The two sides were already at their throats without any scrupulous. Being that they possessed this exact thought right from the beginning. "Bastard Boy! Bare your neck for my blade! If you want to blame someone, blame your house for choosing the wrong side. " From the red side, A bald shaven man came running towards Aeries, he wasted no time to lift his weapon - a jade sword - to s***h Aeries. “Sorry, This father is very occupied... Move out of the way." Aeries scoffed at the man's foolishness before sending a pinch to clash with the man's sword. Just as expected, The sword offered almost no struggle in the confrontation before shattering to pieces. Aeries continued forward and his fist sunk into the guts of the horrified man. Skidding to a pause, the man made some incorrigible sounds before fainting helplessly. Aeries did not turn to look at the body he felt behind. More we're to come. He had long made his decision after seeing the chaos ensuing around him, He had two choices; First was to sneak in to the 'suppose' Treasury. To do that he would have to be hidden, but that wasn't difficult to him as he had his Concealment technique, the Corpse Breathing Technique'> But this means required too much passiveness on his part. Undoubtedly, he might safely make it through, but on the larger probability he gets entangled in one of the fights, it would surely put him in a sore spot by inducing concern and skepticism on the real masters. . No matter what, He hasn't reached the stage where he could flaunt as he pleased in front of powerhouses at the Martial Flying Lord Realm. . The second alternative was even riskier, this was to be encompassed in the fight, pushing his way through to where the treasure room was... But this was equally dangerous, if not more. The most impactful factor here was how to get to the King's treasury... For one Aeries had no idea where it even was. Shit! What to do? His eyes blandly scanned his surroundings and he frowns at the impossibility of this mission. He moved to catch a better glimpse at the fight against the Two Martial Flying Lords and paled considerably. It wasn't a battle he could engage in at all! The two powerhouses entangled themselves almost instantly. First, they moved towards some minor characters and made slight efforts to 'clean the field' . But this did not last long... Maybe it was the attraction to battle it out and see who has the upper hand or the boredom they got from killing these 'ants', Both Flying Lords stopped their frolicking and clashed against each other... “Wrong! Their eyes have no battle intent!" Aeries' shocked face glistened as he chanced upon this hypothesis . He did not think much. His eyes had already changed to one of relief, he already believed his assumption was correct. . Just who were Martial Flying Lords? These were existence with the probability to levitate in the air and even break through the sound barrier if they reach the peak. Each of their blows had the force of several hundred thousand Newtons, enough to decimate a mini Mountain. All in all, they had more than 20 times strength and Qi than cultivators of the Martial Great General Realm even though they were only one realm above. . Aeries believed such characters would almost certainly not care about flimsy cultivators like them. What they were doing here wasn't fighting... they were Playing! Aeries eyes flashed with confidence “Looks like they aren't into this. Most plausible, the two princes emptied their pockets to 'barely' hire the two. But still, one thing would always apply... Contempt for the weak.” . That was the rule in this cruel world. The weak fear and worship the strong, but the opposite is the case for the strong. They would never pit these weaker in their eyes. This means the Flying Lords would leave immediately after they are through with the assignment they were hired for. Seeing as they weren't rushing to kill the Lower Cultivators, Aeries surmised that they were here for them. “That means the 'job' most likely, was to have a bout against themselves! Whoever won in their battle would have the power to turn the tables on us weaker cultivators then... I have to hurry. He no longer had a sense of anxiety as compared to before. After striking the Bald-headed culprit to pass out, he dove fist-first into the chaotic melee. [Hooong!!] Several cracks appeared on the once hardened cemented pillar. A figure limply fell from the point of crash. The person did not get up again. Probably fainted or dead. “Brat I sense something! Move on to the left. The treasury should be around that corner." “Are you sure? Wouldn't it be safer with the King? 'm sure it'll be in his space ring." Aeries answered Plaque unsatisfied. “Who do you think you are!? With my years of experience, You dare still be suspicious of this Father? Follow my instructions and you'll get there soon enough." ‘Am going to trust you this one time...' Aeries walked briskly to the left. Any hindrance was simply gotten rid of with his evolved Soaring Demi Body. But maybe it was because of how quick he was, a Master finally caught a whiff of his fast pace and decided to stop this stampeding hero. “Someone at the Peak of 4th Martial Great General Realm... This would be tricky." “You have cultivated a strong Art to make you stop growing while greatly increasing your strength, Old man. Just leave the treasure for me." “Are you talking to me?” Aeries couldn't help but ask. “hmmph! Who else if not you!? No 16 year old could reach such height in the cultivation world and still choose to furlong in such time-draining act. If you are not an Old man in a Child's skin then what are you," Aeries suddenly activated his Skill and vanished with a flash. The surrounding grew quiet for a while, before a Bang! The sound was heard, the Great General moved five steps back and his eyes shone with a stunned look. Aeries instead, was flung back and only manage to get his footing after several steps. But although this would seem like an unfair battle, Aeries had his eyes fixed on the figure in from of him. He had no doubt he could defeat this Great general... The only problem would be the time. He could not sacrifice his already shortened time by much. Already he was tasked with protecting his father. . 'What to do?' “One more! I don't believe you still have the same strength as before! Come at me again." The great general made a beckoning gesture and readied himself; Aeries made a thoughtful look before cracking his neck. He smiled as if he had noticed something, But still, he chose to ignore it. Ha! He activated his new movement skill and again, disappeared with a flash. Less than one-third of a second; he appeared on the right side of his enemy and struck out yet again... But this time, The great general did not attempt to get away or uphold his earlier words. The great general bent a bit to the side, and almost like the sting of a scorpion- He jerked his leg to meet the incoming Aeries. "You're so old yet still this naive, your sail to the Yellow Springs has long since been overdue —" His voice remained in his throat. Chest had been stained the dark red color and the coppery taste of blood assaulted his lips. "How did I die?" That was his last thought as he closed his eyes and gave away. "Too naive!" Aeries said noncommittally. He progressed on and walked to the left — all the while scanning for his Father. He had been doing this since he first came to the Plaza. "He's not here. The two princes aren't either... Could it be?" But that wasn't too productive right? Form what Aeries could tell, most of their manpower was stationed here. To carry such hidden weapons alone deep into the castle was unheard of. "Guess I'll check for him later. I need to complete my mission now." Aeries continued to apply the Corpse breathing technique whole getting closer to the Treasury. On the way, he made sure not to make any move but blended perfectly with the atmosphere. Like a corpse; Although he was seen, but strangely no one paid much attention to him. Maybe because the technique made him wobbly and pale. Finally, He made it to the far corner of the hall. Here injured cultivators were idly with recovery pills and potions. Seeing Aeries figure, the man with a purple sash called him over. "One should not be too premonitions boy. You still have long years ahead of you, why jump off the cliff?" “Thank you for such thoughtfulness. But my father is the head of my house. If he comes then I'll naturally follow." “Sigh. You must be the kid of Torres? find a way and leave now before it's too late." “W-why?" Aeries turned serious and shifted close to the man inquisitively. “I can't say much. Only remember; Sins of the father would be visited down to the offspring... Down to even the fifth generation." When Aeries heard this, he scoffed inwardly as he had already realized what the man meant. He had his guesses for a while and everything fits now. 'Another Great Purge!!' Just like before, they wanted to carry out a 'cleansing' and uproot all descendants of selected Houses... The Kriegers being one of the prominent ones. 'Where is my father of all times? How can he be so stupid! Sigh... I have to quicken my pace.' Aeries threw all disguises and burst out of the main. . Just as in medieval castles; The main hall was the largest room set aside for meetings and festive periods. Outside of it, there were multiple rooms which served as different functions... Form bedrooms to the Judiciary department to the kitchen to the main training ground for the King's elite. These many rooms weren't all quiet. In some of the room's several guards stood in orderly formation to protect the safety of whatever was inside. In fact, outside the chaotic main hall, Aeries did not see any unruly person. . This was simple; No house would want to do any damage to the King's property. It was something of a taboo. Since the King wasn't dead yet if he suddenly wants the defaulters to stone for their sins, no amount of resistance would help them — even the Princes would not bat an eye. This was the unspoken rule. On the multiple previous usurpations, their fights have always been performed outside the King's Palace. . Finally, Aeries to a depilated corner and suddenly halted. Thank the gods for the ceiling.' He thought. He jumped on it and traced his way to the direction Plaque notified. This time he did not go stingy on himself but fully used the Qi in his Shang Sea to activate the Corpse breathing technique. He laid on his knees and crawled over. Finally reaching a spot, he asked. “Old Ghost! What now!?" He whispered. "Hmmm, there seem to be series of complicated arrays set up somewhere. Wait a while. With my capabilities, it'll take a few minutes to unlock." "Hurry! We don't have much time!" "Cut this father a slack. when have I ever done something unbefitting of my image?" Aeries sighed nonchalantly, he struggled to make sense of what was happening just below him by straining to peep through a slight c***k on the ceiling. Because of the silence, every word they said was clearly heard by him. "I want you to make the final choice, King Fritz!" A voice was speaking harshly. "You... Don't seem to like me very much, Son. Do you feel am too ugly to be your father, ?" 'That's the king!? Lord of millions and the mastermind to hundred thousand deaths?' Aeries heart palpitated as he listened.
