Ariana's perspective When Gabriel called me nothing, my heart broke. I was shocked to learn that Gabriel had been unfaithful to me for a long time, and I had foolishly fallen for him. I was called special by Gabriel, but now I'm nothing. How could he change so quickly? My eyes filled with tears, and I shook my hand and walked away from the scene. I couldn't even stand up for myself because I felt so foolish and deceived. With tears in my eyes, I made my way to the car. I attempted to open the door, but someone else got there before me. I was crying before I had even had a chance to settle down. Gabriel could not have done that to me. I had a great deal of faith in him. How could he make me into a piece of garbage that everyone walks on? He even likened me to my sister, and I balled my fist. The gravest transgression you could have committed against me was your gleeful comparison of me to my sister. Mr. Ice said, "You should stop crying," which made my heart hurt even more. He said something, but how? Is it wrong for me to cry too? "How could you be so heartless?" I answered, questioning whether that was the proper way to console a hurting girl. He scowled. "Alright then cry and tell me what it solved" I gave him a fierce look before averting my gaze. He was right; I shouldn't cry, but how can I stop my heart from hurting? You ought to be resilient and give him back his own money.I was staring at him in shock when he said, "You should make him regret leaving you." How could I repay Gabriel when I have absolutely nothing? "How?" "I'm nothing, I don't have anything, I'm broke, I'm not pretty, and I don't even have a job," I yelled, flinging my hands in frustration. Tell me, then, how." I sobbed, attempting to contain the tears that threatened to overflow. His response was, "Then stay with me and I'll make your dream come true." Was he joking with me? How? Who is this guy? a Head of State? Jesus? I looked at him, wondering if he truly meant what he had just said or if he was just another Gabriel. "For the start, I'll pay you a hundred thousand dollars if you'll agree to be my date for the night" he smiled. "A hundred thousand dollars just to be your date for the night?" was my mouth dropping open. "To be exact, a fake date," he said, assuring me that this was all business and nothing more. He has got to be kidding me. He told me everything I needed to know about his father and his lover. Because of that, I learned that his name is Taylor Spenser, and believe me, the shock was too much for me to bear. "You're n-Taylor s-spe.....?" "Yes," he abruptly interrupted me before I could complete my inquiry. I inhaled deeply, attempting to calm my racing heart that was thumping forcefully against my chest. Spencer Taylor? among the most notorious athletes in history. How was I not aware of him? He was constantly highlighted in magazines as one of the most well-known new companies globally, along with stories about attractive women flaunting his arms. In what manner did I come into contact with someone of that caliber? "So you want me to impersonate your girlfriend, is that what you're trying to say?" He gave me a casual nod when I asked. Alright, things got interesting and messy just now. I cautioned, "You do know you're asking me to lie to your father," just in case he forgot that this was his father. "So?" he asked. Without even the slightest concern that he was asking a complete stranger to pose as his father, he asked, "Don't you feel it isn't right and I can't even get rid of the gory image of your girlfriend tormenting me for impersonating her on a night she's supposed to impress your father with her charms" in a casual manner. Taylor looked blankly at me for a moment before he started laughing. A few tears escaped the corners of his eyes as he laughed so hard, asking, "Seriously?" He chuckled. "Are you an author?" "I do the acting not the writing," I shot him a deadpan glare. "Figures," Taylor muttered. "I'm serious here, Taylor. How do you think your father will feel when he finds out you lied to him?" Taylor asked. I asked, and he remained silent, perhaps contemplating the error he was about to commit. Abruptly, he turned to face me, rested a hand on my shoulder, c****d his head to the side, and whispered in my ears. "My issue, my father. Thus, inside or outside?" I was perplexed about what to do as I studied his face for a long time. Was he really saying that he would assist me in getting even with Gabriel and that I was going to lie to his father? If so, would there be repercussions? "Why?"He murmured, "What?" and I swallowed nervously. "Why do you want to help me ?" I questioned, knowing that his response would determine whether or not I accepted the offer. Grinning, he grasped my hand and said, "I detest guys who make attractive girls cry." Was he really this person? "Seriously, that's all?" I chuckled. He pretended to be innocent and said, "Yeah, why? Do you want me to say anything else? "No," was my response. Taylor is a smart ass, even though he may be a player and all. He's playing a test on me right now. He's testing me, but why? Does he expect me to back out of the agreement or is he hoping for a romantic relationship? No way, he's completely inappropriate for me and way beyond my league. I prefer the good guys; bad boys and players are the bane of my existence. When I said "no," he smiled back at me. Would he ever stop grinning? I can't imagine what he's thinking because of it. I suddenly wished for the gloomy, dark days of before. That's why he was upset with me and wanted me gone. I'm not sure what he's really thinking right now, but "fine, I'm in." He said, "Well said," and held out his hand to shake hands. I gave his outstretched hand a curious glance. I won't share what strange happened the last time I took his. I gave him a phony, carefree smile and said, "Deal then, and for the record, I think we should keep our hands to ourselves." I can't show him how afraid and anxious I am. What if I don't win his father over? "fine by me" "Since we're all done, let's go," I said, directing his driver to take the intended route, but Taylor's expression suggested otherwise. He put his hand back in his opulent suit pocket. "What?" Not liking the look he's giving me, I asked "Do you really think you're going there looking like that?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He asked, gesturing to my clothes as though they were some sort of trash. I peered down at my dress, trying to figure out if I had worn it incorrectly or if there was some dirt on it that I was unable to see. I asked naively, "What's wrong with it?" while blinking. He was annoyed. "Your dressing is a straight giveaway, my father doesn't even need to guess if you're Christina or not cause my girlfriend is a fashionista and my dad knows I don't date girls who dress shab-...." "Shabbily?" His eyes softened as I finished for him. "I didn't mean it that way, Ariana, I just wanted to," I said. With regret, he attempted to explain. "I know," I replied, forcing a fake smile on his face. "So what do you have in mind?" Fortunately, he went along with my attempt to change the subject and defuse the awkward tension in the car. "Transform you from head to toe," he said with a smile. "I can't wait to see that," I said to Taylor, rubbing my hands together with joyous expectation.
