrier covering Aeries then and tried to strike a killing blow at Aeries. To him, if Aeries had never existed then all his pains would have been sent to oblivion. Now how exactly were they supposed to Escape this predicament? It seems they should just the pig that Straightens its neck to be cut off.    Aeries did not expect the Monster to halt first and look warmly at the Titan Cannon close to them. Although it had witnessed its Youngling die just now, it did not forget the gruesome wounds that were inflicted on it after just three shots from the Weapon in front of it.   'that's good though, It should give us five seconds to completely link the bridge to the normal. Just have to act boldly   Series became calm and walked Strongly towards the Cannon. He gritted his teeth and started fixative at the Object of Horror, for an instance it seems his Soul had some damage by just looking at it and he couldn't help but shiver inwardly.   'Fierce, a single move and am dead'. Although he thought this, his face showed a strange calmness and even a hint of ferociousness. He placed his palms on the surface of the mount and exhaled softly.   "What are you going!!" The old plaque had noticed Aeries' strange demeanor and called out in a frantic whisper.    "Calm down Old Fool! Don't let my efforts go to waste."       The Monster Growled and it echoed through the entire space, causing fierce vibrations from the Artifact. Some Cracking Sounds were heard instantly from the Artifact and Aeries Soul shook visibly.  'System. Am going to DIE!'    "Ding! Bridge successfully linked. Do you want to -  " Do it now!" Aeries couldn't contain his anxiety and shouted aloud. The Beast, as if sensing something Cried out angrily and threw out its tail towards them. Although it appeared slow, Aeries narrowed his eyes when he saw Old Plaque's Frantic behavior.    [Ding! Time Leap in Progress. Congratulations!] That was the last thing Aeries Soul Body heard, but what he saw terrified him to no end. The tail that was supposed to be sluggish and unhurried had somehow appeared just right above his head and loud Cracking sounds rang out everywhere. And then he lost Consciousness.    Back to the present...    The Joran Capital's Auction Waged on, People screamed frantically as they Raised their bids and even went ahead to use hidden words to threaten their competitors.    The Auction held in the Imperial Trade Hall was a Large inner Pavilion circled at the top with 50 rooms specifically designed for distinguished guests who held the VIP tokens, that is the Plated Token with Diagrams of either Tiger, Pheonix, or Dragon. [See Chapter.....]    The other visitors acted as supplementation and occupied the large base hall, Surrounding the Auction Aisle. Even though their status was evidently low in the eyes of the Imperial Hall and even the Imperial House in the Empire's Capital, they showed no signs of anger and some even had smiles booming on their faces.   Amongst them was a group of children sitting tightly close to a man with incredible build and providing muscles. Although they never did bid for any item, their eyes were strained on the items and the bidders and even supported the ones they preferred with shouts of encouragements and would follow up with a sigh whenever their person lost the Auctioned item to another bidder.   "Master, when is the Imperial Hall going to Auction the weapon you want to bid for? I just hope nobody zeroes in on it.' One of the kids said with his eyes still fully glued to the stage.  "Not to worry much Kane, even if they don't put it up soon, there will still be something that would catch my eyes from their gallery. En, I have told you not to call me Master as if our bond is so auxiliary. Instead, you should just directly call me Father, as Aeries does." The man turned out to be Aeries Father, Earl Torres. He frowned subtly as he spoke to Kane, the best student he had ever trained personally since he got his Title. As for Aeries, he had thrown the useless son of his at the back of his mind. Well, although his son could be considered a dark horse, Hidden genius because of his Innate spiritual root color, Dual at that.    But the previous years spent with Aeries had made him believe that his son was doomed never to cultivate, perpetually remaining ordinary. Worse his aptitude these days had been so unbefitting for someone who would become a Master in the future. This son of his doesn't even cultivate diligently as his Student here but prefers to move out to 'explore' life and live in an indecent and wayward life.     Truthfully Colored Spiritual root doesn't mean much as it only applies to the power a cultivator can accomplish at that particular realm. Cultivation doesn't increase that fast unless there is a suitable Place or Item to use.     "Ladies and gentlemen, With me here this box with something that can make a Carp leap over the Dragon gate. A treasure map! " The Auctioneer shouted with a high octave voice. When the Earl heard this, his eyes shone with piqued interest as he stared at the box     "This map leads to a Mystic Plane which was presumably the warehouse of a very wealthy empire. This particular Treasure Crest opens once every 200 years and as Fate would have it falls.. *Ahem, I've been told not to share the location or time, but don't worry, the successful bidder would be the one to pry into this Treasury secret." When he heard this, his hand unconsciously rubbed his space ring and he frowned with contemplation. To him, this was a perfect opportunity to strengthen his House. Almost immediately though, several voices spoke put to renounce the claim of the Auctioneer which made him relax noticeably.    Although he still planned to partake in the bids, he lost his voice after the price raged on to 5,000 gold coins. Who was he kidding, Although he was an Earl, that was a fluked Title with no meaning at all. The taxes fixed for his City were raised to 68% to be remitted every month, which was as high as 6x that of other City Lords. Although he knew the King was personally making it difficult for him, he still chose to modestly pay everything every time. To worsen it all, Even his private expenditures to the Red Blood Forest were tightly controlled and monitored and his gains were ripped off. To sum it all, he was currently the Poorest City Lord in the whole Kingdom, with even some Viscounts being more wealthy than him. Every spending had to be done frugally and even some renovations were ultimately cut off.     His only hope was to raise the Kreiger House to its peak like back then.     "Mas, I mean Father. That voice doesn't it sound exactly like Aeries?" Kane yelled through the noise coming from behind.  "What? Don't be ridiculous, it's just your Ears playing tricks on you. Wasn't Aeries left behind, and even if he still came at most he'll be seated at the lowest parts of the Hall. You to say he is one of the VIPs? That can't happen" The Earl refuted while shaking his head.    When Kane heard that, he sighed softly and wondered how foolish he was to even think that. He shouldn't be blamed though, even the Earl himself could only seat st the best seat in the Low-class Area, not having the privilege to seat in one of the 30 VIP rooms.   He reconfirmed his notion when the bid rose to 10,000 Imperial Gold. How could that Slock Pants be able to scoop out that many coins from the measly savings he had after spending it anyhow. One should know that this wasn't Copper coins or Silver coins but hard, Scare Gold coins!         Aeries crouched down while quietly glancing at the treasure map he had successfully bought. Although it shocked him about the hidden dragons in the Imperial Hall, he knew that one day it wouldn't be a dream when he reached the same height as them and even surpass the so-called Powerhouses. 'With this, I can find the hidden treasure and use it to boost my cultivation through to the Martial General Realm. Then I can freely transverse through to the Empire Capital. It's just that-'that-' Thinking till then he suddenly paused as if he was in a trance...     "Huh? Hahaha! Finally made it out!" Aeries laughed out hysterically. He then stopped ad if he noticed something out of place and looked around confusingly.   "Huh? Where am I!?... You are, LANA?" Finally getting his bearings a cry of surprise came out from his mouth. This was Aeries who had time leaped back to some weeks before the fierce battle between the Chosen. He looked around curiously before smiling happily at the stunned Lana and the other girls. It couldn't be helped though, Although he had been in his Soul form when he was voyaging through Time, he still left ad if he had passed on for almost a hundred years or even more, after some time he wed even lost count of how long he had floated through. Seeing familiar faces here now had brought a smile to his parched lips.   *Good, Good. This Young Master can truly start this back from the very start eh! Wash your necks Fool, Troll."   "M-master, there is another person here to see you. Do you want-"  "No need... What am I saying, open the door and receive our guest would you? Don't mind my lapse in manners just now. I've scared you ' Aeries corrected himself mid-speech, although he already knew who was coming to meet with him, and what mind-blowing news the said person would bring, he still chose to follow the last appearance he made when he first saw it so ad not to leave any clues for that Scheming Krush.   As same as before, the man walked in, and after Aeries circulated his Qi to his palm in 'Caution' the man did not flinch but proceeded on to leave the documents and say some words at the door.    After he left, Aeries closed his eyes to scan himself for hidden dangers.   'I knew it, that last attack still damaged my soul regardless of how fast I traveled back.' His Sea of consciousness was injured with multiple fractures ridden everywhere. This would definitely take time and countless resources before it could be completely healed up but in the meantime, there didn't seem to be any adverse effect on him, only some slight ones like him not being able to have total control over the movement of Qi through his meridians and also losing focus on things after some time.    'Oho, y Sea of consciousness has expanded too!? Truly a blessing in disguise turns out that after staying this long in the Starry Sky, my soul had grown to an incomparable height. After the injures have been taken care of there is no doubt my Soul strength would lunge in leaps and bounds. What else is there   This! It really did follow me! Truly the saying, when Fortune strikes it comes in pair.' The purpose for his happiness was shocking, The Human Temple - the artifact that housed him through his journey in the River of Time - was currently suspended in his Sea of consciousness and it spun lazily around. Although it had shrunk to the size of a Pea, Aeries knew innately that if he summoned it, the size would shock all that saw it. This reminded him of a movie he had watched about a gorilla that hid a golden rod of nearly 2 meters inside its ear.  " Young Master Scorch, What happened, is there something wrong." Seeing Aeries still looking dumbly at the document without even opening it, Lana spoke out tentatively. though they now knew Aeries real name, to butter him up they choose to act as if they never heard it and the name he gave them.     "None, there's nothing wrong... The fact is, I just feel great. More than I had felt in a long time."   The maidservants could not grasp Aeries' meaning and concluded that it had to be because of the beauties he planned to buy. Although their thinking was prejudiced and somewhat lacking, women would always boast about being on the stage of men, and also their downfall.   Aeries had some guesses about that thoughts but choose not to voice anything out. In the end, he got up with a strange smile and said, "Let's go buy some slaves shall we"    'He he he, The Fool, Rogue, Troll! Am coming for you!"
